Happy Birthday! + Important Announcement! XD

Well, hello you all!! 😁

Today is a rather important day! I have the feeling I've finally reached several important marks.

First and foremost, it's been 1 YEAR! 🎂🎂🎂 A WHOLE YEAR!, since I started to upload this novel to several online platforms, not knowing how it would work, if it would work at all, if people would like it or even want to read it.

Back then, I was searching for a platform I could call home to my insane story, since they all have very different styles and public. And I'm extremely happy that I've found this wonderful, cozy, welcoming home. You guys have all been amazing! Helping me go on with your encouraging comments, voting with your shiny power stones that allowed this novel to become better known, supporting me whenever I got too tired and thoughts of giving up wormed into my head.

That being said, I'm extremely grateful to you all!! 🙇‍♀️

Secondly, Arc 13! Call me superstitious or whatnot. 13 has always been my lucky number. Silly, I know. Childish even. But I'm feeling very happy that I'll be entering 2021 swimming inside this beautiful 13. Not to mention that this means another Arc successfully completed!

And thirdly, I was finally offered a new Contract, this one not exclusive, which means that they would, more or less, allow me to keep my rights as an author. (and yeah, they wouldn't meddle with my writing anymore).

I was really!, really! excited! 🥳 🥳 🥳 I mean, who doesn't feel like that, right? Having someone tell you that you're finally going to get paid to do what you truly, wholeheartedly enjoy doing? Not to mention the level of recognition. This is someone experienced in the field, telling you that they think your work is good enough to be sold and turn a profit. I was jumping all over the house, calling mom and whoever I could find on my contact list to tell them the news. Until I realized that this meant that no one would be able to read my novel for free anymore 😔 . Chapters above 40 or so would be locked. I was suddenly very conflicted 🙄 . I felt like some very important people, people who have helped me right from the start, would inevitably be left out. I didn't want that. And so, yeah, your silly author refused yet another contract 🥴.

Instead. I followed the advice of some of you folks. I went and poured my entire novel into my P a t r e o n account (one that, truth be told, was never used before). I will be regularly updating the novel there. In fact, there's already 10 extra chapters uploaded. For those of you who can and are willing to support this novel, those of you who would be able and willing to pay for those locked chapters, for only $3 a month you'll be able to read ahead and enjoy a few extra updates. In the near future I will be also uploading FeiWan's and CalWan's story, since there's so much to be explained and I can't possibly give them more space than I already give them in RTYY. And, for now, that novel will be a P a t r e o n exclusive.

Of course, for those of you who are unable to support RTYY in a physical manner, you will still be able to read it here, since this is its loving home. I will still be uploading new chapters every week, maybe just not as frequently, since I'll be spending some time on the new story line 😊 . I know some of you will be very sad with these changes. But, honestly speaking, this was the best I could come up with. This way it will be as if I've signed that contract but, at the same time, I'll still able to freely offer my work to all of you, as recognition for all the love and support I've received during this last amazing year.

As always, I thank you all for your amazing support and truly hope you can all keep reading this novel, as it enters its second year of serialization (damn. I really feel old right now lol 👵🏼).
