Am I A Robot Now?

With a thought sent towards the menu in front of her Thaliak chooses the planet of Metallurgy as her starting zone, as she consciously makes the decision the menu highlights her choice and suddenly expands into a long list. At the top is a new question, choose your race.

"Why even give me these options? If i wanted to be Human i would have chosen earth instead." Thaliak retorts as she makes the choice to create a Robot character, as the menu changes to show a new screen containing various options to edit her appearance Thaliak is startled by the copy of her changing form.

What used to be a carbon copy of her physical appearance is now a 20 feet tall grey robot, currently detail less the transformed figure is a representation of what Thaliak will look like once the character creation has finished.

"As you may have already guessed this figure in front of you will change appearance as you fiddle around with the various options on the menu in front of you, so give it a go and amuse me with more antics. I am currently devoting 0.1 percent of my total processing power on predicting what your choices will be" The female voice mentions as Thaliak is already looking through the long list that seems almost never ending.

"Why are there so many different options in here, i get that this is meant to be a large game but even choosing a backstory? How would that even benefit my game-play experience, It's just flavor text." Thaliak tilts her head in curiosity as she questions towards what she presumes is the tutorial dedicated AI, maybe she should give this voice a name Thaliak thinks while waiting for Ria to give a response.

"One of the captions that was spread among the marketing for dìon is "Live your second life any way you like", and this was not said without reason. Every living entity is a singular AI on par with myself, each one has lived within a simulated environment programmed to believe they are alive, living their own lives. When your character is created the backstory you choose along with the character you create will be inserted into the AI's shared memory, in other words they will remember the you that exists in dìon. So do not copy some users who have already made the mistake of creating a questionable backstory, 3,472 players are already in jail within the world of dìon, really what motivates someone to choose 'just robbed a bank' as their backstory." Ria responds while shaking her head in disbelief, as she does so Thaliak is unable to stop herself from laughing at the unfortunate stupidity of gamers.

"Ok this should be perfect now, What do you think Ria?" Thaliak asks while staring up at the body she has created over the last 3 hours within this tutorial world.

"You have certainly exceeded my expectations, perhaps only 0.1 percent of my processing power was not enough to predict an outlier such as you. I will in future have to designate at least 0.3 percent of my processing power to calculate the abnormalities you will likely cause, when you create your backstory I wish to install a part of myself as a construct partner to accompany you in your journeys. Ria will be the perfect designation to attach to this offshoot of myself." Ria says in an awestruck tone.

The body which was previously a 20 feet tall grey featureless robot has been completely transformed under the careful visage of Thaliak, now standing close to 25 feet tall the figure has taken on a more slender feminine shape. The face more closely resembles a female mannequin with a higher level of detail, this is the only part of the body that is a light grey color. The rest of the head and body is colored a dark purple, almost black in shade. The head is similar in style to a bat with two long thin points coming up on either side of the face acting as antennas for the robot to communicate over long distances, the front of the head has an attachment sitting on the forehead which looks similar to an old virtual reality headset, this can come down over the eyes and form a targeting visor during battle. Moving down from the head the entire body looks like a human woman but all the places that you would expect curves are instead sharp spikes, with long sharp spikes coming out of the elbow and knee in a menacing fashion. Just below the slightly raised chest on the stomach of the body is what appears to be a large cassette player spanning the entire 5 feet length of the main body and roughly 3 feet in height. The left arm has been replaced by a large particle cannon with multiple cables attaching the gun to several parts of the body. This imposing body is a cross between Thaliak's two favorite characters within the Transformers franchise Shockwave and Soundwave with an obvious twist to be a female version of the two.

"Yes, Yes, Yes! I would love to have you accompany me, you can be my first cassette to join me!" Thaliak enthusiastically replies to Ria as she starts to look through the alternate form choices in search of her desired form, a boom box to match Soundwave's alternate form within the original transformers.

Reaching the bottom of the list of choices Thaliak is unable to find a boom box but instead pauses at one of the final choices, satellite station (this will automatically set the profession, training and backstory sections of the character creation.) Without hesitation she chooses to become a satellite station as her alternate form, causing a chain reaction of events that no one could have predicted.
