The God of Darkness, Dobbins had been stifled since his birth; or ascension, especially after knowing his birth was only the irreversible outcome of good Deities being born. His very existence brought meaning to them; yet he was not happy as he knew while they could grow and improve, he cannot; it wouldn't be long before he was outshined by all the gods, even if he did strive to improve.
Knowing being replaced meant death, Dobbins was willing to step out, encouraging the Deities to interrogate the invaders to get more vital information about their origins. Although he didn't succeed, his Majesty Dao vows to help him in creating a religion to support his efforts; however, that's not what he wants. He wanted a place that belonged to himself, a place that would empower him like the Deities in the Divine Realm. Unlike these Deities, he didn't get the blessing of an increase in strength or unique divine skills and abilities by living in the Divine Realm.
In fact, as the God of Darkness, he only had two abilities, which would make him the enemy of the good gods if he used them. The first is Darkness Manipulation, which makes him unkillable in regions of darkness. Darkness Manipulation had a wide range of use, where he could encompass the domains of other Deities. The second is Necromancy; which allows him to control the dead, to some degree, he could even resurrect them.
Darkness Manipulation put him at odds with not just Gods of Light or Day but all the gods!! Each of them would attack him if he did that because these gods cannot allow their source to be harmed; as that would weaken them. The source of a Deity is the divinity authority they command as is worship for if for some reason the divine authority is hindered by another, there are two outcomes, compromise or destruction between Deities. And in his case, it would obviously be destruction; as he was too weak!
True, there was a rule that Deities cannot kill each, and it is upheld but Deities are cruel beings that found loopholes in the words of his Majesty Dao, sealing! As long as one seals a Deity for a long time, they would be weakened as they are not responding to the prayers of their followers, which would lead to falling from grace, which could mean death or starting from a mortal, either way, both choice we're full of danger, and many are bound to die a true death this way.
Necromancy, on the other hand, is something he was more than hesitant to use; as Great Gods such as Yahweh and other Chief Gods would attack him as there exist gods of death under them that would in the future rule over the domain of death, him using this skill is like declaring war on the Chief Gods Pantheon, and him not having friends to help in his endeavors is akin to a bird flying over the jaws of death!
Sitting down at the edge of the Divine Realm, the only place he could feel a sense of power empowering him, Dobbins sensed a presence so powerful that he felt he could die in an instant; yet he didn't as there was no hostility from the presence. He was not one to forget the presence of His Majesty Dao, the ruler of worlds.
Dobbins knelt down, placing his right arm against his heart, looking down at the ground, showing his loyalty towards the Lord.
He was still but was not tired, he was evil but was just! He was the embodiment of what darkness should be. Lin Dao muttered inside as he was, even more, pleased with this God of Darkness, it would not be far fetched to say he would be willing to sacrifice one of the Chief Gods for Dobbins, he was far too important to his grand plan, a plan he was building as he stood.
This was not his true body, as his true body was deep asleep inside the core of the Desolate Realm, generating energy to create new lifeforms.
On the Desolate Realm, the goblins had started to reproduce, but at an extremely slow rate, there were barely a million goblins. He knew the reason was because of how powerful he made the goblins in the beginning. This made it so every child they had would be strong, and when their children had kids, the power they would be born with would be thinner, thus making them have more children, but it was a slow process, too slow.
Even though his avatar was at the Peak of Divinity, the Deities of the Divine Realm were too weak to match him even if they work together. The Chief Gods were of similar strength as they were not real Deities grown to such a realm of power, they would be incapable of matching truly strong beings; that's why he was so please with Dobbins, he was the one that would allow his world to be truly be perfected; however this will take an even longer process than everything he had ever done before, but it will have a longer impact.
"Dobbins, I have come as I said I would. I said I will help you create your religion, but I must ask you if you are willing to sacrifice some of your happiness for me? The current state of my creations have been flawed and cannot be completed without help. I could do this myself but what is the point of giving you all life and power if you cannot help me? Of course, I will not request such a thing from you without something in return, I shall give you three Dao Tokens, these Tokens are capable of bending the rules of the World."
