But before going to the city she still had to go to the power plant and check it out. Luckily she put the whole protection on the whole water and powerlines and even powerplant and the seaside were protected from the surrounding hell.
Looking at green trees that grew in the surrounding of the sea and huge packs of animals that slept near each other without even attacking The family behind them was astonished. Actually, this place is the only place not even humans could enter. She left it as safe a place for animals that wanted to escape their doom.
The street was fast clear as animals walking heard the sound of cars and escaped in nearby bushes. Trough the bit of light that could be seen through the dust Jenny saw clean seawater and even from far heard the sound of machines. She changed the shield here to protect the water source that came from deep well and that came to the sea as a big stream of water.
The water that left the power plant fell deep won and disappeared into a strange hole that appeared after the earthquake.
No matter looking form left or right side this place looked now like heaven to everyone. The family had for a moment idea to stay here but looking at how Jenny continued to drive straight to a certain point, they didn't dare to ask questions and just followed.
She stopped the vehicle and saw the man coming out.
''We will take a short break here as I need to check some data. You can rest a bit outside but don't touch anything. The animals and plants here are under my protection. I rescued them from extinction and every one of their lives will matter in the future.''
They just nodded and just breathed fresh air. Actually they breathed fresh air as well when they drove but here the smell of plants and water gave a certain taste to it. The small breeze that came through the shield together coupled with fresh smell of water and plants, gave the feeling of refreshment and invigorated them.
''Now I realize how precious our clean air and fresh water was before. Yes. She is right, it is good for them to be safe here.'' The boy looked around and sighed deeply.
''Mother gave this place new name. New Paradise. As you can see it it's huge. And only common arts can survive here. The mutant arts will live outside the shield.'' Jacob took a few snacks out and shared with Kala and children.
''Mutants?'' The man furrowed his eyebrows.
''Yes. Everything will mutate. Plants, insects, animals, even zombies and humans. Some like you and we can live even in such a dangerous storm. We are different than normal humans. Even different that power users. But our duty is to help humans survive.'' Kala spoke while she nibbled on a piece of cookie.
''Did your mother say that?'' The young boy looked at her with interest.
Kala nodded. ''Mom said humans are destructive but she still doesn't wish them to be destroyed. So she will go and save them. That is her wish and her will. Everyone else should do what they want. As long they don't try to destroy her work she doesn't care how people want to continue. You can follow her and save humanity or just stay on spot and waste your gift.''
"Don't talk too much. Mom is coming back, lets go back inside.'' Jacob patted her head and picked her up to help her enter.
The boy looked at the woman that calmly walked from a strange place and entered their car as well. But his father stopped in front of her.
''Yes?'' She was curious about what does he need to ask her now or say.
''We drove for a while so...''
''You want to rest or go the bathroom?''
''We already finished that.'' He pointed at the toilets nearby. ''I need gasoline. Do you know if there is the nearby place...''
''I will give you some. Let me bring a hose.''
She attached her vehicle and his and waited until she saw that his car was full. She closed everything and went in so he had to quickly enter as well and follow.
''Her actions are quick. She has space as it seems. How comes none of us has it?''
''It seems she got a special gift. Tell me, is she stronger than all of us?'' His father had a calm face but cold voice.
''Yes. If you even try something she will be able to destroy us. Even without blinking twice.''
''Save humans? Why save humans? Aren't we stronger than humans?'' The little girl next to him spoke with strength in her tone, like a grown-up.
''We might be, but we still need to survive. We need to eat, to drink, to sleep. Our system is giving us only the ability to attack and protect us from basic things. Her system is much stronger as it seems. You should think this way. We might be stronger. But if we meet a huge zombie raid, we still will die. If not from their bites, definitely from hunger and thirst. These suits protect us only form basic things.''
''What if we take more of black crystals?'' His father asked but the boy shook his head.
''Big brother died because he became greedy for power. It seems that is about it. Our system will protect us well form basic things. We should be grateful to have even this. Normal humans don't have either powers or systems.'' The young boy stopped talking and just closed his eyes.
His parents stopped talking and looked seriously at the ugly vehicle in front of them. At least if they follow this person they might find a safer place. After that... they can make plans.
''Show me a map of W-city and alive humans in it.'' She was talking already to the systems as the next station was W city.
''We are still too far away. When we are in city radius I can show you the alive humans. Old city plan I can show you but I fear now its not the same anymore. New city plan will be given in five minutes and you can compare both plans if you look for certain things.''
''Gass stations, eateries, malls, stores, etc.'' Jenny hoped that at least some of it survived.
''On our way, there are still two gas stations that partially survived. I will be able to get the gasoline from it. We can do it manually with a hose or automatically transported.'' The system offered different options.
''I will tell you when we arrive.''
''One is about two miles up front.'' On her map, there was shown a certain point and so she turned her vehicle right there.
Luckily the station was still practicably whole so she enveloped the whole station and descended from the vehicle. Looking at them she pointed at the gas station store.
''If you want you can take as many things from inside, rest will be raided by me. I will tank my vehicle while you all gather stuff you need.'' She gave them a chance to enter and take whatever they wanted to take.
They came out with carts and started stuffing the back of their car with food and water. They knew she would still give them more things as they paid in advance but having the chance to gather free food, who wouldn't?
She looked at the top of their car and saw carrier and got an idea.
''You can put up boxes filled with things on top of it and bind it tightly. Like that, you can carry more.'' She was in no need to be greedy. It was fine if they take everything they want.
The two people finally relaxed as they saw she had really no greed. They looked at each other and went inside the store. ''Strange, she really has no greed.''
The boy just turned his head and saw Jenny taking a hose and conveniently putting inside one of the gasoline openings. She is not greedy, just trying to survive. And humans can't survive alone. But his parents. They changed after they became a bit more powerful.
Just like a big brother. He realized that he got power form black stones and not only did he try to take it all for himself, but he also took in too much of its power and exploded in front of their own eyes. The greed for power was natural, but when you feel that there is no chance for it, why even trying?
Looking at huge boxes father found and started carrying around while packing everything wildly he shook his head. Somehow he could feel that Jenny would try to make a plan and structure in it. His father even with space would be so messy. And he really hates messy things the most.
