Chapter 111: WHEN WILL IT END

Su Mianmian took a look. It was the woman she had taught a lesson to last time. This woman was most likely still angry about what happened. She spoke harshly.

However, Su Mianmian wasn't someone who was easy to bully. She turned around and used the cart to bump into her thigh. When she saw the woman furrow her brows in pain, she said with a fake smile, "You've seen through all of this. It seems like you do this kind of thing quite often."

The woman recalled the last time someone crashed into her car and thought that she could use this to cut off her spirit. She had new and old grudges against her, how could she not find trouble with Su Mianmian?

"Su Mianmian, stop pretending in front of others. Do you think that this act can hide your true dirty thoughts?"

Su Mianmian snorted coldly. "How can you claim to know my thoughts?"

This woman was clearly trying to stir up trouble.

Tang Wenyun came over and tried to calm her. "Zhang Wenwen, someone is calling you. Hurry up and go back. Don't make trouble here."

Zhang Wenwen's anger rose. She would not listen to anyone. Captain Lu was not here today; she did not need to worry about any consequences. She pushed Tang Wenyun. "This is none of your business. Get out of my way and stop meddling with my business."

Tang Wenyun was pushed into the cart behind her. She looked pale.

When Su Mianmian saw that her friend had been pushed, she threw her lunchbox away, and grabbed Zhang Wenwen's arm. She pushed her against a passenger's seat and said through gritted teeth, "You want to cause trouble? Why don't you make it known to everyone? Let all the passengers see the qualities of stewardess Zhang. How about it?"

Zhang Wenwen had not expected Su Mianmian to be so crazy. She had called out her name in front of the passengers. She felt embarrassed and pulled her hand back. She snorted coldly and said, "For the sake of Captain Lu, I won't argue with you today."

Su Mianmian laughed to herself. Lu Xiangdong was not even here! Who was she talking to?

However, since she was willing to let this go, she would not pester her.

Tang Wenyun heaved a sigh of relief.

"Sister Su, this woman is obviously jealous of you. You'd better be careful from now on."

Of course, she knew that Zhang Wenwen was hostile towards her. Wasn't it all for Lu Xiangdong?

But Lu Xiangdong had already gone to Hong Kong. She didn't want to be jealous of another woman because of him. So, she made a bold decision to go to Hong Kong to look for him.

Lu Xiangdong had been in Hong Kong for a day or two. These few days, he had been in meetings and field trips. He was so busy that he hardly had any time to drink any water. It was precisely because he was so busy, that he didn't have time to stop and think about things that he had forgotten about, like Su Mianmian. He forgot the purpose of his visit and devoted himself to his work.

"CEO Lu, this is the blueprint for the expansion of the factory. Please take a look at it." He was handed over a blueprint to examine.

Lu Xiangdong took the blueprint and looked at it as he walked. It was time for dinner.

The subordinate followed him and waited for his decision.

"There are a few parts of the blueprint that need to be modified. As for the funds and materials, I'll take the blueprint back to take a look first. You can come back tomorrow to retrieve it." Lu Xiangdong rolled up the blueprint and put it into his bag.

"Yes, Chief Lu." His subordinate nodded.

He crossed his long legs and sat in the car. The Land Rover and drove out with a 'WHOOSH!'

When he was alone, it was best to kill time. He thought of finding a restaurant to order one or two dishes. If Su Mianmian was by his side, this order would definitely not be enough.

Lu Xiangdong started to feel uncomfortable as he ate. Why was he thinking about her while he was eating? He threw his chopsticks aside, picked up his coat, and left the restaurant.

It was still early, only six in the afternoon. Lu Xiangdong struggled with his options. Should he return to his place of residence or take a stroll outside?

He saw a museum in front of him. Since he had nothing to do, he decided to take a stroll inside.

Su Mianmian, who had just gotten off the plane, was unsure of where to go.

It was her first time coming to Hong Kong, so she was unfamiliar with her surroundings, and she did not know where Lu Xiangdong was. She hailed a taxi by the roadside and took out her phone to call Lu Xiangdong.

When Lu Xiangdong entered the museum, he turned off his phone. He did not want to be disturbed while he was enjoying the art exhibitions.

Her call didn't go through. Su Mianmian felt depressed. She looked up and saw that her journey had cost 100 RMB so far. She lowered her head to look for change and asked the driver to quickly stop the car. She found some money from her wallet and threw it to the driver. She got out of the taxi and dragged her suitcase behind her.

Why was everything in this big city so expensive? She couldn't even afford a taxi. If she had known this earlier, she would have driven over herself.

