CHAPTER 86 GORGIAN FAMILY

He then started to explore the city to search for a suitable spot for the buildings.

After searching for a couple of hours, he found that nearly all the good spots were owned by the nobles in the city, and he had no chance to buy them.

Shadow gave a helpless sigh. He never thought that, unlike in the cities that he has travelled in, this had never happened.

He then decided to take over one of the greater nobilities.

He then decided to collect some information in the bar.

After listening for a couple of minutes, he finally heard some interesting things.

"Hey, did you hear about the fight between the Gorgian family and the Gethiod family?"

"Yeah, I heard that the Gorgian family refused the marriage proposal of the Gethiod family."

"The Gorgian Family is asking for death even though both of them are noble families, but the Gethiod Family has already been here a long time; they even had three ascendants."

Hearing this, Shadow got more curious, blocked all the other noises, and started focusing on the conversation.

"Well, I could not blame them, though the fat bastard of the Gethiod family really is a scum. That pig already had seven mistresses, and all of them are beautiful. If I had the strength, I would kill that fat pig and his father."

"Quiet idiot, do you really think that no one can hear what you are saying? If somebody told what you said to the Gethiod family, you and your family would certainly be killed."

*Sigh* "The great nobles have become restless recently, and they have become even more arrogant and unreserved."

Suddenly the conversation became whispers, making Shadow even more interested, so he started to cover his ears with origin energy to clearly hear what they were talking about.

"Actually, the great nobles started to get more rampant because it was said that there was a great war that happened in the Cringe Kingdom."

"Ain't that the kingdom that was supporting this city? Why would it be connected with the great nobles getting more arrogant and rampant?"

"I heard from my elder brother, who is one of the generals, that the ascendants of the Cringe family were killed in the war, leaving only some of them, making the power balance disarray."

"So the great nobles are staging a coup."

"They might be."

Shadow let out a smile. He achieved the information he wanted. He then left the bar and started asking the pedestrians about the Gorgian family estate.

He then got his answers and directly went there. When he arrived at the gate, he found that the soldiers guarding the gate seemed tense.

He decided to ask one of the soldiers what happened. "Excuse me, sir, can I ask what is happening inside?"

The soldier was at first startled, but seeing that he did not recognise Shadow, he thought it was just one of the gossipy civilians.

He then answered solemnly, "You should not ask questions that are beyond you."

Hearing this, Shadow just smiled and started to release his formidable aura, causing the guards to sweat in nervousness.

Shadow then showed a harmless smile and explained, "I am indebted to the Gorgian family. After hearing that they are in trouble, I wish to help them, so may you kindly let me enter?"

The guards hesitated, but Shadow's aura was just overwhelming to them, so they looked at each other and finally came to a decision and opened the gate.

Shadow then smiled and nodded to them before striding inside.

He then arrived at the mansion's entrance. Some of the guards inside actually tried to stop him, but with the amount of pressure coming off him, they decided to let him in.

He saw that there were enough decent guards guarding the door.

At first, the two guards tensed up, feeling his aura, but seeing him emit no hostility, they calmed down.

One of the guards steps forward and asks, "Esteemed Lord, may we know what you seek in the Gorgian Estate?"

Shadow smiled and spoke, "Call your lord. I have a very great proposition for him. Don't worry, I'll wait here."

Hearing this, the silent guard nodded at the guard that stepped forward before entering.

A couple of minutes later, the sound of footsteps was heard, and the guard who had entered earlier came out together with a dashing middle-aged man.

The dashing middle-aged man looked at Shadow and felt the pressure emanating from him.

He then courteously bowed to Shadow and spoke with respect, "May I ask what the esteemed lord wants from me?"

Shadow gestured to him that it was sensitive stuff.

The dashing middle-aged man understood the gesture. After pondering for a bit, he decided to let him enter after all the aura that Shadow exhibited was just powerful, just like those ascendants.

They then went directly to the study room of the manor lord.

After scanning the room and finding nothing suspicious he then went directly to the topic: "I want your family to submit to me, and I can kill the head of the Gethiod family as well as his son."

The dashing middle-aged man was startled and then started scrutinising Shadow carefully.

He then asks, "What do you mean submit to you? Don't you know that Crige City has a great foundation and has a connection to the higher realm?"

Shadow just smiled and started speaking again. "Actually, I am a king. I have a kingdom in the higher realm."

Hearing this, the dashing middle-aged man blanked out and then shook his head and said, "It is not possible that you are a king. Those who created a kingdom cannot return to the lower realm. They could give something to the lower realm or even send their spiritual clones, but they could never come here physically."

Shadow smiled and started to explain, "Actually, my kingdom owns three worlds, so it can now be regarded as a huge kingdom, but actually, I have the strength and ability to nearly rank up as a saint lord."
