Just You Wait!

KL Group

It was Monday morning. Xander Yang reached his office earlier than usual. He used the whole weekend trying to come up with a perfect proposal to offer to the new CEO of Haze Group.

His personal secretary, Kevin Park came inside the office and handed him an envelope. "This is all the details I could gather about the new CEO of Haze Group."

Xander Yang opened the envelope and read the contents, while his secretary explains the details to him.

"She's Hazel Lim, the only daughter of Haze Group. She's 27 years old. She finished her MBA from Oxford University. And sir, it seems that she is greatly cherished by Chairman Lim and the Vice Chairman. The name of their group 'Haze' was also taken from her name." Secretary Park explained.

Xander Yang scrolled through the envelope in no time. "She only entered the business circle 3 years ago; but she already accomplished so much. She wil be quite a challenge." He opined.

"Sir, rumor has it that she's more than difficult to please. Not many has the ability to work with her." The secretary nervously reported to Xander.

"No matter how powerful Haze Group is; we have more influence than them in this country. She won't be able to turn down our offer." Xander said with confidence.

"Contact Haze Group CEO's office and tell them that Xander Yang, the Vice Chairman and CEO of KL Group want to have a meeting with the new CEO." Xander Yang proudly ordered his secretary.

Haze Group

Hazel Lim went to work after she bid goodbye to her brother, who went back to London just a moment ago. But she is sure that the goodbye won't last long. He will come to visit her again very soon because he will over worry about her again.

As soon as she entered her office, her secretary, Cora Min followed her.

"I just received a call from KL Group. Vice Chairman Yang want to have a meeting with you." The secretary reported to her.

"I only started working today. What's the need to rush things?" A sly smile escaped Hazel's lips. "Tell them. My arrival will be made official only after a week. I won't accept any meetings until then."

"Yes, ma'am." Secretary Min responded. She bowed and return to her bench.

"He's quicker than I thought" Hazel said to herself. "Just you wait, Xander Yang! I waited for this moment for 6 long years. Waiting me for only a week won't drive you mad. Isn't it?" She said with a malicious smile.

Hazel entered her office after having endless meetings with the executives for the whole day. She glanced at her watch and realize that it was already 8 p.m.

She conducted a meeting and personally hear out the reports of each departments from all the executives in charge. All the executives has to bear with her till late at night on her first day! How poor of them!

Hazel abruptly sat on her chair. She was fully concentrated in the meeting for the whole day and it drained all her energy. She rest her head on the back of her chair and closed her eyes for a while. She used to relax by doing this.

While she was working, she always focus completely on her work and never realized that it was already very late; so she often ends up working overtime. Maybe that's why people called her a workaholic.

She stand up after relaxing for a while. She approach the window and stared out of it. She was surprised at the amazing night view! Her office surely has the most amazing view of the city.

She enjoyed the breathtaking view for a while. Then suddenly, the shameless man she met came to her mind. Tomorrow is the last day for their deal. It would really be a miracle if he succeed. To be honest, his confidence was quite amazing!

While she was relaxing as she enjoyed the mesmerizing view of Gangnam, her phone went off.

"Hello." Hazel picked up the call.

"Where are you, Haze? My men told me that you still haven't return to home. Are you okay?" Marcus gentle voice can he heard on the phone. He seemed to be a bit anxious but he never raised his voice to his sister.

For many grown up women, having an overprotective brother who watched all their moves will be very bothersome. But for Hazel, it was the complete opposite.

Having an overprotective brother like Marcus was her greatest pride! It was all thanks to him that she was able to live with ease. She knew very well that if anything ever happens to her; her brother will look out for her and protect her. She gained much confidence from him.

"I'm at my office. I'm alright, Mark." Hazel calmly replied. "What time is it there? Where are you?" She asked.

"It's 11 a.m. I'm at my office. It's already late there. You should go home. Besides didn't I tell you to let my men follow you wherever you go? How come you're so stubborn?!" The brother scolded his sister. But still his voice remained low and calm.

Hazel chuckled at her brother's words. "I picked up these traits from you." She teased him.

"Fine. Whatever. Just go home for now, okay?" Marcus pleaded her in a gentle voice.

"Okay. I'll call you later." Hazel ended the call.

She put on her blazer, took her handbag and immediately leave her office. Or else her brother will be really angry at her!

Aiden went back and forth in his room again and again. Even after thinking for the whole day, he was still unable to find out anything about Hazel. Even his best friend, Lucas, who have many female friends didn't know nothing about him.

He even contacted his friend in London hoping he could help him out; but it was useless. Of course his friend will surely know the name 'Hazel Lim.' But his friend has no idea that the Hazel Lim he was talking about, was the famous Hazel Lim from London. Aiden must bound to be unlucky!

But he still has one day left. He won't give up on her until there is no second left!....