This was bad; Lu Xiangdong's phone was turned off, and she was not familiar with this city. What should she do tonight?

Before it got dark, she managed to find a hotel to stay.

Su Mianmian dragged her suitcase into the hotel elevator.

Lu Xiangdong raised the watch on his wrist and looked at it. This museum was quite big. It took him a few hours to walk around inside.

After leaving the museum, he walked in the direction of his car and turned on his phone.

A text message popped up.

He opened it.

The message read, 'Lu Xiangdong, why did you turn off your phone? Where are you? I'm in Hong Kong.'

Another text message.

'Lu Xiangdong, are you going to turn your phone on or not?'

He got a third text message.

'Lu Xiangdong, if you don't have the guts, don't turn your phone on.'

The last text message was purely a threat. Lu Xiangdong searched for her phone number and dialed it.

The phone rang, with no answer.

He tried again, and still received no answer.

Su Mianmian was taking a shower in the bathroom. When she finally heard her phone ring, she did not have time to put on her clothes. She ran out of the bathroom wet.

"Hello?" She pounced on her bed and shouted excitedly.

But he had hung up the phone. He had probably waited too long and thought she wasn't around.

This silence only lasted for a few seconds before he called her again.

This time, Su Mianmian quickly pressed the answer button.

"Where are you?" His voice came from the other end of the phone. It was as faint as a layer of snow.

Su Mianmian sat up. "I'm at the hotel. Where are you? I'm going to look for you."

"Then come over. Can you find the way?" Lu Xiangdong worried that she would get lost.

Su Mianmian bit her lip. "I can't find you. I'm not familiar with this place."

There was a moment of silence on the other side. "Then wait for me at the hotel. I'll come over."

"Okay." That was what she had been waiting for.

From the sound of his voice, she gathered that he was no longer angry with her. She hadn't been sure if his anger had subsided after the incident with Ouyang Que.

When he came over later, she must explain herself to him clearly.

Lu Xiangdong drove fast. In about ten minutes, he had arrived at the hotel where she was staying. He didn't come up, he waited for her to come down.

Su Mianmian put on her clothes and went downstairs.

A Land Rover parked in front of the hotel. It was obviously his car. She slowly walked over and stopped in front of the car.

He lowered the window and turned his head to look at her. Then, he opened the car door next to him and let her sit in it.

Su Mianmian sat beside him and closed the car door.

He leaned against the back of his seat and stared in front, as if he did not want to see her.

Su Mianmian noticed this.

"Lu Xiangdong, I came here specially to look for you. I want to talk to you."

Lu Xiangdong looked at her as though to say, 'I'm listening to you.'

She originally had a lot of things to tell him, but when she saw his indifferent expression, she instantly lost her courage. She felt humiliated.

"Forget it, I don't think there's any need to say anything." She thought that she should leave, so she turned around and pushed open the car door. Just as she was about to get out of the car, he said quietly, "Don't you think it's a pity to leave just like that?"

She turned around and looked at him.

He raised her hands and pressed them against the car door. His gaze was like an iron brand as he watched her every move. The way he looked at her was filled with aggression.

She tried to push him.

"Let go."

"Su Mianmian, do you know what I've been doing these past few days?" He lifted a few strands of her long hair by her ear and rubbed them in his hands. His sounded like he was mumbling to himself.

She echoed his words and said, "Tell me, I'll know."

"These days, I haven't missed you. I've spent most of my time on work. I realized that without you, I can calm down and do things." She raised her head and looked at him, her eyes were filled with tears.

"If that's the case, why did you waste your time coming here? Lu Xiangdong, did you know that you're a f*cking b*stard?" She hit his chest angrily, but he grabbed her. He lowered his head and laughed.

Even now, he was still in the mood to laugh. Su Mianmian wished she could slap away the smug smile on his face.

"Although I can calm down and work, I feel like there's something missing. I thought about it carefully. It should be the laughter that you're ringing in my ears." He said this from the bottom of his heart.

Su Mianmian was stunned for a moment, but then she immediately responded. Was he praising her? He felt that she brought happiness to him. Was that what he meant?

"I'm so charming that I can make even you feel happy?" She felt joy from the bottom of her heart.

He looked at how happy she was.

"Don't just focus on being happy. When are you going to end the matter between you and Ouyang Que?"

The smile on her face instantly froze. He wouldn't really cut her off from Ouyang Que, right? She and Ouyang Que were friends, and he was a good person. He had helped her a few times. She couldn't possibly be so ungrateful as to stop seeing him.
