Everybody Retreats, and a Visit

Julius, the manager of the Rome Continental Hotel, walked over in his usual black suit and white scarf.

But this time, he didn't go forward to shake hands. He simply stood two meters away with a complicated expression, clearly keeping his distance from the Boogeyman.

It wasn't that he was afraid of being killed, but that he didn't want other people to think that he was that close to the Boogeyman.

Luke ignored it.

This was just a normal reaction.

If Julius did draw closer, Luke would suspect that it was a trap.

He turned around. "Is the room ready?"

The girl glanced at her boss and respectfully gave him a room card. "Yes, the room is in the west wing and on the top floor."

Luke took the room card and nodded at Julius before he left.

After Luke disappeared into the elevator, the receptionist asked in a low voice, "Should we inform the higher-ups?"