•The word World means all world under Lin Dao
Dobbins at this point in time had raised his head, looking at the man in front of him. The man was wearing a white robe with pads of armor plates on his shoulders, his long black hair seemed to fuse with the darkness in the surroundings, and his golden eyes looked back at him, seeming to be looking at his soul, or maybe something even deeper!
Dobbins had not been so close to his Majesty so he was nervous but he was still calm and rational deep inside, even though he knew what was to come, he asked nonetheless" Your Majesty, what do you wish for me exactly?"
Lin Dao didn't immediately answer the question but instead looked at Dobbins, and then at the other side of the Divine Realm where the Deities reside. The place he was at currently was the only place that coincidently hidden from the flames of the sun.
Desolate Realm and the Divine Realm didn't have any suns, yet light shone on them. Of course, the only reason the two realms had light and heat was because of his Law of Star but his Law should have been able to reach this spot too. This was obviously another sign of the uniqueness of Dobbins as his existence changed a part of his laws to darkness, making it a place for him to live.
" Dobbins, I will be honest with you, the mission I plan to give you is something that many will oppose but who am I to care for what people think?" Lin Dao sneered a little, almost chuckling to himself, as he forgot his opponents and targets are not here but in the Great Worlds and the Cultivation World itself. " Earth and Desolate Realm have been too peaceful, no one is seeking to improve anymore as if they are content with where they are at. It's not their place to decide that, but mine, their very meaning in life is to propel the realms to a greater height. The Deities are something my wife basically created excluding the God of Protection Lin Huang, whom I created myself. They are becoming arrogant as they sleep and shit, only occasionally listening to their followers. I wish to put an end to all of that once and for all, you will become the Darkness that Seek to Devour the Light. You will create creatures of darkness that will kill and massacre the living, pushing them to improve, I don't care if they are exterminated if they are, that only means they are too weak in the first place. There are only two things I forbid you from doing. One, you are not allowed to exterminate every one of a specific race, if or reach that point, leave two to start all over again. Two, you are not allowed to encompass the divinity of others, if it's not Darkness." Lin Dao's eyes glowed with a weird glow as he pointed at Dobbins's forehead, " I have imprinted the knowledge of the creatures you are allowed to create, and given you the power to create them. I call this ability ``Darkness Creation."
Dobbins closes his eyes as the knowledge that seems familiar to him flows into his mind, causing him to struggle to recall from where he knows them from. Power also surged into him, causing his weak strength to reach the level of Chief Gods, even a little above them.
As he absorbed the knowledge and looked at the power within him, he knew he was no longer a God, he was something similar but not. He knew of Demons as he could create them but that's not what he is, he is Darkness, Darkness of the Abyss.
Opening his eyes, Dobbins, noticed that his Majesty was no longer around in his place three plain bronze tokens with an eye on it. The eye seemed to move as he looked at it, looking back at him when he focused he noticed it was his imagination playing tricks on him.
Thinking of his course of action, Dobbins decides to mingle in the Divine Realm to see if he could get some beings like him, Deities born as the result of others, to his side. Being in a group would make everything better, but the Deities he would choose are those with the potential to grow and help him.
Above the Divine Realm, inside the Dao Palace, Lin Dao appears spewing blood as he collapses beneath his throne, his eyes struggle with pain as his vision becomes blurry, " Creating Darkness Creation is something beyond the capabilities of an avatar yet I accomplished it. A part of the Law of Creation fuses into it, making the Law of Creation incomplete as of now. However the trade-off is immense, I no longer have to worry about creating unique races as Dobbins is doing that, even if the races will mostly be races of darkness." Lin Dao smiled as his body disintegrated, into particles that fuse into the Dao Palace recuperating.
