Boa Constrictor

The moon was high up in the dark and star-filled sky of Nisia, casting a soft beam which filtered through the glass balcony door in Maxen's bedroom. It illuminated the space and outlined two silhouettes lying still on the bed, even when it was the only source of light inside.

"Mmm," Olivia mewled and stirred in her sleep, writhing on the bed to find the perfect spot for her back. It was their fifth night at The Highlands, yet she felt something amiss on Maxen's bed every single night.

What she didn't know was Maxen's eyes shot open upon hearing her suggestive sound. Soon, the duvet tented below him, his little guy in a full mask in the middle of the night. He took in a sharp breath and twisted on the bed to reach for his wristwatch on the bedside table, reading the time.

Two in the morning.
