"What do you mean by that, my queen?" asks one of the foxes. This one is not wearing clothes that are seductive but more like armour.
Queen Marleigh narrows her eyes towards the direction of the centaurs' territory, and she explains her opinion towards this attack.
"Our kingdom is considered the weakest of the five beast kingdoms; we might be stronger than the Goblin and Harpy Kingdom, but it is undeniable that our soldiers are not as linked as the other kingdom." The people present nod their heads.
This is one of their weaknesses; most of their soldiers are actually from other races that they have successfully charmed with their innate abilities.
This is not a great way to build a powerful army; even though the soldiers are willing to die for the kingdom, they are incapable of growing stronger in their natural speed because of their broken spirit.
Eligan Kingdom also consists of different races, but all of them have their own independent will. This should be detrimental because of differing opinions and cultures, but the kingdom successfully created a powerful army even with such a disadvantage.
This is the reason why the Fox Kingdom is so fixated on the Eligan Kingdom; they wanted to obtain the method to train loyal soldiers for their kingdom.
"We offset our weakness with traps and formations; we had spent millions of our resources to create a very powerful defence. The centaurs might be arrogant, but they are not stupid enough to ignore such a fact." She ended her speculation with this.
"So, the Centaurs are using this invasion as a diversion to attack the Falcon Kingdom; why is that? If I were given a choice, I would rather attack those brutes from the Tiger Kingdom," states one of them.
Queen Marleigh sighs as she hears this; she cannot help but feel disappointed by her conjecture. She then explains, "The Falcon Kingdom is considered one of the most versatile powers; other than us and the Eligan Kingdom, they might not be as intelligent as our allies, but they have a powerful flying unit."
The one who had spoken earlier nods his head. That is why he feels that the Tiger Kingdom is an easier target than the Falcon Kingdom.
"This might be useful fighting against many races, but not the centaurs. We have been fighting their heavy cavalry unit all of this time, but they are actually known more for their light cavalry unit; their ability to shoot arrows is even superior to that of the harpies, and their eyesight is comparable to that of the falcons."
"For the Falcon Kingdom, they are the worst matchup; like fire and water, they are totally at a disadvantage."
This made all the high-ranking foxes think that it seems that in the eyes of the centaurs, the weakest power is actually the Falcon Kingdom and not them.
They feel complicated; should they be happy that their enemies are not underestimating them as much as they thought or feel bad that one of their allies is useless against them?"
"I hope that I am wrong; if not, then we will suffer from this. The centaurs have been using us to build their experience; that is why they have been sending mostly heavy cavalry units, but it seems that they have decided to go all out." She sighs as she says this.
She feels helpless, and she knows that her kingdom will definitely be swallowed if their alliance falls. The centaurs might not be as lustful as their other counterparts, but it is undeniable that they are as lustful as the goblins.
With their race's natural beauty and seductive bodies, she knows that the future will not bode well for them if they ever lose this battle.
Suddenly, one of their messengers enters the room; she kneels and announces, "The human army has arrived; their king wishes to speak to her majesty."
The foxes were surprised; they did not expect him to arrive so fast; they expected that it would be the troops from the Tiger Kingdom that would arrive first. The two of them have the closest distance compared to the other territories.
Queen Marleigh stands up and fixes herself; she knows that it is rude not to accept the request of their ally, especially since it is their very own king who went to help them fight.
The other foxes follow her; they are curious about the king of the human kingdom; they had never seen him before in person; they had seen his appearance through painting; he is admired and feared by his subject.
His legend is resounding, and this causes every kingdom nearby to be curious about him. The Eligan Kingdom is sitting in a very special position in their alliance, and their treasures are incredibly precious for the entire alliance. If it were not for the fact that they have the strength to back their resources, maybe all the kingdoms would have attacked them already.
Queen Marleigh and the rest of the high-ranking foxes freeze when they see Shadow; their instinct as beasts is telling them to either run away or kneel in worship.
Shadow does not realise it himself that he is exuding a noble aura; it comes from both his status as a king and the guardian beast living inside of him.
He smiled in a respectful manner, trying to appear as friendly as he could be, not knowing that his allies were now looking at him as if he were a monster.
The entirety of the Fox Kingdom shakes, power swells into Queen Marleigh's body, and she coughs in a graceful manner, secretly releasing a powerful spiritual sense to snap her subordinates out of their daze.
Shadow senses this and frowns. He is confused; he is still ignorant about his own aura, ignoring that small action of hers. He steps forward, trying to get a handshake.
Suddenly, the high-ranking foxes take a step backwards, and they all release their aura, clearly prepared to fight.
Without hesitation, the soldiers behind Shadow release their might; whoever dares to attack their king will suffer from their wrath.
The soldiers from the Fox Kingdom were caught unprepared, but they still reacted quickly. They gripped their weapons and prepared themselves to engage.
The tension between two allied forces becomes high; it is as if they are going to war against each other, and neither side is backing down.
Meanwhile, in Shadow's mind, he is inwardly screaming, 'What the f*ck is happening?! '
