Lisa:
Covering my hands over my eyes as I wept no one wanted me, depression was starting to sit in as I stopped eating, York came to check on me a couple of times throughout the week and when I returned to the place I stayed in my room not talking to anyone. I even stopped asking for the kids, it also hurt to know that Dominik was now refusing to see how I was doing considering that I decided to keep the baby. I still had three weeks left to make my final decision and it was becoming very clear he didn't want this baby and neither did I. I stood up for the first time making my way to the door, swinging it open revealing a very pissed off Dominik, I stumbled back falling to the floor.
"Shit!" I hissed as my ass hit the hard floor.
"Are you okay?" he said as he helped me back into bed
"I don't want to be trapped in this room any longer, Please I want to go home," I snapped, suddenly crying as if my heart had been ripped out, it didn't affect him any and if anything he seemed to be even more upset then me.
"You can't leave, you're in danger!" he stood like a statue with his hands on his hips.
"It's all your fault, I hate you and Denton stay out of my life." yelling on the top of my lungs knowing that he wouldn't dare hit me after the hell I've gone through because he and Denton exposing me to this world.
He didn't say anything as I brushed myself off and left the room. Headed to the kitchen I found all my kids in the same room for once,
"Guys lets go we are going for a drive," I said the kids ushered out the door into the SUV we had. Well damn, that was easy,
"Mom, can we get something to eat?" Axelle said I look through the rear-view mirror seeing them shaking their heads.
"Okay, but only drive-thru guys we have to keep moving," I said, hitting the first drive-thru I saw on the way, hamburgers and fries while I drove. blasting the music to keep the kids awake and content. Levi and Ryder clocked out first about four hours into our ride, I stopped once so far for gas and bathroom break. Axelle demeanor changed the moment we jumped in the car, he was waiting for the right minute to ask questions, like why I was missing for eight weeks, or why was I covered in bruises and bandages. For a twelve-year-old, he's always been ahead of the game on everything.
"You already know my questions, so answer them," he said just above a whisper, and just like that. I know it was coming, I just wasn't ready to explode on my son because of a jerk and asshole. I quietly unloaded my entire head on him, he seemed unfazed as if he already knew everything, and that's exactly what it was.
Just past the state line, I decided to stop at the motel for the night, taking a good thirty minutes to get Levi and Ryder back to sleep, but worth it when Axelle laid down with them.
We spent the next three weeks jumping from motel to motel just praying they wouldn't find us, I dumped the SUV and phones also all our jewelry, call me paranoid but they could have put a tracker in anything. Today I found a house and school for us we are now living in a quiet neighborhood in Ohio, people give me sweet smiles. It's eerie sometimes thinking about it, but the town we are in people don't normally see a single mother of four walking around as the world sat on her shoulders.
"Axelle, Let's go" I shout making sure he was out of bed and ready for the day.
"Okay, Okay," he says running down the steps grabbing his bag and out the door, we went for school,
That was how everything went for the first year I was gone until I gave birth to a girl, it is one thing to be a single mother, I ended up giving her Dominik and Denton's last name sounds odd, Jazabell Ryder, I began working two jobs now, and I believe I have been living the past two years on two hours of sleep.
Screams from Jazabelle pulled me out of my daydream,
"Sweet girl, do you ever eat," I say as I get her out of her chair looking at the chair for of mashed peas and potatoes, what a mess.
"MOM!" I hear Axelle shout as him and his friends come int the kitchen with his siblings. I take a headcount making sure all the kids I have today are presented. Sure, enough they scatter leaving me to clean the mess,
After a long day of babysitting, twenty loads for laundry, two different dinner meals, cleaning three floors and bedtime for four minions that resemble their fathers it was time for me to have a glass of wine and TV.
A tap at the window makes me jump, I grab my gun (something I picked up the first year we were gone) putting it in my waistband, looking out the curtain seeing my friend Pete opening the door saying
"Are you fucking stupid?"
"Maybe sweet thing," He said as he pulled me into a hug, I have kept our friendship strictly friends I don't think I will ever have sex again. We sit drinking and watching movies, he knew almost everything about how I ended up here, but I kept somethings from him like names of the kid's fathers or why I was running in the first place, or even how Ryder's father is Jazabelle's uncle, even thinking about it makes my ego hurt, I start to doze off when he says
"Do you know Dominik Ryder?" my heart drops to my knees how does he know him, I calmly say
"Do you know him?" my heart scatters at his response
"Yeah I do, and I think he's ready to see his daughter," the sinister look in his eyes says everything, I reach for my gun, but it's gone,
"Looking for this," he says to hold it up shooting the TV, I drop to my knees feeling so weak and stupid to trust anyone. Before I could speak or even think the door slowly opens revealing one of the two people I fear most.
"Hello, my sweet Lisa," Dominik says, my eyes follow from his feet up to his soul-piercing green eyes, feeling my soul suck into the netherworld.
I sit frozen in place as Dominik, and York take my children and load them into a van
"Let's go sugar," Pete says grabbing my arm forcing me into a separate car, I look back to see the van drive off panic sat in as they were now out of view, I jumped as I heard and felt the car door slam shut.
"I have given you three years of freedom now it's time to go home," Dominik says as he begins driving. The only thing going through my mind was, what was going to happen to my kids.
"You know how hard it was for me not to come and take my daughter all those times you left her with a sitter, so you could go to work." the rage and anger in his voice scared me, I pulled my legs into my chest being in a car alone only made me more scared.
"Answer me, Lisa" he shouted making me jump, whimper fearing that it was the end for me.
"I don't know what you want me to say" I respond with a calm but fear in my voice, the car came to sudden stop making me slid forward, he jumped into the backseat hovering over me breathing heavy, the sadness and hurt in his eyes. He obviously saw the tears in my eyes when he snaked his hand around the back of my neck crashing our lips and passionate yet painful an unwanted kiss, I whimpered when I felt him bite down on my bottom lip. The taste of the blood as he released me, then it happened all my fear was recognized at that moment, nothing only did he beat me, but he did something else very dirty, he took what little bit of a soul I had left.
"Be a good girl this time and don't run away" I would never forget what he did, and I will never forgive him. When we arrived at the place, he stopped the car at the gate and said
"Tell anyone and you will never see the girl again, do you understand?" he gripped my chin roughly forcing me to look him in the eyes.
I nod my head, getting out of the car trying to keep myself from crumbling, he walked me to my room, telling saying I could see the kids in the morning, so I kept my head down walking into the room falling onto the floor from the pain I didn't notice him knelt down next to me.
"You're lucky I'm not in the mood to go again." he laughed as he left the room his evilness had gotten worse for what reason though. Crawling into the bathroom stripping off my clothes pulling myself up looking into the mirror seeing the bruises, hickeys, and blood, stepping into the shower scrubbing a good five times, the discussing feeling was still there, nothing would change it.
