Chapter 287: [The 2nd Phase Of War III]

After waking up and seeing the damage on the walls, Jinwoo then spent most of his time finding some survivors like him while also fending off some chaos beings passing through his direction.

With his strength most of the chaos beings passing through the wall are not his match, due to that the constant flow of chaos being entering the breached area of the walk had somehow stopped as Jinwoo killed enemy at a quicker pace.

Thankfully some of the soldiers and agents who he found and rescued under the wreck immediately stood their ground and defended the broken wall with him. Unfortunately their numbers weren't enough as they slowly get pushed back and their stamina rapidly declines.

Due to that, Jinwoo grits his teeth as he quickly made a maneuver before fatigue catches up to him. Gripping his iron rod, he then quickly ran up to the outer wall, as he jumped off the edge and got a clear 180° view of the the monsters climbing the wall itself.

Grabbing the edge of his iron rod as tightly as he can with his Chaos eyes ability of strengthening. He then Shouted a command for his rod to shift its size before swing it towards the enemy on the wall in a full clean sweep.

"Enlarge!!! Extend!!!"

Swinging down a huge pillar with his strength alone, Jinwoo easily squashed the chaos beast climbing up the walls of the city in just one attack.

Unfortunately Jinwoo wasn't quite done yet. Quickly shrinking down his rod and placing it perfectly aligned about 75° along the wall, Jinwoo then propelled himself off towards the air upon issuing one command to his weapon.

"Extend!!!"

Once he was on the air and got closer towards the approaching enemy lines of galapagus and chaos beings, he then raised his rod above his head with both arms and issued another command to shift its size.

"Enlarge!!! Extend!!!"

In that moment a huge thick pillar appeared in thin air , as it shadowed over the wall and almost piercing the sky which somewhat shocked some sky whales traversing the air.

With one shout, Jinwok used all his strength to swing down the iron rod, as it cuts through the clouded sky, swatting down some unexpecting sky whales, before it loomed over a huge portion of the ocean's surface.

In a catastrophic event the huge pillar smashed through the lines of the enemy, as it took down a huge amount of galapagus, shot down a huge amount of sky whales and killing a huge amount of chaos beings. In that event the sky was cut clean, while the ocean surface split apart and revealing the deep underwater surface due to the swings impact.

After doing all that and easing the pressure of the frontline by heavily damaging the army of the enemy's forces, Jinwoo then quickly shrunk down his rod and immediately lunches himself back towards the wall the moment he lands on the waters surface.

Taking advantage at the millisecond moment where he can stand on top of water due to the difference of density, Jinwoo perfectly timed his landing while taking advantage of friction, before launching himself back to the broken wall. With that, it was time for him to deal with the chaos beings inside the wall itself.

During this time Kanzaki together with some soldiers and agents are currently defending the crossroads leading directly to the base with their whole life. Since the road towards the headquarters is connected to three other roadways, they have no choice but to fan out their defense line which affected the overall firepower of the defensive force.

Thankfully Kanzaki was strong enough to defend one roadway on his own with only one sharp shooter occasionally watching close in order to provide backup for Kanzaki whenever he needed it. The sharpshooter itself is none other than Yuti who is currently sniping down enemies from a nearby building using only bow and arrow.

In that moment another wave of monster headed their way towards the crossroad, as chaos beast rushes towards the ground and insect type chaos beast flew down from the air.

While the other defensive lines were going all out with all they got, Kanzaki easily dealt with his side of enemies by swinging his sword(Fafnir) and incinerated all the enemies in one swing of his black flames. As flames coming from the phantasmal dragon are hot enough to melt durable objects

In that regards one of the sky whales circling the sky realized the threat that Kanzaki pose in this war, as it intentionally dived down in between buildings, causing its fins to slice through the buildings glass, with an intent to swallow Kanzaki whole and prevent him from getting further involve in this war.

However Kanzaki simply looked at the approaching sky whales with a look of curiosity, before he sheathed Fafnir and took out the newly made weapon he had acquired in preparation for this war. With that his sword(Bahamut) finally took the stage, as the atmosphere in the air suddenly became heavier the moment the sword was unsheathed.

Standing before the approaching sky whales which was hundred times his size, Kanzaki casually swung his sword(Bahamut), causing the whole world to momentarily lost its sound, before its sword swing easily obliterated the sky whale without much effort.

While carefully managing the strength of his swing in order to not destroy the city, Kanzaki manage to suppress the strength of his sword momentarily and only allowing minimal destruction causing the death of a sky whale and all the chaos beings behind it.

In that moment his street was wiped clean as all the chaos being in the vicinity felt fear from the sword itself. This was the first time such monsters felt fear. After all this was no ordinary fear but rather instinctual fear similar to how a prey view its predator.

In this sense the chaos beings were the prey and Bahamut was the predator. In that moment when Kanzaki sheathed his sword(Bahamut), his chaos ability got triggered, as he saw a vision of Alice being killed by an enemy that looked like human.

The moment he saw the future where Alice died, he quickly contacted Isabelle through his comms and requested to find Alice location. Since he had dealt with his side, he then had enough leeway to save Alice from the future that he had saw.

It was now a race against time and Kanzaki doesn't plan to lose anyone in this war.
