Chapter 183 : [Operation Main (Underground Facility II)]

Upon seeing the chimera that is at the same height as he is and walking out from the shadows, Jinwoo then spent no time for conversation as he wield his iron rod and charged towards the abomination in just a blink of an eye.

Swinging down his iron rod, coupled by his use of his strength enhancement, Jinwoo directly attacked the chimera as a huge shockwave rung out upon collision of such powerful blow. Unfortunately the chimera was able to react and defended itself by raising up its sword and blocked his swing.

When that happened, Jinwoo quickly spun around, as he pulled back his rod and swung it at the chimera's blind spot. However this too proved to be fruitless as the chimera directly jumped into the air, avoiding Jinwoo's swing, before it suing down its sword, which caused the latter  to take the full brunt of its attack and crashed hard to the ground.

Thankfully with the uniform's defensive mechanism for combat, Jinwoo was able to avoid getting slashed in the back, as he only took the brunt force of the chimera's sword. With that he quickly got up from the ground, as he retaliated with a swing aiming for the chimera's head.

In response to that sudden movement, the chimera quickly ducked down to avoid Jinwoo's swing, as it slashed up its sword and forced Jinwoo to once more crash unto the wall and destroy a whole section of it.

While Jinwoo was trying to recover fast, The chimera quickly charged towards him in a few steps, as it raises it sword and slashed it down to the point that Jinwoo reactively blocked the attack using his iron rod.

As Jinwoo was completely pinned to the ground, the chimera then showed a trait of it being a part of a  chaos beast, as its tail appeared behind it, and spikes surrounding the tip of its tail. Using the tail that the chimera subconsciously control, it swung it down towards Jinwoo, causing the person himself to suddenly slide off from that pinned position with brute force, and stared shock at the tail that completely destroyed the platform where his head was previously located.

"Ah shit! Ai! analyze this thing!"

[Ai: "I'm on it! But i don't have any comment for such thing, such chimera is completely different from the other chimera that we have faced... if we have to rank it, this thing might be the strongest chimera we have fought so far"]

"I don't care about its strength! just analyze this thing and tell me if another variable will appear on its body"

[Ai: "I don't  know if i can, after all it seems like this chimera's trait is based on random effect, meaning it will be hard for me to predict its variables involved, but i will still try to do my best"]

As Ai said those words, the chimera quickly caught up towards Jinwoo as it continued its rapid attack, which forced Jinwoo to actually fend for himself, while also delivering counter in every opening. however simply countering proved to be difficult, as the chimera itself often turn around in order to swing its spiked tail towards him.

But despite that Jinwoo was still able to cope with it, by utilizing his experience, and fought an equal ground with such chimera.

Using his iron rod to parry both the chimera's sword and tail, Jinwoo grabbed ahold of the chimera's collar bone, as he yanked it into the air, and smashed it towards the wall of the undergrounds facility, which literally destroyed the walls layering on it.

However after that smash, Jinwoo felt pain on the hand that he used to grab the chimera, as he realized that the chimera itself changed its body structure once more and formed a spike armor  to defend his whole body from any damage. As for the pain he felt, it came from directly at one of the spikes in the armor piercing his hand

But before he could pull out his hand,, the chimera in turn held his injured hand, as he yanked him around the destroyed walls, before throwing him  across the empty hallway.

Slicing off a hard section of the wall, the chimera directly picked it up in one hand, as it charged towards Jinwoo and directly used the chuck of the wall to smash it down towards his head. Unfortunately at this moment, Jinwoo was currently utilizing his strength enhancement even more, as he used his fist to destroy the chuck of the wall, before using his rod to smash it down towards the chimera's helmet, which made it crack from the force of the attack.

As if that wasn't enough Jinwoo directly kicked the chimera away, as he held his iron rod in a swing position, and used his weapon unique trait to extend its reach. Extending the iron rod to about about 30 meters with a thickness of a 20 Mm, coupled with his strength enhancement ability. His swing swept through the huge section of the area, as the chimera got dragged around like a ragdoll.

After Jinwoo made a full swing, he rtarct6ed back the size of his iron rod into a standard unit, as he dashed towards the chimera, with an intent to finish it off quickly. However in that moment Ai then spoke up

[Ai: "Watch out! its beginning to morph something"]

Following Ai's warning, Jinwoo saw the chimera's left hand suddenly grew in size, as it directly used its huge hand to smacked him off the air and smashed him back to the ground.

This time however, the chimera used a trait that belongs to a chaos titan. Using the insurmountable strength of the chaos titan, the chimera then  stood up from the ground as it charged forward with a fist heading towards Jinwoo's direction.

As a response, Jinwoo further enhanced a strengthening energy towards his iron rod, as he used his weapon to counter the incoming attack in a single thrust.

In just a few moments, two attack's collided in midair, as shockwave after shockwave, destroyed the surroundings and decimated the whole playing field.

When the collision ended, all the bones in the chimaera's left hand was destroyed, as it size reverted back to its original appearance. On the other hand, Jinwoo rod begun showing signs of breaking apart

Upon seeing those signs of breaking, Jinwoo then grits his teeth in anger, as he kept the rod back in its small sized sheath and took out a temporary weapon in case, his main weapon was damaged.

In exchange for the rod, Jinwoo took out a tonfa made from the bones of a chaos beast that ravaged the amazon, as he plans to wield it to fight against the chimera.
