a losing victory

staring down the wind wolf that had done the impossible rohen had to admit that well he survived and would recover it was partially due to luck as his arm had been ripped off not due to the shear force of being slammed but the teeth that had managed to pierce his body the saving grace being almost all of the wolf's teeth on the left side had been destroyed in the blast even the left eye to the front leg had been ripped off and all of its rib cage was exposed showing broken bones.

with little time to take in what happened Ren had already made her way to the general as the all counted Rohen out of the battle due to the unexpected events.

"tell me what's going on, how can two demi gods be pushed the hard" general khan wasn't happy with what he had just seen.

"we've been hold up by a bear that uses illusions and we didn't want to suppress it to quickly before you arrived to prevent he wolf from fleeing earlier" before he could continue the blood queen quickly answered although speaking only half truth as they had been the ones being suppressed and seeing the outcome of Rohen could only imagine if they had no reinforcements.

"illusions, bear!?, what bear?" looking around Khan looked around anxiety clearly on face as he knew of only one type of bear that could use magic that gives off that appearance of illusions.

"are you looking for me little boy or should I call you little man since I think you'll give me more a chance to stretch these old bones" standing and the opposite side of the wolf even further then Rohen stood the old bear that never even moved when the ground around him shattered after all he knew what they would try and what to expect.

"what is your kind doing here" with a voice filled with rage khan couldn't hide the his worry from those around hi.as he was clearly startled.

"you mean me?, why would I not be here after all your kind broke the pact naturally but be glade sense those responsible came from your kingdom, only your people must pay the price and as a show of good will only I've come so please dont hold back on my account for what ever happens is happens."

"I see", with a sigh of indignation he tilts his head back before continuing," then let me offer my gratitude for you leniency" with a said other paused he roared, "HERE ME MEN YOU MUST HOLD NOTHING BACK FIGHT WITH YOU LIVES FOR WE FIGHT THE NIGHTMARE OF ENVY AND GREED IF YOU SURVIVE THEN KNOW YOU HAVE LIVED WHEN LEGENDS HAD PERISHED" and with a final pause he prayed for all their survival "CHARGE"

with generals charge a different type of battle toke place as each attack displayed was made with the very intent of mass destruction khan himself was a pure physical fighter he could send his power through the edge of his weapon or any type of his body normally he would fight with grace and swiftness but his battle showed no grace nor control only wild movements of speed and power with every swing down the earth would split and every swing would destroy the ground outward showing how much force was behind every swing he would even abandon his weapon to prevent himself from taking a clean strike from the old bear and with every blow he landed the gash would vanish even if it was decapitate it would fade like a mirage leaving the bear with no sign of injury.

As for the wind wolf its wounds healed at a visible rate allowing it to fight at peak form again to add oil to the fire they now faced the white wolf that was no healer but a weapon master that could control weapons around it even a armor set wrapped its body with chain mail covering its underbelly but despite what they expected of its fighting style it was swift and crafty no similarities to a heavy armor fighter even the healing received unable them to restore their hope of victory.

With each strike that did not kill lead them further to deaths door but as elite troops they did not go down easy as the battle could still go either way or so they thought as with each passing moment the fight continued to be more disadvantage to the human warriors as wind and ice blew through the battle field covering the field in deep snow and wind that pierced any armor and clothing even storm clouds began to fill the sky and visibility could fall to mere feet at the whims of the wolves that now controlled the field and could disengage from combat at any time to aid their companions as the blizzard and snow wasn't normal and would aid in their slow mobility to keep up.

during all the fighting several figures had been watching from afar, being a kingdom at the frontier there were many agents and citizens from other nations keeping such sudden activity from them was a fools hope especially the possible appearance of a wild healer of divine class forcing the fastest forces they could assemble to infiltrate unnoticed after all a frontier kingdom despite always being younger always proved in many occasions to posses more forces then they let on none the less they had been unable to intercept the beast first leaving most nations to come across the scene of a miniature blizzard of the once walled city and the lands surrounding it preventing them from seeing what was happening inside

Fighting against the old bear khan didn't show any signs of his swings drooping in strength or speed as he knew the only way to fight the enemy in front of him was to use as much power in a steady pace as he could as its skill was more then illusions but tread the line of bending reality the only possible way found to handle it was to infuse attacks with his power as the energy required to undo effects caused by it were harder to undo forcing the beast to run out of magic but the records stated the battle lasted three days he could only prey the bear in front of him was a lesser being of his kind,

at the other end of his blows the bear was feeling just as vexed

The old bear was finding it more difficult to deal with the giant axe wielder as each strike was infused with his power causing more of his own to undo it nothing worthy of concern until one considered the damage of the two guardian wolves as healing could only do so much for them even from a divine healer as they were using secret arts known as the last stand that could increase all attributes and abilities by a large margin but the body would use its life force even damaging the soul, healing magic could replenish life force and heal the soul but only so much before the body could no longer except it leaving him to undo the damage only for it to appear as fast as before and with each use they wolves would suffer greatly but they persisted through the desire to finally rest as it was a worthy cause so they persisted tell end to come.

the battle lasted no more then an few hours with little less then half of all the original human forces left alive due only to the intervention of the other kingdom and races that could no longer bear the uncertainty of losing their target, with there help the fights were ended much quicker but not with out a few good men losing their lives sense they were unaware of the bears ability and it played the same trick as the bodies of the beast the interlopers killed would return suddenly, a trick that took a heavy toll on the bear but was more the worth the price as at least one person fell on the enemy side per beast that suddenly returned sense even the soldiers present from the start did not think it could also effect its companions.

The sudden lose of dozens of soldiers at their level was a huge loss to any orginazation and the desire for such an ability was blatantly obvious at first site as many of the demi gods that had actually came to personally come in case the rumors were true acted on sight. Unlike those below the demigods they normally have their means to see past certain obstacles and seeing the situation Ren and kings bane had not struggled to desingaged from thier fight with the white wolf only becouse it too was willing and escaped once the they joined the battle.

The field feel silent with the lack of battle and the white wolf was able to realize the end has come and surprisingly retreated under the cover of a sudden snowstorm surrounding him leaving only the two gaurdian wolves in his place but each showed no signs of stepping forward to help the old bear as they no longer had the strength to deny the darkness, thier last sight was not one of a single bear being over whelmed but the reality that should always be.
