Something is off about Quirrell." Harry stated. The Quartet had just finished their Defense against the dark arts class, and were heading to lunch, since it was their last class of the week. Today had many names around the world, Samhain, All hallows eve, Dia de los muerto, and more commonly known, Halloween. Harry could feel something off in the air.

"I heard he ran afoul of a vampire clan on his sabbatical." Blaise mentioned. "I've also heard he was the Muggle studies teacher before hand." He added.

"What do you think's up with him?" Tracey asked.

"I'm not sure. There's a multitude of issue's I have found. First, his stutter. There's a few spells and potions that fix stutters, as they can cause spells to work improperly. It sounds forced, like he's over exaggerating it." Harry said.

"I thought so as well." Daphne said.

"Another thing is how often he stares at me and my ex family." Harry said. "He stares more at the Potter's, but every so often there's a lingering look at me." Harry said.

"I never noticed him looking at you that weirdly." Tracey said.

"I believe he might be trying to probe my mind, but is too weak to do so." Harry replied. Everyone looked at him suprised. "If he was infact attacked by vampires to the degree that he shows, which is doubtful, then his mental capacity is deteriorating." Harry explained, getting more looks. He sighed.

"Oh, owl's are here." Blaise said. There was a large flock of owls flying in from an open window near the ceiling. Harry went back to his food, not expecting anything. Suddenly, a large dark shadow enveloped him. When he looked up, he found a large crane before him.

"Uh, hi?" Harry said. The bowed before extending it's leg. There was a letter attached. "Thank you." Harry said, retrieving the letter. On it was a single sentence. We need to talk soon. -B.

"What's with the bird Potter?" Malfoy sneered.

"It's a Black-necked Crane Mr. Malfoy. And I will remind you once more, my name is Thornwood, not Potter." Harry said, not even looking up from the letter.

"Whose B?" Tracey asked. Daphne and Blaise also leaned in to hear this answer.

"B is my master's initial for his name. This is the guy who lives in Tibet. Also, way to read over my shoulder Tracey." Harry said before the crane flew off. Tracey blushed in embarrassment. "Back to Quirrell, his mind should be fairly weak if he pissed off a vampire clan. They have a glamor, kinda like a Veela, except theirs is used to lull pray into lowering their guard." Harey explained.

"If thats true, then he should be docile, and possibly in a trace." Daphne said.

"True, if the vampires were trying to feed or mate with him. Vampires can control their glamor differently then Veela. They can use theirs with rage. Some call it bloodlust, but thats a different story. Anyway, when they use their rage to power their allure, they can tear through an enemies mental shields, if any. Even skilled Occlumens can be ripped of their mental strength." Harry explained.

"Long story short, if he enraged a vampire, much less a clan, we would have seen him start to break down since the beginning of school. That, or he would have died by now." Harry said, taking a bite of chicken. Tracey looked a bit green at this, while Blaise and Daphne looked unsettled.

"You're... quite informed." Blaise said.

"Know thy self and know thy enemy." Harry said crytically before taking another bite. About ten minutes later, the four stood from their part of the table and walked back to the dungeons.

"So, what did you mean know thy self, know thy enemy?" Tracey asked.

"You know Tracey, they say walls have ears. I'm quite inclined to believe that saying." Harry said, looking at the paintings on the walls. "Daphne can tell you, so long as your not eavesdropped on." Harry said as they entered the common room. Harry motioned to Blaise to their room.

When they got in, Harry locked the door, and started writing on a piece of paper.

"I need something from you Blaise. No questions after I ask, this paper will explain everything. Just follow the directions. Agreed?" Harry asked, handing the dark skinned kid the paper. Blaise studied him for a moment before nodding. "I need a vow of silence about what you are about to see. Nothing will be said or written about it. Agreed?" Harry asked once more.

"Agreed, so long as this explains everything." He said holding the paper.

"It does." Harry said. Harry stuck his arm out. Blaise grabbed his arm, and they spoke the vow. Harry nodded before stepping back. Blaise was going to question why he stepped back, but Harry shook his head. He smirked before placing a finger on his lips and held his other hand up. Cracks in the air appeared around his hand before reality ripped in half, displaying a swirling vortex of all sorts of colors. Blaise took a step back in shock, before the tear engulfed Harry. Blaise looked down at the letter.

Hiya Blaise. I bet you've got quite the handful of questions. First off, I'm a Portal Keeper. Look it up yourself. The less said the better. That part you can talk about, the Portal Keeper that is, not that I am one. Next, if I'm not back from where I went, give who ever is asking the next part of this letter. Please cut off the paper here.

Hello, I have invoked Hogwarts by-law 47, I have left to deal with some business that my proxy cannot. Sorry for the lack of warning.

