Chapter 2

The big looming beast growled a low deep grumble and sauntered towards my aunt.

"Why aren't you working Agatha? I told you that if we don't get enough costumers than I'd have to fire you."

The beasts voice was surprisingly like honey, sweet and gentle. Arya looked up at the beast and smiled tentatively.

Then she looked at my aunt and smiled shyly, "I'm sorry I tried to avoid your stall but I really wanted to see you before I had to leave for the giving."

My aunts boss, the beast, smiled warmly at me and then slumbered away.

My aunt looked at me, "Arya you know that if my boss wasn't in a good mood I might not have been payed for months."

Arya knew very well what could've happened but she also knew that everyone, beast and human, was excited for the giving.

Arya however, did not want to go. The giving was a sexist way to make the young men in halewood happy.

The women were always excited for it because it meant there was a chance that they could live happily ever after for the rest of their lives.

But Arya knew that there was also a chance that they would have to live in starvation and worry for the rest of their lives too.
