Chapter 49: A noble conclusion!!!

Everyone inside the room could only stare in disbelief at what Rina Mayfield is currently doing at this very moment...

He shamelessly kneels down…

In a Japanese seiza posture that defines the ultimate stance of apology, where one truly feels the purest form of sorry to the ones that he or she has the displeasure of offending.

Of course, Rin was not feeling any of that. It was all merely an act to instigate something in the pair of father and daughter noble.

"I sincerely apologize for the unacceptable humiliation that I have caused unto you Ms. Erica Von'laden…" Rin stated 'apologetically', Erica trying to process what is still happening. "And also to you sir Von'laden since she is your daughter. I'm ready to make amends and try my best to improve our relationship for the coming days to come."

Pu!!!

Edmund's shock has gone beyond levels imaginable, being caught off guard by the sudden change of nature that this blue-haired girl has been demonstrating.

He would be fine and delighted if this girl is the acclaimed commoner that her daughter was insisting on earlier. After all, commoners are beneath their feet, so it would be expected.

But this…

This changes things!!!

A noble bowing down in an extremely exaggerated manner is unacceptable!! Especially if such is related to the great doctor himself!!

Edmund in panic frantically ordered Rin to stand up. "What are you doing young lady?!! It's not befitting for a young noble like you to do such inferior act like this!!"

Even Erica understood what her father meant, feeling perplexed but having mixed feelings by why the boy is doing such an act!!

On one hand, Erica was kind of happy in the inside at seeing her nemesis bowing down like a pathetic dog but on the other hand, she kind of is confuse since now revealed to be actually an esteemed noble, Erica could only marvel as to why Rina Mayfield assumes a posture that is very beneath their oh so glorious status.

If the Doctor found out that his oh so precious granddaughter is acting inferiorly in front of them, then they themselves will be in deep waters with the Mayfields!!

And he sure as well now wants to avoid that!!

"What's the matter Von'laden?" Rin acting all dumbfounded, eyed the man. "Why do you look so astonished. I thought that this is what you wanted in the first place?

Camera on the scene, a sweat instantly drops on Edmund's face at the cunningness that this young lady has been demonstrating to them.

The whole scenario was in fact broadcasted as the video being recorded by Keana was also sent to the Newspaper club for the public to see and hear!!

Yup, he just created a martyr out of the boy.

Well played indeed.

Rin then stood up, now crossing his arms with his back firmly like an unshaken tower in the midst of harsh entities. "Even a noble can have some form of humility Sir Von'laden. To their fellow nobles and most especially to the ones that you refer to as commoners. What you call inferior, I call it kindness and respect to a fellow human being because in the end, you… us nobles are nothing without the people that have supported us in all for the glorious name of the kingdom."

Now falling to the immense pressure that this boy has been giving to them, Edmund and Erica finally back off from all of this, a fight that they will surely lose if they keep on digging on the ground.

"Fine." Edmund said but on the inside, he was definitely frustrated at how things did not go the way he has planned. "We will take our leave now as the matter is now settled."

Then he turned his attention to his daughter, a bitter look present on his face.

"Let's go Erica." Edmund stated grudgingly as the daughter, left with no other choice followed her father outside but not without Erica giving a final look of an indignant scowl on the blue-haired boy.

Now the Von'ladens are out of sight, the occupants inside are now cheering loudly at Rin winning the battle!!

"Oh my God that was freaking amazing!!!" Keana hastily approached the young boy in deep admiration. "I will never forget the looks on that bastard Edmund's face when he saw you oh acting all too humble and he just could not take it hahahaha!!!"

"Wow, you never fail to be so admirable Rina." Meiko looked at the boy in dreamy eyes.

Behind her, Kana was seen to be rather timid, a look of guilt currently present on her pretty face.

"What's wrong Kana?" Rin looked at her with concern.

"Sheesh, Kana!!" Meiko grinned cheerfully at the heiress to light her up and turned to look at Rin and explained Kana's predicament.

Rin now understanding why Kana seemed so dejected offered her a wide grin of his own. "It's not your fault Kana. You were just a kid and naturally won't remember clearly everything that has transpired. Heck, even I still have trouble remembering what I did when he was 5 and you were like what… 2 or 3? Don't wallow yourself in self-pity and cheer up like the rest of us!!"

"I… thank you Rina." Kana finally was out from her downstate as she gave the boy a friendly smile.

"Hehe, say since Lucia is your godmother…" Meiko pointed at Kana, then at Rin. "And Lucia is your cousin, so practically, you two are Godsisters!!!"

"Wait, Lucia is your Godmother?!" Rin eyed Kana in question, the latter nodding in response.

"And I wonder why that oh so 'cousin' of mine failed to mention this eh?" Rin said all this while looking at Lucia in an accusing manner, causing the blonde woman to merely chuckled sheepishly in response.

"Err… actually by that logic…" Keana spoke up. "I would say that you two are Godcousins"

"Hmm…" Kana stroked her chin in contemplation. "Godsisters sound a lot better in my book."

Then the heiress eyed at Rin as the girl gave the boy a hearty hug, catching Rin off by the unexpected gesture.

"I feel so happy right now!!" Kana felt delighted at this revelation. "I always wanted to have a sister but I guess you are the closest thing to one I suppose. Let us continue to get along well Rina!!"

"Yeah, sure. I too feel the same way Kana." Rin sure was having the time of his life, his face turning red at the hug and at the same time, feeling Kana's pair of soft assets pressing on his chest.

Observing such touching display Lucia Mayfield closed her eyes with a smile, feeling nothing but pride for her blue-haired protégé at how he handles the situation like a true boss and also at how he seemed to be doing well here at the Academy.

She felt a hand touching her shoulder as Jonathan walk closely, sharing the same expression with the blonde Agent.

"Wonderful is it?" Jonathan said as his eyes are glued at the friends laughing in front of them. "Even though if he is an agent, the boy should not be rob of this privilege of experiencing a normal lifestyle. I always thought that this Children's Initiative has robbed him of his emotions but it turns out he's been doing rather well, easily coping up with the school life and also making new friends."

"Yes." Lucia nodded. "Hard to believe that he was the emotionless child that we have graced upon years back. I'm relieved that we were able to stop the Initiative and that damn Serpent from further ruining more children's lives."

"You got that right. Heh, that boy, I believe that he is destined for great things." Jonathan said as they continue to observe the four, his thoughts furthering even more about the young blue-haired Agent.

'Things that are far greater than everyone could have possibly imagined…'

An intrigue smile graced the headmaster's handsome face.
