Ghaur

Ghaur had the priests below sound the alarm alerting those who hadn't yet figured out what was going on.

Gathering a group of elites together after hearing reports of an enemy invading into the buildings above including his own. Ghaur stabilized what he could, bringing order back to his people before taking his elites and heading off to find the king. He would try to save his judgment for when he found him, but it was already clear what he was going to do regardless. It was too confidential for their attack to begin and then for the city to be attacked in turn. Tode brought this on himself, onto their people, he had to be stopped for the betterment of the Deviant race.

Leaving Karygmax behind to take command and follow them later after saving what they could.

Ghaur leads them past the panicking common folk running around, pushing some away who sought their protection. Heading towards the secret back areas to catch up to Tode who was likely fleeing to one of his safehouses.

On their way, A door leading to another building above burst open with water spilling out as Atlanteans ran out blasting anything that moved.

Ghaur's guards immediately shielded him as he yelled for his people to attack the intruders,- "Kill them all!" He yelled.

The armed warrior-priests in white battle gear stepped forward, firing at the invaders, killing them rather easily while they were distracted with the public running around.

Before they could celebrate victory, more Atlanteans soon came running out firing back, supporting their injured.

Ghaur frowned,- "Atlanteans, what on earth are they doing attacking us? Filthy barbarians even managed to steal our weapons, hold on, what is that?" He asked out loud as he spotted his first Aqueos charging out into the open unafraid of the blasters as they pelted its grey fishy monster humanoid body.

The vampire Aqueos struggled running, its maneuverability cut significantly due to being on dry land, charged ahead fearlessly despite even being weakened slightly to being out of water. Each shot leaving a painful burn mark as it roared in anger trying desperately to reach its prey, unable to go against its attack orders until a good place headshot dropped it dead.

Seeing the Aqueos drop, the Atlanteans pulled back inside the door and then out poured a dozen more Aqueos who charged just as recklessly.

Ghaur's eyes widened seeing the crazed, open-fanged look coming from these soulless, eyeless creatures who by all rights looked like they should be dead already, attacking them.

Seeing his elites stupidly treating them the same as any other enemy by concentrating fire at their midsections, had Ghaur yelling,- "Their Heads! Attack Their Heads You fools!"

Thankfully he brought the elites with him as they didn't hesitate to listen, putting most of them down before they had to resort to melee. That's when things went south as the vampire zombie-like attack made it very difficult to fight back as they threw themselves onto their weapons just to get an attack of their own in or a well-placed bite.

Not liking the way things were going, Ghaur called out to one of the elite members nearby,- "You there, what's your name?" He asked.

Hearing his lord priest call out to him, he quickly turned, snapping to attention,- "Names Spike my lord."

Ghaur's angry scrunched up face beckoned him over,- "Come here and kneel, I have need of you."

Spike obeyed without question as he kneeled before Ghaur who placed his hand on his head.

Concentrating, Ghaur used his hidden power which could alter the malleable genetic structure of any Deviant, giving them new shapes, or killing any Deviant by creating a lethal mutation. A powerful ability that was heavily underused because of his distaste for Mutates, preferring to only use in case of emergencies to preserve his own life. Thankfully it also had the benefit of giving him complete mind control over those he used it on otherwise he would never use it, that way he could order their deaths without problem when he was done with them.

Some would wonder why he didn't use it on the king and control him like a puppet, but that goes back to his hate for mutates, he would never allow a mutate to sit on the throne even if it was one he controlled. This hardwired mindset has crippled the potential of his power for him and his people if one were to think about the many wars and battles that could have been won had he been willing to use it more.

Under his hand, Spike's strength increased, growing into an orange furred monster with a tail as his size doubled, tearing his clothes and gear off.

Pleased with the results, Ghuar ordered,- "Attack!"

Spike let out a ferocious roar before rushing to the front lines, ripping apart bodies with his claws as he cleared the battlefield while dodging the occasional blaster shot from the Atlanteans.

Noticing the Aqueos not faring well, the Atlanteans once again backed away into the doorway as Spike fearlessly charged them, but upon reaching the doorway a flood of water came pouring out washing away both the Atlanteans and Spike.

Ghaur shouted,- "Seal it off before this whole place fills with water!"

A couple of Elites pushed through the rushing tide as they hit the emergency lockdown button, entering a code to lock it, causing a metal wall to slam shut, blocking the pathway up, and cutting the flow of water.

Ghaur scowled,- "Damn them, we can only hope others are preventing similar disasters, otherwise, we'll all be drowning, we've wasted enough time. The king will be headed to the backup control room, that's where we'll need to go, Let's Move!" He yelled taking the lead, not worrying about the enemies that were washed away or his newly created monster.
