Prologue

A young woman was standing at the edge of the cliff. She stared at the man before her with hatred. "How can you do this to me? We've been together for seven years! Now you even want to kill me for some rich woman! Are you always this evil?!" Tears were forming in her eyes.

This man standing before her, was none other than her fiance whom she loved so much. They grew up together in an orphanage and he was everything for her. He was always so good to her but he changed since he met that wealthy heiress. Even this time, she was practically dragged to this place.

The man smirked and stared at her with a dreadful eyes. "You should just leave when I asked you to break up nicely. After many years, I finally have a chance to soar up high in the sky and spread my wings. I won't let anyone destroy it. Even if that person is you!" He yelled as he pushed her.

The woman fell down the cliff and her vision became blur. Suddenly it was dark everywhere and nothing can be seen...

Hazel Lim slowly opened her eyes. It was the same old nightmare that haunted her every sleep. It would be a lot better if that was just a dream! But it was real! It was her real life story.

Six years had passed since that tragic incident happened to her. But she never forget even for a single second. It haunted her and broke her every single day!

That despicable man! She sacrificed her all for him. She worked so hard to help him enter a prestigious university. She even stopped studying after she graduated from college to support him. Though she too had a dream job, she prioritize him over herself and sacrificed her dream for him.

Then he finally finished his studies and landed a good job at KL Group, one of the most powerful corporations in the country. But he developed a disgusting relationship with the only daughter of the Chairman of KL Group. Then he even attempted to kill her to marry that woman.

She cannot believe that she fell in love with that evil and heartless monster. She was too naive that she trusted him with all her heart. He was such a trash.

Now he lived happily with that wealthy heiress as if he never committed any crime. He started a family with her and became the Vice Chairman of KL Group. His successful life and career made her hated him even more. She hate to see his disgusting smile on the news! She really wanted to send him to hell! He need to pay for his sins.

Hazel Lim always keeps on recalling her past whenever she was that incident in her dream and she hate it. 'Be calm. You're not Annie Han anymore. Now you are Hazel Lim, the daughter of Haze Group.' She told herself again and again. While she was busy trying to calm down herself, her phone went off and it startled her a bit.

She looked at the caller ID and a small smile was forming in her lips. The name calmed her immediately and she picked up the call. "Hi! Dad." She exclaimed.

"Did I wake you up, Hazel? Did you have a good sleep?" The man on the other line asked her with a worry voice.

Her familiar nightmare came to her mind but she didn't want to add her father worries. He was too precious to be treated like that. "I have a good sleep, Dad. I already wake up minutes ago."

The man sighed. "Did you still remember your promise? You said that you will be having dinner with us for you will be returning to Korea tomorrow morning."

"Yes, Dad. Don't worry. I never forget my promise to you, whatever it is. I'll be there soon. I want to spend the whole day at home." She said and ended the call as she get up from her bed.

The man was Richard Lim, the founder and Chairman of Haze Group, a global corporation which has its headquarters at London. It was also the place where Hazel was currently living with her new family.

Richard Lim was her adoptive father, the most important person in her life, the one who saved her life and build her into who she was now.

Hazel Lim sit in front of the large mirror in her room. She carefully stared at the reflection of herself in the mirror. Though she had already lived with this face for six years, she still finds it strange for many times. Even with her original face, people said that she was really beautiful. But this face is for sure at another level.

The original owner of her current face was the late daughter of Richard Lim. She was also the true owner of her current name, Hazel Lim. She passed away six years ago, without anyone knowing about it other than the Lim's. So, for the whole world, she was the true Hazel Lim, the daughter of Haze Group, one of the world's leading corporations.

Hazel was scheduled to returned to her original homeland, Korea, the next day. But it will be different this time. She was not that naive and average woman anymore. Now she's the gorgeous and powerful daughter of Haze Group, whom men's fancied and women's envied. In terms of work, she's known as ruthless and cold hearted. She was feared by her rivals due to her intelligence and unpredictable decisions. If there were anyone who could see her soft side, it would be only her new family - the Lim's.

Being the younger child of Richard Lim, many men had their eyes set on her. But her past traumatic experience changed her view on relationships completely. She didn't trust anyone. She believed that true love did not exist. Of course, the love her adoptive father gave her was an exception. It was a father-daughter love which she never got to experience while she was the naive Annie Han. For her, throughout this whole world, only two people matters to her - her father, Richard Lim and her older brother, Marcus Lim. They were the only one in this world whom she could call as her family.

She dressed up in a casual dress which she was comfortable with and drove to the main mansion of the Lim family.....
