CHAPTER 45 JOURNEY

The bandit leader uses his broadsword to block Shadow's attack.

*Ping* When their sword collided, it produced a bright spark, and the bandit leader was blown off by Shadow's slash (Shadow used the Advanced Wind Dash, making his attack very powerful).

Before the bandit leader stops, Shadow immediately casts [Flame Blast] straight at the bandit leader.

While the other bandits situation was also not good when Shadow's [Chaotic Fox Hellfire] hit them, some of the bandits got away, but all of them had varying injuries, and some of them had their bodies set ablaze.

The elves retaliated and started to attack the bandits.

The bandit leader let out a battle cry and used a defensive skill [stone skin]. His body had been coated by stones, and he then covered his face using both arms.

*Bam* the [Flame Blast] hit the bandit leader; it produced a huge explosion. The bandit leader's defensive skill was broken, leaving him very injured. His body was burned and cracked.

Shadow then dashed towards the bandit leader again (he was still using the Advanced Wind Dash; this move had already been mastered by him).

The bandit leader saw Shadow's relentless pursuit of him and knew he would probably die. He couldn't escape because the enemy's speed was too fast, so he decided to risk it all. He raised his broadsword and also charged towards Shadow.

Shadow looks at the bandit leader with admiration. This person did not beg for mercy or flee for his life but used his remaining strength and energy to face off against his enemy one last time.

Shadow then uses his sword skill as a sign of respect. 'Asura's Wrath, first move, Heaven Destroying Slash'

Shadow and the bandit leader attacked; they had walked past each other. suddenly a line crosses the bandit leader's neck, his entire body then slumps into the ground.

Shadow then sheathed Killer again, looking at the bandit leader one last time.

While Shadow had already finished his fight, the fight between the elves and the bandits was just getting heated. Many bandits were killed, as were some elves.

Shadow joined the fight by casting [Chaotic Fox Hellfire] towards the stronger bandits. The bandits expression changed, and they started to protect one of the bandits, letting him escape.

Shadow looked amused and started chasing the fleeing bandit. The other bandits started throwing themselves at him, slashing him.

Shadow easily dodged the attacks and caught up with the fleeing bandit. He smacked the back of the head of the bandit, making him fall.

Shadow then returned to where the elves were out. If there were 50 bandits, the captured ones only amounted to 8.

One of the female elves came forward, Shadow, and bowed to him. "Thank you, strong warrior, for saving me and my men. Can you honour us by telling us your name?"

"My name is Shadow, the gang leader of the Conqueror Gang. If you need help again, you can request a mission for us."

The elf lady seems surprised to find that Shadow was a mercenary. Her expression was very complicated, for her mercenary was a boorish type of person. They don't know any etiquette can be this strong.

"May I know which territory hailed the conqueror gang?"

"Both Dragon City and Sunshine City have a conqueror gang; our main headquarters are in Dragon City."

The elf nodded and gave Shadow something that looked like a drop of water. When Shadow scanned it, his expression changed and he looked at the elf solemnly.

The elf just smiled, then left, leaving Shadow looking at them seriously. The drop of water was one of the famous products of the elves, the water of life.

Shadow looks at the caravan one last time and continues his journey towards Sunshine City. When he left, the elf lady who talked to him bowed towards the caravan. It seems like someone nodded and let her in, then proceeded to tell him information about Shadow.

"So how was he?" an elf child with wings asks the elf lady.

"Milady, that human is very strong and at least better than other humans."

"If my sister and him fight, who do you think will win?"

"Milady, if I am to be honest, that person might be stronger than Lady Daisy."

The little elf girl let out an amusing smile. "When we returned to the city, tell my sister and mother about what happened, and also tell them about this shadow person."

Shadow was travelling from village to village, making connections and acquaintances. He also recruited some decent people and adopted some orphans with great potential. When he arrived in Sunshine City a month later, Shadow looked at the city gate, thinking that it had been a long time since he'd returned here.

"Master, we arrive at Sunshine City." A muscular kid came next to Shadow.

Shadow smiled and rubbed the kid's head. This is one of the dozen orphans he adopted. He brought 30 people with him on his travels, even though the strongest one of them was only D-Rank strength at most, but they are all decent.

"Okay, everyone, let's go to the Mercenary Guild and sign you all up to be mercenaries and join our gang."

All of the youth nodded and were very excited, while the experienced hunter calmly nodded.

Shadow and the others directly go to the Mercenary Guild and sign up to become mercenaries. They don't need to be put to the test with Shadow recruiting them to his gang; the gang only needs to have a successful mission that corresponds with the number of members and show them to the guild.

Shadow then brought them to the branch headquarters of the conqueror gang and had them become accustomed to city life and being mercenaries.

Shadow then brought the dozen orphans with him and teleported them to Eligan Town and made them swear loyalty to the town. After the loyalty ceremony, he taught them the Spiritual Energy Assimilation Technique, the Beast Guiding Technique, and the early stage of the Dragon Body Technique. He then brought the muscular kid with him and made him a Lou Yan apprentice while some kids found the right profession for them.

When Shadow teleported back to Sunshine City, he only brought back three orphans with him; the others stayed in Eligan Town to further develop their expertise.
