Chapter Three

UNKNOWN: Are you okay?!

UNKNOWN: Please tell me you're alright.

UNKNOWN: Macie?

UNKNOWN: Shit, baby. I'm going out of my mind here. I need to know you're safe.

UNKNOWN: Is the fire out? Where exactly are you? I'm coming to get you.

MACIE: I'm okay. I'm pretty shaken up but I'm okay.

UNKNOWN: THANK GOD. Are you sure you're alright?

MACIE: I am. The fire's gone but I'm not allowed to get back inside just yet.

MACIE: I'm in my sleep clothes and it's freaking cold out. All I have with me is my phone.

MACIE: Wait. You're not Luisa, are you?

UNKNOWN: I'm not. I don't even know who she is.

MACIE: If you're not her then who exactly are you?

UNKNOWN: I told you, it's Chase.

MACIE: But I don't know any Chase.

UNKNOWN: We were together for a year before you broke up with me 4 months ago.

UNKNOWN: Did you bump your head and got amnesia while I was away or something?

MACIE: If I did get amnesia, I wouldn't remember bumping my head or anything like that, would I?

UNKNOWN: If it's not amnesia, then why can't you remember who I am?

MACIE: Maybe it's because I haven't even met you yet?

MACIE: I mean, I've never had a boyfriend before. With everything that's been going on in my life, I don't have time for one.

MACIE: I just started college and I work 3 jobs because my parents got divorced and they left me all alone to fend for myself.

MACIE: They said I was old enough and I could take care of myself just fine.

MACIE: I don't even have time to hang out with my friends. Well, I don't have any anymore so I guess it's for the best?

MACIE: It's my day off today and I don't have to study for my classes. I wanted to relax but then this shit happens. *sigh*

MACIE: Wait. Why am I telling you this? You're a STRANGER.

MACIE: Forget everything I've said.

UNKNOWN: How old are you?

UNKNOWN: If you don't have any friends, who's Luisa then?

MACIE: Luisa's my cousin. It's my 19th birthday today.
