Survivor Base

A zombie suddenly popped out of nowhere when she was going home and she shredded it into pieces with her aura.

The city has become isolated one month after the zombies appeared.

A group of wanderers were scavenging for food.

The survivors were classified into six grades based on their strength, A,B,C,D,E, and F.

A new energy was introduced after the apocalypse and survivors could refine this energy to improve their strength.

A grade survivors could not even force out 0.01% of her strength.

The group of wanderers were F-grade survivors meaning they could barely survive a few zombies but not a pack.

These survivors were already very fortunate because, most people did not have the talent to refine the new energy introduced and only one in 100,000 had the talent for it, ordinary people could only rely on these survivors and they would do anything to survive.

The people who could make it to the next level which was a E-grade survivor were even rarer because danger was in every corner of this apocalypse and only one in a million could make it.

All technological equipment was broken when this new energy was introduced so this group of survivors could only rely on cold weapons to fight, of course Liu Bai imbued his electromagnetic rifle with a tinge of his aura to shield it from the influence of this new energy.

Liu Bai did not need this electromagnetic rifle but he got it just for the fun of it.

The group of wanderers consisted of three men, one of which appeared to be the leader.

He directed his men with hand signs to silently move forward on the street and methodically search every building for any sign of food.

The men after searching for nearly the entire day finally found a can of beef which contained five thick slices.

Zhao Enlai, the leader of the men sighed and said "This can of beef is enough to cause a hundred man war with other "survivors", with the severe shortage of food supplies these days." Dong Qiu, another one of the men said "At least, we have made a profit on this trip."

"You're right." said the last of the men.

"Alright, men let's move out and head on home." Zhao Enlai said.

The men headed toward a direction of the Huaxia capital encased in thick steel walls.

The walls were built with the blood of many men.

In an obscured corner of the street a silhouette slowly manifested.

It was Liu Bai listening in on their conversation.

"I can't believe the food situation is already this bad, luckily I don't need food for energy."

Liu Bai could freely control the strength of his body so he set it at A-grade survivor level to get used to his new body so he could feel some fatigue after playing with his electromagnetic gun for a whole day.

Liu Bai yawned and accidentally let out a cute voice.

"I still can't get used to the sound of my voice."

In the base, there were many tents sprawled on the floor, but the number of tents were less than the number of people directly sleeping on the floor.

Only, the survivors with a survivor certificate that ranked them were allowed to live in houses or indoors.

There were about a 100 million people that lived in the capital, and only about a thousand people were ranked survivors.

The area secured from the zombies were just about enough for the ranked survivors to live indoors, the rest of the people could only live in tents or sleep out in the open.

After the Apocalypse began, 90% of the people were inexplicably turned into zombies, the military and civilian forces suffered immensely.

The only weapons that worked in the apocalypse were cold weapons, firearms, and bombs malfunctioned.

The military after serious setbacks finally managed to set up a survivor base in the capital and all the other areas were lost to the zombies.

It was the final beacon of hope for humanity in Huaxia.

Although, the military suffered heavy losses they still retained a small amount of influence.

The leaders of the military and the top ten of the ranked survivors could live in the core district of the survivor base in villas, and the food they ate could be considered extremely common before the apocalypse, but now they were immensely valuable.

100 survivors were E-ranked, 10 survivors were D-ranked, and only one survivor in the base was C-ranked. Liu Bai entered into the base through an iron-tight entrance, but before she entered she placed the electromagnetic rifle into her white dragon mark and replaced them with two daggers hung on her waist. After an inspection, she sauntered into the base.

All who encountered her made way for her and if not they were pushed by her aura.

Occasionally new survivors who just made it here to Huaxia base wondered why they all made way for her.

Although officially there was only one survivor base, there were actually small, medium, and large sized survivor camps in Huaxia, and the really distinguished camps would establish their own small base. Occasionally there were some old-timers who took pity on the newcomers and told them that she was the bloody reaper whom chopped of heads because of a slight dispute.

This time there was another idiotic newcomer.

"Who is she, why do we have to make way for her!"

"Idiot, watch what you say, if not you would not know how you died."

"I don't believe a girl can be so power...."

There was nothing more only blood spurting out of his neck on the other man's face.

His head was nowhere to be seen.
