Chapter 7 - The Monkey Gods Skill Inheritance

'Well to put it simply Saints have two meanings: the first meaning in the name refers to them being able to create mental symbols which are basically symbols or formations that represent something but made out of mental energy, and the really amazing thing about them is that those symbols come to life temporarily if the saint wills it. And the other meaning , is something I don't know much about, but all I know is that they create some sort of pacts with souls from another realm.

Bai Feng's curiosity was instantly peaked as he heard about the saints, he thought it was amazing how these entities could create something out of mental energy, in his opinion, it was definitely something he should learn as soon as he got out.

'cough. Cough', Sun Wukong coughed loudly to get Bai Feng out of his fanatic daze. He straightened up and said 'but before you leave the cave, you should be proud of yourself, as I the great Sun Wukong has decided to pass on my inheritance to you"

Bai Feng stared at Sun Wukong as if nothing happened, but inside Sun Wukong heart was bleeding as he looked at the mortal before his reaction

'Curse this brat he doesn't understand how awesome and great my inheritance is' thought Sun Wukong.

He sighed deeply and accepted his fate of being unknown. After crying inside, he toughened up, and spread out his palm, within his palm 7 red glowing books appeared and started rotating in his palms.

"What I am about to bestow upon you is my main skill inheritance titled the Monkey gods skill set, however due to your current cultivation you are only able to learn at max 2-3 of these skills".

The monkey god handed over the skill books for Bai Feng to hold.

As soon as he held the book Bai Feng knew there was something special about these skill books, he could feel intimidating power coming from the skills.

He spread out each one on the floor to see what they were:

Monkey's blink – Movement skill

Appear out of nowhere as soon as your opponent blinks. Instantly vanish and reappear anywhere in your line of sight. Teleport right in front of them or in the air. One minute you're here next you're gone piercing your weapon through their head. The distance you can teleport increases as you become stronger

Cultivation requirement: none required

Heaven decimating slash – Attack skill

When mastered completely, with one slash one can destroy a large mountain, 3 slashes eradicate a planet, 7 slashes can nearly kill a god and at nine slashes you can decimate the heavens. Cut down all those who stand in your path. Those who cultivate this skill have embraced the path of war and declare war on all enemies even including the heavens if it blocked their path. Decimate and dominate words.

Cultivation requirement: Martial king

Heaven decimating ball – Attack skill

Create a crimson ball of mass destruction. Comprised of nine stages, at the first stage you can obliterate a large mountain and at the ninth stage a single ball can destroy 10 planets if they were gathered together. With each stage mastered the number of energy balls you can create increase by one so at the ninth stage you will be able to conjure nine balls of absolute devastation.

Cultivation Requirement: Martial Lord

Intervening Phoenix bow – Attack skill

Materialise a crimson ruby phoenix bow to bring down your troublesome foes from any distance. When the bow is summoned them getting hurt is inevitable, when the arrow is drawn their death is near, and when the arrow is released in a fury blaze, they will be sent to the yellow springs. The arrows are made from your energy. You are the quiver.

Cultivation Requirement: Demi Lord Rank

Infinite clones – Support/Attack skill

Like looking at yourself, then you will love this skill. Outnumber your opponent with your own clones. The number of clones you can summon depend on your ability. The clones will obtain 50% of your full strength and anything that happens with the clone, no matter how far away you are, you will know as well. And the best thing about these clones are that when you recall them, the amount of mana you used to make them returns back to you. You can use them as spies, distractions or to peek on beauties from anywhere

Cultivation Requirement: Earthen

Bai Feng glared at the monkey as he knew the monkey was toying with him, the only reason why he said Bai Feng could only learn 3 was because of the requirements but yet he showed off the other skills just to make Bai Feng jealous and hungry. Sun Wukong saw Bai Feng's glare and turned his head away pretending to blush and creepily said in a high pitched voice 'ooh stop it...hehe'.

Bai Feng's body shivered at the site of this and turned his head back to the skill books. He picked up three of them and said

"well I have decided to learn the skills [Monkeys blink], [Intervening phoenix bow] and [Infinite clones]" said Bai Feng as he showed Sun Wukong the books

Sun Wukong nodded his head and said "very well", as he swished his hand and collected the other four skill books. He turned his head as if remembering something and said

"I almost forgot to tell you, but there is one more advantage your bloodline mark gives you. If you place any skill book or scroll of some sort near it, it will absorb the book and you will immediately gain a basic foundation of how to use the skill, and as your bloodline gets even more powerful you will be able to reproduce those exact skill books after absorbing them as many times you want!!"

Bai Feng for some reason didn't jump out in joy but instead showed a calm expression on his face he looked up in a daze

"I don't deserve this bloodline, just by awakening it I have such a big advantage over other cultivators, however I must make the best use of it if I plan on finding out more about my family and getting stronger" thought Bai Feng. He wasted no time as he quickly sat down and placed the [Infinite clone] skill book on his seven dragon saints mark. He watched in amazement as the book was slowing getting eaten up by the dragon heads, and with every piece of the book absorbed, Bai Feng gained basic foundational knowledge about the skill as if he had always known it. The entire process took around 30 minutes. And when it was finished he hurriedly placed the next skill book on his birthmark. After an hour Bai Feng stood up and stretched his arms and legs. He then took a deep breath and suddenly his figure just blurred and disappeared and reappeared 10 meters from his original point.

At that moment Sun Wukong woke up from his nap and said "you just couldn't wait to check your new skills could you"

Bai Feng ignored him and inspected how much mana he had after using the [Monkey's blink] skill. Just like he expected the mana consumption was pretty high, but his mana started recovering and it became full again in around 5 minutes..

Bai Feng continued blinking from one spot to another as he just couldn't contain the feeling of disappearing and reappearing from one place to another in just one blink of an eye. After Playing around with the skill he waited for his mana to recover and while that was happening Sun Wukong's spiritual form appeared in front of him and asked

"so what now, what do you plan on doing"

Bai Feng thought for a moment and replied "well I plan on staying in Demonshine forest for 3 months and battle crystal beast's so I can gain some battle experience after that I will leave and go to the number one province"

Sun Wukong nodded his head as if approving and said in a serious tone "but before you start hunting the beasts, I think you should go look for the…...Mirror of nature, one the 72 Dao treasures personally created by the Dao of nature and its located right here in Demonshine forest!".
