"Follow them!" A man orders his driver as the black Tesla silently starts up like a stalker by the bright sidewalk, hunting the group amongst broad daylight. They moved up and down the road, barely able to keep up their pace as they head back into the tall tower.
"They returned back into the tower, madam." The men looked at each other, as they shrugged, driving away as they stared at the obnoxiously thick purple van with the yellow plate from the destroyed sector.
"Seriously do they think they can just tail us?"
Leroy scoffed as he drives down into the car park. Thinking that it is just another one of those ruthless jerks on the road. Shane, who turned back stares at the Tesla as it drives off down the road. She recognized as one of the cars parked in the tower. What were they doing following them? Unless...
"Umm Shane are you alright?" Sergio nudges her hips as she turns around, jumping from her seat to her teammates attention, "Yes I'm alright..." she nods as he clumsily steers it into the cluttered car park. Barely scrapping the already broken lip when they first landed there.
"The usual?" Shao Lin heads up to the lift, Maximilian all excited as Derek notices how Shane seemed rather distracted, struggling to get out of the van.
"Probably was their drink..." he thought to himself as he squeezed into the elevator with the rest. Sergio, who was still with her looks into her eyes with concern.
"Just go up first alright..." she shoo her up the lift lobby as she stood at her spot, persistent, "Nah if you want to get into trouble. I must come. Besides it's more fun that way."
Shane who has come back to her senses smiled, "sure, just follow me." With a glee, they head up to the top floor. The family's home. It was a sigh of relief how the family's 'children' were all downstairs working while the hated couple were at a conference in Britain. It should be a breeze.
Heading to the fancy lobby. They quickly ducked as they spotted a large saucer roaming about. A drone with large turrets flying around the stairs. Shane looks at Sergio, who closed her eyes, trying to sense the concrete around. Still distracted by her wet hair.
"Not good. Too many sensors including a laser gate by the doors and that thing." Shane looked at the concerned Sergio as she began to giggle, struggling to laugh like a child as she continued, "I got an idea."
She placed her palms on the floor. Shane peers out the lobby to see concrete seeping from the rock and marble, crushing cameras and breaking the laser gate as the metal pieces fall onto the ground, alerting the saucer like machine. It turns around quickly as it inspects the metal pieces and goopy liquid.
"Shit how do we deal with that thing?" Shane whispered as Sergio, still closing her eyes and sweating hard, tried even harder as she heard a huge crash and a loud clank. She wondered if anyone was downstairs. She quickly moved the large couches and the shelves littering the front of the lift lobby as precaution. With a gesture of hope, they walked into the large house.
Through the dust and goo from concrete, they see the large chandelier crashed on to the drone, its camera crushed and data drives battered by the impact. It's thrusters were still active however, driving itself into the wall before it finally deactivated.
They tuned on their shoe as their modified shoes were switched to become flat footed. Carefully wandering around through the stained carpet and quartz, they spot lots of metal pieces from sensors and cameras scattered all around. Lucky that the servant was not at home. Through the corridors, they head up the stairs into the master bedroom where it was spotless. They wander in as she spots some black goo that trailed to a bookshelf. A secret entrance?
They quickly threw the books out as the bookshelf, dumping it all over the place as it reveals itself to form a hidden room. It looked like a laboratory similar to those abandoned in Sector A except it is in less of disrepair and rather, dirty. In the middle laid a chamber locked in place, similar to the ones down below. As the duo wandered closer into the gooey chamber, they looked up to see data chips and pieces of metal with the labeling, 'DELL'
"Wait what... what is this PC brand doing here?" Sergio questioned. Shane looks around further to see a long cabinet that fills up an entire wall. A chamber filled with secrets, it was mostly empty except for a briefcase and a rather new PC which had a large monitor.
She activated the computer, struggling to find the proper password to it. She looks on infuriated, wishing that Leroy was here. She looked around the bedroom, spotting an old group picture featuring people working with him.
"Family?"
She types it in and was immediately amused to Sergio's uncontrollable giggles. They managed to get in. Now it was time for the prize. She fiddled into the PC even further. Scanning through files to find confidential information, mostly on weird looking projects including a red robotic swan. Such imagination. She shook her head and dwelled deeper into the files, finding a ancient file unopened for over six years. She clicked on it, revealing large documents relating to two laptops, with a rather faded picture lacking paint featuring posters and hallways similar to the place Atsuki was hidden with photos with propaganda posters all around.
"What the fu-" she notices the men gathered around. They recognized the then 'leader' of Oflip with the leader, Kruger in the middle with a compassionate face. Besides him was another old man. She then notices the computers they were holding, a Dell and a Lenevo. She drops the mouse in disbelief. So the rumors were true... then what is his goal even? This weapon should not exist.
Sergio, who also saw the jaw dropping pictures grabbed her by the shoulder and immediately pulled her out of the room as they scrambled out. They didn't have time. Somehow no guards were on their way up as they made their way down the stairs to the lift lobby. Running down the stairwell and closings the door as they heard the lift open.
"What do we do now?" Sergio looks on shocked. Derek's father was not what it seemed. They have just raided his house and are now hunted. She was looking for some trouble, but she did not expect it to be in 'deep shit'.
"We must go." She solemnly answered. As much as she wanted to tell Shao Lin about the updates, they must leave or they will die. Quickly and quietly jumping down the stairs. As they made their way down, panting even harder and sweating just as much, they hear men rushing up. Slowly making their way down.
It felt like eternity to Sergio, she is amazed how after over fifty floors, Shane was still not tired. She may had be underestimated in her field then. With that thought in their head, they finally arrived to the floor they were staying at.
"What a nice steak!" Maximilian and Hanson compliments her as she smiles. She had always been learning from both her parents and other renowned chefs. The old chef books may be old, but their words didn't lie. Especially steak paired with chinese noodles. Her staple of food. Except now it had instant noodles from Korea instead of the usual staple.
Just as she said that, she hears the duo slam through the doorway near the lift lobby. surprising everyone as they ate their meal. Shao Lin and Baku, who was still munching on her steak like a chipmunk, walks around the corridor to see them, all panting and tired as they laid on the floor. Unlike the energetic selfs from earlier. She glances at them furiously, unlike the conduct of individuals of The Light of Men. Or a Super for that matter.
"WHAT DID YOU DO?"