-Hadrian James Thornwood.

Over in Tibet, a portal opened up.

"Uh, it's freezing!" Harry said, forgetting to grab winter clothes. Harry looked around, searching for his master. "Bod! Where are you?" Harry called.

"Look behind you, young wolf." Came a voice from behind the green eyed lad. Harry wiped around to see the large immortal, chuckling to himself.

"Jesus Bod! Don't do that!" Harry scolded. The Buddhist just laughed harder. "So what did you need me for Bod?" Harry asked. The immortal stopped laughing and drew serious.

"Come." He commanded, before turning around. Bod led Harry up the mountain trail, until they reached a flat clearing near the peak of the mountain. Clouds covered most of the view, but standing towards the edge was a man, whose back was turned to them. He had a red bald head, with runic tattoos adorning his cranium. He wore a pelt of some kind of beast over his chest, and fur lined boots over leather pants. As Harry looked closer, he noticed a large scar wrapping around his neck.

"Ah, you've come brother." The man said with a Norse accent. "It is as you've said." He said before turning around. Harry took notice of his face, as it was one that sticks out quick well. He had a beard, and glowing yellow eyes. The scar that was around the back of his neck was also evident around the front. "Ah, you've brought him." He said, sticking out his hand. "Mimir. Norse god of wisdom and knowledge." He introduced.

Harry shook his hand. "Hadrian Thornwood, last of the Thornwood's." Harry explained.

"Pleasure. Haven't met a Thornwood in many a millennia." Mimir said. "You... are the one." He said suddenly. Harry narrowed his eyes in confusion.

"Mimir here is blessed with future sight, or as you English say, he's a seer." Bod explained.

"Aye lad. Many a year ago, the Giant's and the Vanir forged me these eye's to see beyond sight. I have seen many things to come, and many that could come. I asked Bod here to send for you, for a multitude of reasons." Mimir explained.

"Um, sorry to interrupt, but I have very little knowledge of Norse Mythology, well in our case, history, besides what Bod here taught me. I thought Giant's were a tribal race, who were very aggressive." Harry explained.

"No problem little brother. The Giants of this realm are as you've said. That is because of how much inbreeding they've done over the centuries. The giants originally had two factions, The fire, and the frost Giants. They lived apart, but were still ruled over together by their king. You know how a large portion of all magical societies and beasts left this realm for another? The majority of the giants who were still alive at that point left with the others, leaving a small group here to repopulate. However, even wizards of today feared them, and hunted them to near extinction. They never recovered." Mimir explained.

"What did you mean, still alive?" Harry asked.

"Did you ever hear about the tale of Ragnarok?" Mimir asked.

"It was the supposed end of all realms in Norse mythology." Harry said.

"Correct. And a great flood would cover the world, drowning all in a water doom." Mimir finished. "This is partially true. Ragnarok did come to pass." Mimir said. Harry's eye's widened, and turned his head so fast it cracked, towards Bod.

"How come you never told me any of this?!" Harry questioned.

"I was hoping you would come back this summer to further your training. Remember, do not let your education get in the way of learning." Bod said. Harry huffed, a bit peeved, but otherwise accepted the answer.

"As I was saying. Ragnarok did come to pass. Most of the gods of the Vikings died in battle, and the world did flood. This has been recorded in a multitude of religions and cultures. Two humans survived on a raft, and every animal and being that has been in 'modern' history survived with them. The Christians, Jewish, and Muslim new these humans as Noah and his wife. We Norse knew them as Lif, and Lifthrasir. They repopulated the world. The story changes a bit on over how many people survived, but the gist of the story is that there was a large flood, killing most of the world, before it was reborn. The Giant's survived to a degree, and repopulated." Mimir said, finishing the story.

"So I assume that, because of the Giants and Vanir Gods, you've foreseen something concerning me." Harry speculated.

"Indeed little brother. Fatum gave me a prophecy concerning you." Mimir said before his posture changed.

"A knight of old, and two kings of new,

one of darkness, one of light,

shall come together in one final fight.

But Yggdrasil will create a new dew,

And the path of realms will come undone,

unless the knight can win this blight.

And if things go according to his path,

he shall bring about a new heaven will have begun."

Mimir's posture changed back to normal, as he finished the prophecy ended.

"I always hate doing that." He said.

"And you're sure that it's about me? This prophecy is pretty vague about a lot of the people in it." Harry said.

"I was also given glimpses of what may come. You see, the future is like a river, always flowing, and changing directions, and branching off. But, I caught glimpses of certain things. There was a dark lord in Britain not to long ago wasn't there?" Mimir asked. Harry's eye's widened at these words.

"Voldemort. He was said to be killed by my... siblings, ten years ago." Harry said, taking a few breaths.

