With the first round over, it was announced that there would be an incredibly short break, a mere five minutes, before the second round would begin.
As there were no crowds which the shinobi had to put up with, they were able to progress with such speed, as the candidates had more than enough time to rest between matches.
The five minutes passed incredibly quickly, a five minutes which Mizuki spent using the washroom quickly before chatting with Anko, who rolled her eyes slightly at his antics.
Anko: "Even if you win here, I'll kick your ass next round"
Mizuki: "Not even a snowball's chance in hell"
The two chuckled at their antics before Anko gave him a light hit on the arm and sent him off, a caring smirk decorating her face.
Doto: "May the next two combatants enter the arena please?"
Mizuki
Mizuki then vaulted over the railing and landed on the stage, comfortably walking forward until he reached his starting position.
Thirty seconds later, and Aoba had done the same, minus the part about having an S tier waifu.
(Anko is an S tier Waifu, and I will fight anybody who says otherwise)
Doto: "Are you both ready?"
Aoba: "Yes sir!"
Mizuki: "Yup."
Doto: "Very well then, let the first match of the second round begin!"
Mizuki was the first to make a move, as he utilized a different strategy compared to last time.
Right away, Mizuki knew that he would limit his arsenal for this match.
He wanted to conceal his ability to swipe chakra a secret, even if Ank knew it, it would still serve as a surprise when he would make it to the finals.
And there would be no way in hell he would be showing off what he had achieved over the past month.
That would serve as a surprise for whoever he would face in the finals.
Mizuki immediately started by casting a series of basic fire style jutsu, all the whilst he forced his opponent on the defensive.
Mizuki: "Katon: Fire Dragon Bombs!"
As Aoba was dodging the streams of flames he tried to counter by swinging his kunai in order to attempt to paralyze him.
Seeing this, Mizuki responded by simply throwing a kunai midair in order to redirect Aoba's whip, which ended up working as it granted an opening which was easy to exploit.
Mizuki used his body flicker jutsu in order to appear next to Aoba, and executed a simple chop to the boy's neck.
However, as he did so, Mizuki quickly realized that he had been duped.
Mizuki: "Substitution, huh?"
Mizuki turned and looked towards where Aoba currently was, on the opposite side of the arena.
The boy was drenched in a cold sweat as he looked towards Mizuki, a slight fear evident in his eyes.
If his instincts didn't flare up on time, he would have lost.
He just got lucky, managing to evade through a fluke alone.
Mizuki let loose a small smile as he looked towards the boy.
Even if he was currently holding back, only showing roughly fifteen percent of his total power, it was still impressive that Aoba was able to evade like that.
Little did he know that it was all just luck on the boy's part.
Aoba: "It appears that I am being forced to use that jutsu."
Aoba: {Damnit, you are forcing me to use the jutsu I was planning to save for the finals.}
As Aoba was grinding his teeth about being forced to use his ace in the hole, Mizuki was completely oblivious to the boy's thoughts.
Had Mizuki heard Aoba's previous thoughts, he most likely would have lost the match due to being to busy laughing hysterically to defend himself.
After all, it would be delusion to think that he could make it into the semifinals, let alone the finals.
Aoba quickly weaved a series of three hand seals before screaming the name of his jutsu, much to Mizuki's irk.
After all, everybody knows that screaming the name of your attack was only allowed if you were relevant to the plot.
And even then, it was spotty at best.
Aoba: Scattering Thousand Crows Technique.
Instantly, in a puff of smoke, a series of crows appeared, who then began to clone themselves as they attempted to swarm Mizuki.
Although, if one was looking closely, they would notice that the smirk had never left his face.
Seeing his inactivity, a light smirk emerged on Aoba's lips.
Even if one were to attack the crows, some of them were a genjutsu, which would cause an opening as the opponent's balance faltered.
Soon, dozens of crows closed in on Mizuki, all intent on ripping him apart.
Aoba: {I...Win!}
However, Aoba's self proposed victory did not last so much as two seconds, as Mizuki was simply waiting for an opportune moment.
As all of the crows tried to attack him en masse, they all ended up being incredibly close to one another in proximity, giving Mizuki the chance to burn them all down with one attack.
Mizuki: {Katon: Great Fireball Jutsu!}
Mizuki purposely deformed the fireball slightly in order to create a sort of flamethrower effect in order to burn down all of the crows.
Genjutsu or not, it did not matter, as the genjutsu dissipation and the summoned crows puffed out of existence in small explosions of white smoke.
The original intent behind Aoba's jutsu is to slowly wear down an opponent as the crows constantly harass them and create an opening for the caster to kill their opponent.
Unfortunately though, as a 12 year old child at heart, Aoba was not intelligent nor experienced enough to use the jutsu for it's intended strategic purposes, causing a disastrous loss for him.
Seeing his opportunity, Mizuki used a body flicker again, accept this time slightly faster in order to appear behind Aoba.
The problem, is that "slightly faster" for Mizuki meant him getting a serious speed increase by the standards of some of the others there.
Years of training with Shisui had allowed him to become intimately familiar with the jutsu.
Even if he was not as skilled in the usage of the technique as the legendary teleporter, he was still miles ahead of the vast majority of people with it.
*Chop*
And so, like the protagonist he is, Mizuki ended the fight with the classic basic neck chop.
A move which he had become so familiar with, he became tempted to make his own taijutsu style based on it.
Doto: "The winner for the First Match of the Second Round is Mizuki"
. . . . .
A/N: The Taijutsu Style called Thot Slayer. It allows for its user to have access to a series of slaps and chops in order to incapacitate, or otherwise dissuade thots from approaching them.
Upon opening the eighth gate, the user gains access to a single technique.
The begone yeet.
It allows the user to yeet a thot away from them and onto the next subcontinent in order to defend themselves.
Thanks for listening to my TedTalk
This jutsu rivals the thousand years of death, and is powerful enough to even destroy twitch thots, making it's power easily surpass that of the eight gates.
A/N 2: Ok, I'm gonna end this now, I'm having way to much fun with this lol.
