Chapter 73: A Deathly Interaction!!!

While the Death Sisters are making their way back to the Underworld, Mors Crimstar stared at her identical twin with a skeptical look.

"How long have you been eavesdropping?" Mors questions her bubbly counterpart with a frown.

"Long enough." Mania smirks in response with a teasing expression, walking alongside with both hands playfully on her back. "Hehe, I never would have thought you of all people, the apathetic and emotionless Assassin of the Underworld, Mors Crimstar would be having friends in the city, hahaha."

Mors acknowledges with a deep sigh, already used of Mania's foolish antics. "They are not my friends, merely acquaintances whom I have the utter displeasure of meeting today."

'Especially the hyperactive one with violet hair.' Mors added, her thoughts on one Keana Blakes as she would never forget the crazy shenanigans that the violet-haired girl has put upon her.

She may or may not have regretted not murdering her a while back.

"Hihi, if that's the case…" Mania stops on her tracks with a sly grin, causing Mors to also halt at where she stands. "Why did you give the book to her?"

"Because my foolish sister…" Mors addressed the twin much to the latter pouting at what she has been called at. "As an esteem lover of literature, I too am capable of giving the utmost respect to the ones who share the same love as I am. Deeming Keana Blakes as one of them, I allowed her to borrow my book until such time that I claim my rightful ownership of it at the upcoming festival of their school."

"Books huh." Mania snickered loudly. "You mean those smut that you read?"

"It may be smut," Mors answered as she did not even deny what her sister said but opted to reason her instead, much to her irritation. "But even smut may have the characteristic of possessing an interesting plot and story for average readers to get themselves to hook up with. I fail to comprehend at why you make this as some sort of a big deal."

Upon seeing the grimacing look that Mors is giving to her, Mania, in turn, chuckled nervously as she scratches her head in a sheepish manner, not wanting to irk her sister even further as she knows how scary she can be when mad.

"Sheesh, Mania, I was just kidding ehehehe."

Mors nodded in satisfactory ease, now that Mania won't be pushing through any further in that specific line of conversation.

But then, Mania won't be shutting up anytime soon as she suddenly remembers what Mors despicably did to her just this morning ago when the latter left the hideout and went to the city, not even having the heart and thought of inviting the former.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Mania's violet eyes widen in realization. Her head twitches in annoyance with a tick mark appearing. "A while ago this morning, you freaking left me alone in the hideout you meanie!! Is it so hard for my very own twin sister, the one who shares my very flesh and blood, to invite me in town for a sisters' hang-out!? It's our day-off after all as graciously given to us by Great Leader."

'Ah yes, that.' Mors thought annoyingly, now that Mania is eyeing at her accusingly with an infuriated pout.

"You stupid, idiotic, robotic, emotionless, stoic sister of mine!! Is it that very hard?! Is it!? Ohhh I have never felt so betrayed, leaving me alone in bed while you go out here and enjoy all by yourself!! When we get back to the hideout, I ought-"

WHACK!!!

With a quick chop on the head, we now find Mania kneeling comically on the ground as she rubs the bump on her head with eyes in comedic tears.

"Awie!!!" Mania cried in pain, courtesy of Mors' chopping hand of doom. "What the heck was that for you meanie?!!"

"As I see it, you are the only idiot one around here," Mors said, much to her complete unamusement. "I was actually about to invite you to the city, but you were so engrossed in your sleep that you even go so far as to slap roughly at my every attempt of waking you up. Knowing you, it is a challenge even for someone like me to bring your lazy backside up into consciousness. Left with no other choice, I decided to leave a note so that you may know of my whereabouts and decide on what you are going to do with the information that I provided. Just as I predicted, you indeed could not resist and opted to follow me here in the city. How cute… big sis."

"Ehehe, really?" Mania recovered from her pain as she stood up and grinned apologetically at her flaws of being a hard sleepy-head. "Yeah, I guess it's my fault. I had the perfect dream of me and Ryan being a together again as we slaughtered everyone who gets in our way, bathing the miserable fools with cold, delectable blood hehe. Then after that, we had a nice date, a dinner under the beautiful moonlight while being surrounded by the corpses of our enemies. Ahhh… I wonder when will I meet him again?"

Mors merely cringed at seeing her sister fantasizing about a certain blue-haired boy.

"Anyways…" Mania continued as she decided to open up a new topic. "Are you not even slightly curious about how my day went?"

"No." Mors instantly rejected her, not wanting to hear any kind of ridiculous nonsense spouting on her older sister's mouth.

"Oh come on!!" Mania smiled, not wanting to let go off the matter as she insisted. "I promise it'll be interesting!!"

Mors stared at Mania as the latter assumes a puppy eye look in hopes of coercing the former into convincing.

Not wanting to deal any further of Mania's absolute foolery, Mors, in the end, agrees with her sister since she definitely won't ever hear the end of it.

"Alright." Mors nodded with a passive look, deciding to play along. "Amuse me."

"Hehe, you won't believe this…" Mania grinned widely as she began telling the exciting happenings of her side. "A while ago this morning, I just signed an idol contract with Stellar Entertainment Inc., isn't it amazing?!!"

"Truly?" Mors had to admit, what Mania told her indeed pique her genuine interest, currently staring at her sister intently. "So you are going to be some kind of celebrity huh. What is Great Leader's take on this?"

"Oh, she gave me her full blessing!!" Mania answered with enthusiasm. "Of course there is a condition, but she told me not to think too much about it and enjoy myself in my rise to fame and stardom!!"

Despite feeling a bit off by how her sister Mania is going to attract a whole lot of attention from the public at this point on, Mors reassured herself that it is all probably going to be fine since it was, after all, permitted by the Great Leader herself.

And who are they to question her judgment that never failed them?

"Wait…"Mors' eyes widen in realization, perceiving the nuisance that accompanies this new revelation. 'If Mania is going to be a well-known celebrity figure, then it may spell some annoyance in my part. Being her twin, going out in the open will no doubt be a maddening chore. I suppose I should stay out of the public's eyes and make myself hidden for the time being.'

"Oh and by the way…" Mania interrupted Mors on her serious thoughts as the former smiled all too guiltily like she has done something terribly wrong. "I may have kind of accidentally spill out about having a twin sister during the interview, so… Oops?"

Now we could see the look of unadulterated terror gracing forth on the younger Crimstar as Mania could do nothing but to gulp in pure fright.

"Oops indeed, dear sister."

And the result certainly does not spell all too well for Mania Crimstar, now finding herself being pulled in the right ear rather harshly against her very will by a now very pissed Mors Crimstar.

"AHH I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please forgive me!!"

R.I.P. Mania Crimstar.