"Sorry to bring up bad memories little brother." Mimir said.

"It's fine. My life is quite good. But what about the knight of old, and the king of light?" Harry asked.

"You are the knight of old. You actively learn ancient magic, and are quite skilled. Both in magic, and battle. You just lack allies like that of a king. As for the King of light, that one is obvious. Dumbledore, as eccentric, and unhelpful he may be, is the king of light. Most of the world regards him as the modern Merlin." Mimir explained.

"Alright, that makes more sense. But what does it mean that Yggdrasil will create a new dew, and the path of realms will come undone?" Harry asked.

"Yggdrasil is what we called what the realms resided upon in Norse history. It was a giant tree that divided the realms. It's still alive, but it is different that what we thought. Yggdrasil is actually the pathways between many things. Cultures, gods, and the different realms. Even places protected by magic are connected. Yggdrasil is really everything in existence, and the ties it has to everything." Mimir explained. He then sighed.

"You experience turbulence when you used your portal to get here, didn't you?" Mimir asked. Harry was shocked, as he did remember being tossed around quite a bit on the way to Tibet. He nodded. "Yggdrasil is being poisoned, because the laws of nature are being torn as quickly as they can heal. Something in this realm is upsetting the balance. Here, use these to see for yourself." Mimir said, pulling out a pair of goggles. "These will let you have a glimpse of what I can see."

Harry took them, and approached the edge of the clearing. Upon putting them on, he visibly paled. Dark rifts of swirling energy were seen every so often, some quite large, other's the size of his finger. A few of the rifts were undulating, and growing slowly.

"A large part of this was because of the vacuum left by the magic being taken from this realm." Mimir explained as Harry took off the goggles.

"And I am the one to fix this?" Harry asked.

"You might be. But, I will give you a few warnings. If nothing is done, all realms, primordial, dead, magic, and mundane, will be wiped form existence. This is worse than Ragnarok will ever be. But another warning. The path to hell is paved with good intentions. But the path to your destiny is often encountered on the path of trying to avoid it." Mimir said.

"How can I fix this? I-I'm only Eleven!" Harry said.

"I wish I could tell you more, but interference with fate is sure fire way to make sure the worse possible future will happen. But, there is good news, I can give you some information about what you need to do. Gather allies, those like yourself, keep an open mind, gain allies that are not just human." Mimir said, before pulling out a small chest.

"These are gifts to help you in the future. Use them wisely." Mimir said. Harry opened them, revealing three objects. A bundle of scales, a bottle of liquid, and stone ring with runes. "That ring will stabilize your travel between places and realms. The scales are from the world serpent, and so is the liquid. These objects are the last of their kind." Mimir explained.

"Oh yes, one more thing I can tell you. The kings of darkness, and the kings of light, will both have powerful allies, not necessarily human, and not necessarily from this realm." Mimir counseled.

"Thank you Mimir. I will use these wisely." Harry said. Mimir nodded before opening a portal through his eye's and walking through. "Bod, did you know all of this?" Harry asked.

"I did not. I did feel that something was wrong, as I am tasked with watching the world. I can tell you that this prophecy will be fulfilled one way or another. But it will be fulfilled quite a few years from now. So you have time, and you don't have to worry all that much. Just focus on learning more, becoming stronger, and making friends and allies." Bod said with a smile.

"Alright. I should probably get back, before someone comes looking for me." Harry said.

"And do visit this summer, there is always more to learn." Bod said with a smile. Harry nodded before opening a portal and stepping through. This time, the trip was much smoother, thanks to the ring. He stepped out into his bedroom, Blaise having gone to dinner.

"Ooh, that took longer than I thought it did." Harry said. The common room was pretty empty, just a few people lingering for a little longer before going to the Great hall. Seeing none of his friends, he made his way to Dinner.

"Ah, there you are." Tracey said as he sat down. "Where were you?" She asked.

"I had some business to take care of." Harry said cryptically.

"And what business would that be, Mr. Thornwood?" Said a voice behind him.

"Just some things that my proxy couldn't do, Professor Dumbledore." Harry said not turning around.

"Very well, please give us more time next time. I do thank you for the note though." Dumbledore said before walking back up to the professors table.

"That was bullshit, and you know it." Daphne said.

"Can't get anything past you Daph." Harry said with a chuckle. Daphne blushed a bit by the complement.

"I can't quite tell you yet, as I myself am still trying to figure it out." Harry said. The three nodded their heads in understanding before they started eating. About ten minutes into their meal, the large oak doors burst open, Professor Quirrell, running in, terror on his face.

"Troll! Troll! In the dungeon!" He yelled. The whole room went silent, Dumbledore standing from his seat. "Troll, in the dungeon. Just thought you aught to know." He said before fainting on his face.
