The first death.

A little green skinned soldier girl was happily scouting the base's surroundings, walking through the tall grass and between the trees in search of anything worth taking notice.

As she had been born a few hours ago the whole world felt fresh and exciting, and she was having the best time of her life exploring the unknown jungle and looking at the different and colorful flowers and the little animals that appeared and run away twice as fast as she tried to approach them.

Since she was an artificial life, a kind of organic drone, there was already plenty of information stored in her brain from the moment she was born to make it easier for her to fulfill her duty. But even with all that information, reading about something and seeing it in real life are completely different kinds of experience, making her surprised and fascinated by all the life around her. And it was exactly that mindset and curiosity the main culprits for the events that followed.

It had been over an hour since the start and, thanks to her direct connection to the HQ, she had miraculously NOT got lost in the jungle and was actually making progress in creating a detailed map of the surroundings.

After walking for another fifteen or so minutes, she reached a beautiful flower field and got completely lost amid so many flowers. Then she remembered some questionably useless info about how to make a flower crown and decided to make one for herself.

Taking a bunch of different flowers in her hands, she slowly started to weave them into a crown. Pick a flower, spin it around the others tying them together, pick another, do it again, and another, one more time... Soon a complete flower crown was weaved and as she completed it, she rised it above her head, positioning it right in the Sun's direction, giving the impression that the Sun was wearing the flower crown.

Unfortunately her happiness was short lived, as she heard a pig's noise and a fast trot of something approaching, a supersized boar jumped over her, snapping the flower crown from her hand and eating it.

"My flowers crown!!!!"

Not satisfied, the boar looked at her and started preparing to charge again.

"Oh no!"

In that instant she requested the HQ for fighting techniques and a dozen different fight styles appeared in her head, telling her how to fight back enemies with different weapons, in different situations, but all those were useless because of a fundamental problem with all of them... all of them required weapons!

With no weapon in hand, all options left were different dodging techniques that soon proved to be quite effective. First our little soldier jumped right, dodging the straight charge from the boar, then it started attacking relentlessly and she was still able to dodge right, left, rolling and jumping around.

As she dodged the boar, the soldier girl didn't just passively dodge, she also tried countering a few times using her hands and legs, but the thick boar's fur and her lack of technique ended up reducing her damage to zero. After that she tried using anything she could grab her hands as weapons, from sticks to stones, but none was proven effective as well. In a desperate attempt, she grabbed a handful of sand and threw it on the boar's eyes to blind it, but even that only served to make the boar angrier as its eyes got red and its cries got louder.

The little girl proceeded in a random direction, dodging along the trees while looking for a way out of this mess when she soon found herself at the mountain's foot. Looking around, she saw a dark cave a few steps away and an sudden idea flashed through her head, to use the darkness to lose the boar.

After dodging one last time, making the boar face the opposite direction, soldier girl ran as fast as she could, using every little second she had to reach the cave. As she entered the cave, she didn't stop even while blind from the sudden lighting change. She put her hands forward trying to feel the cave's walls and kept running as her eyes slowly adapted to the change. Behind her, a fast trot and pig sound could be heard echoing through the cave.

(The pig is coming! The pig is coming! What do I do!?)

Only then she noticed her contact with HQ had been cut off, making her panic even further.

She was scared, doubting this was a really good idea, unable to decide if it was time to dodge to the side or not, hearing the approaching boar getting closer and closer, until her feet got catch in a rock, making her fall down to the ground and hit her head.

...

An unknown amount of time later, the girl woke up hearing steps slowly approaching. Everything around her was dark, breathing was suffocating and there was something really really heavy over her body.

She tried moving but not only her body was full of bruises and cuts making moving painful, she was barely able to shake whatever the thing that was on top of her.

She took a deep breath and tried again, whatever was approaching would reach there soon and she had to run away, but unfortunately she was still unable to get out.

They say the third is a charm, so she gathered her strength again and prepared herself, the steps were already dangerously close and would be there anytime now.

"Grrr!!!!!"

Using every little bit of strength she could gather, she lifted the heavy weight from her back just a little before a scream from the other side came about so suddenly that made all her hard work go down the drain again.

...

Some time later, at the limit of the castle's area, two little girls were carrying a giant boar twice their height and at least 10 times their mass toward the castle. It was an incredible sight that made people believe they were seeing it wrong and not understand how so much strength could be hidden inside those little frail looking bodies.

Apollo, in front of his "palace", was completely stunned as he watched the two girls slowly approaching them with the giant boar over their heads. Finally as they got closer, he finally woke up and started noticing the sights of fatigue and their trembling legs, so Apollo stopped wasting time and ordered the other girls to help out.

A few minutes later, inside the kitchen, a maid, a farmer and a researcher were battling against the boar corpse to salvage whatever parts they could. The blood had still not been drained and the meat would soon go bad if no measure was taken. Meanwhile in the living room, Apollo sat straight in a chair facing the dead beat girls in the sofa waiting for an explanation.

"So, what happened?"

"It was like this, I was in the field of flowers, making a flower crown, when that huge pig appeared and bit it off my hands..."

"I sent you to draw a map, why were you making flower crowns in a flower field?"

"That's...well...because they are beautiful!"

(Oh God... Will I be able to survive relying on such air head?)
