Lan Yu Yu was the favorite concubine born daughter of the prime minister. She was suppose to grow up in the comfort and riches of a noble lady but due to the claims of a passing priest "your daughter is born under an ominous sign" she was discarded and abandoned in a remote village at the edge of the battlefield.
