Bulltaro

Hessian POV

"You know, this is kind of romantic." I listen to Eresh as she sits on my back in preparation.

"How so?"

"It kind of feels like were getting married" she gushed with bubbly amusement as she began to place her blood on my back.

After a week of STRENUOUS DISSECTION. I finally have a good idea of how the falna system works. The test subject that I used had his memories altered and erased afterwards, but he seemed to have developed a subconscious fear of sharp objects. Oh well, these things happen sometimes. At least he's still living and fine.

The divinity that I felt came from the blood that the gods would use to inscribe their falnas on adventurers. However the blessing in itself wasn't divine, in fact it was closer to a magical contract like a geass. Despite the fact that I could easily break the contract, I'd rather be contracted to a god I'm familiar with. In this case, Ereshkigal. It didn't take her long to agree to the idea, and I needed to test it on myself for better data.

"Done! Now we can be considered a 'Familia'." she chirped happily as she wrote down my stats.

The list went on for a bit longer.

"That's weird, why are your parameters zero?" Eresh muttered from the side as I took a look.

"It doesn't count the experience a person has already accumulated before receiving a falna." I explain to her "If I wanted to get experience, then I'd have to head to the dungeon and kill mobs like a game."

"So how do you level up?" she asked as she didn't know the specifics. To be honest, I didn't know the specifics of leveling up either.

"Not completely sure, supposedly I should be capable of leveling when I max out my stats along with accomplishing a feat that's impressive to even the gods." That was the most I could get out of that adventurer's memories.

"Don't push yourself too hard, okay?" she tells me with concern. I gotta say, it's pretty heart-warming to see her care so much. Too bad I'm a terrible person who constantly flirts with other women because I get enjoyment out of it. I'm happy she still loves me regardless.

"Don't worry, I should be fine unless the gods in this city unsealed their divinity. Even then, I'd probably be fine." I wrap my arms around her midsection and bring her in for some quality skinship.

"I'd like to register as an adventurer, is this the right place?" I asked the receptionist at the counter

"Yes, I just need you to come with me to sign some forms." she replied as she made her way towards a room to the side. It was a small room, a bit boring and needed more decor in my opinion.

"Now, while you're doing that. I just need to ask you a few standard questions." she says as I write down my current info in this world

"First, are you registering with or without a Familia?" Oh? People can register without Familias? She seemed to notice my intrigued eyes as she responded professionally.

"Not everyone is fortunate enough to be accepted into a Familia to start with, however they still need to make a living. So they can still register and head to the dungeon to get the cores from the early floors. Until then, we'll keep them on a list for in the case another Familia wanted to recruit them." she explained with a professional attitude. Reminds me of your average office lady.

"Of course, there are benefits that they wouldn't be able to enjoy while they are without a Familia. It includes not having your own advisor to assist you. Normally, you could just give your spoils to the advisor that accepted you and they would take care of it. But without that, you would need to personally wait in line at the exchange counter. There are other benefits, but I do not wish to bore you with them." she says as I continued to fill out the form

"I'm with Ereshkigal's Familia. She's new here, so I apologize for any inconveniences of her current absence." I say as I'm unsure of what Eresh does when I'm not around.

WITHIN THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT.

"HEY ISHTAR! YOU'RE A SLUT!" The Death Goddesses shout echoed throughout the entire red light district enraging the Ishtar of this world.

BACK WITH HESSIAN

Maybe she just chills at home all day. That actually sounds nice, now that I think about it.

"So am I done?" I ask as we've been here for awhile now.

"Yes, everything seems to be in order. If you wish for an advisor, then you must ask them yourself. Should they accept, they will take care of you in the future. If not, then you would have to do what everyone else does." She says as she heads back to her booth.

"My thanks, see ya miss....?" I just realized I never asked her name

"Rose. Rose Fannet, my one warning to you is to be careful. I've seen many adventurers never return in my time here." Her professionalism slips as a bit of emotion finds it's way into her voice.

"I'll remember it." I tell her as I make my way into the dungeon.

Within the early floors of the dungeon, a certain white haired protagonist was running for his life as a minotaur chased his ass to a dead end. Bell Cranel couldn't understand why there was a minotaur this early into the dungeon. It didn't make any sense, but he stopped thinking sense when fear overtook emotions. Finding his prey cornered, the bull finally slowed down his steps. The floor trembled with each step of it's hooves.

However before the Bull-Man ended the protagonist's life, a man stepped in between them. The bull stopped as an instinctual fear arose within him, as he stared at the young magician. It was of course Hessian.

"Do you want to live?" Hessian turned his head to the protagonist, ignoring the minotaur.

"Wha-?"

"I said DO YOU WANT TO LIVE BELL CRANBERRIES!?" he shouted the last part

"My name is Bell Cranel!" he corrected on reflex

"Not important! DO YOU WANT TO LIVE!?" Hessian roared

"YES!" Bell shouted back

Hessian turned back towards the minotaur as he placed a pair of shades on.

"Then you must dance!" he said confusing the white haired adventurer.

Bell couldn't understand the scene before him as the buff minotaur changed into clothes that he had never seen before. The minotaur now had a visored, ornamented cap that was torn to accommodate it's horns, and a roughly mid-calf-length coat with a standing collar and chains attached. The gray shirt accentuated it's well built frame and the black pants seemed stretched by it's calves.

"Come at us Bulltaro!" Hessian challenged the bull, who was now dressed like Jotaro from Jojo.

With a bestial roar, the Bull began to pull off some sick moves as a goblin in the background turned on the boombox. The beat was out of this world, literally. Once the minotaur who was now named Bulltaro, finished his moves. He stood in a synchronized pose with a crew of kobolds and goblins behind him. They waited for the other side to make their moves.

"Well kid, were up." Hessian spoke seriously as he revealed his own boombox from inside his haori.

"Up? What are we doing!?" Bell cried out as he truly didn't understand what was going on.

"I told you kid, WERE DANCING! IF YOU WANT TO LIVE, YOU MUST DANCE YOUR SOUL OUT!" Hessian roared at the protagonist with fiery resolve.

Hessian turned on the boombox without waiting for his reply.

"VOCAL PERCUSSION ON A WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL! COMING FROM MY MIND!~" Hessian started putting out some funky moves as Bell watched from the side.

Unfortunately he would not be able to stay out of it as Hessian sent him a mental message.

"FOLLOW ALONG KID!" Bell reluctantly started moving in sync with the insane magician as he wanted to live.

"Let the moves come naturally to you! You want to be a hero right!? Then let the music flow through you!" Bell heard as his body seemed to shift more fluently with the beat.

Their bodies were in perfect sync as the gang of monsters observed from the side. However Bulltaro had enough as he took a step forward. The two dancers didn't halt their movements as the minotaur looked down at them. Then without warning, Bulltaro joined them in their synchronized moves. It was a true monster parade when the rest of the monsters joined along.

In the distance, Ais Wallenstein looked at the scene with her head tilted. She couldn't comprehend the manly exchange before her.
