Chapter 1, Day in Barrow Lands

It is a cold day in Barrow land, the temperature is about -48°c. The Doormen bar was out of supplies and the customers are furious for not getting alcohol. Bar manager Edward took lead to explain the situation.

Edward: People..people..listen to me, we all know that the temperature is pretty rough for these past few days. Transportation services were held about 4 days ago due to unexpected strom and so we were cut out of supplies. We are trying to contact with neighbouring villages, but no one is responding.

The people among the group started to shout.

Guy1: You promised to give supplies for those who have booked in advance.

Guy2: Cheater..!!!

The rest of them started shouting at Edward. Edward didn't expect the strom and gave a word to everyone that dark winter supplies will be provided by booking in advance.

By the time the mob rounded him, rebecca his wife came to rescue him.

Rebecca: We will make sure that you will get yours by tomorrow. Our son Alden is on his way to get the supplies.

Edward looked at Rebecca surprised. The mob got cleared leaving the couple alone.

Edward: How dare you let him go ?. He is just a kid..

Rebecca: He is no more a kid, he is just alright.

Edward: I won't let you live if any thing happens to him.

Rebecca: What can you do?. Remember this is mine and you have no where to go.

Edward was frustrated for his bootless life. This was not how he was expected to live when he married rebecca. She used to be gentle and kind and he thought she would be a great mother to his infant son. But, by the time he got to know her true color, it is too late.

The sun is about to set and will rise after 103 days. It was raining snow, Alden with all dressed up moving with his minimum supplies to get to the harbor where the loaded ship was yet to come.

Father is the only reason for me to stay with Rebecca. I know what happens if i leave him alone. Even there are many reasons to leave, i will not leave without my father.
