Jian Sangyu and Gu Chen are married because of a business alliance, but they are not specially in love with each other. Jian Sangyu considers Gu Chen as an old-fashioned man who is boring and intimidating, but Gu Chen, who is a chief at the most important guardian team in the country stays faithful to his wife and finds himself a very qualified husband. 
One day, an unexpected earthquake happens, and the couple finds themselves trapped under the rubble. Gu Chen protects Jian Sangyu with his own body, yet both of them die because of the delayed rescue. 
However, Jian Sangyu is reborn and returns to the year before the earthquake. Although she is still married to Gu Chen, Jian Sangyu decides to do something different with her life by becoming a famous movie star so as to live independently, totally away from Gu Chen.
What she has not expected is that her relationship with Gu Chen changes with her second chance at life. Real love begins to bud between them and Jian Sangyu, who has always wanted to divorce Gu Chen, gradually finds herself attached to this man whilst Gu Chen soon realizes that this lovely young wife of his needs more than a loyal husband, but someone who truly cares and loves her with all of his heart.

Gu Chen threw a light look at the arrogant woman in the blanket and turned to the bathroom. Soon, the room was filled with the noise of loud splashing.

Jian Sangyu tried hard to get rid of the blanket. Having tossed within the blanket, she became so sweaty and red in the face, it looked like she had just finished doing exercise.

She lay down and leaned on her side like a princess, observing the glass door of the bathroom. Then she couldn't help but think of the way that Gu Chen was showering.

Gu Chen was a Guardian, and he had been training with his grandfather since he was little. Jian Sangyu didn't have to touch him, for she could feel his body when they were doing the most intimate thing between a couple.

A man who had just showered a minute ago again went to shower after a few minutes. He had every reason to, when he could not use her to satisfy himself.

When Gu Chen came out again, Jian Sangyu sneered at Gu Chen. She was just about to say something in a loud voice when Gu Chen gave her a killing look, shutting her up immediately. Then she went back to her spot in bed and closed her eyes.

It was the most comfortable sleep she had had after marrying Gu Chen for so long. After teasing Gu Chen before she fell asleep, she even had a dream about Gu Chen's awkward expression in her dream. What she had not known, probably, was that she even burst out laughing during her sleep, which woke up Gu Chen by her side; so much so, that he stared at her for a very long time.

Because of the rearranged schedule for the past two months, Jian Sangyu automatically woke up at 5:30 every morning, because that was the time for her to wake up at the classes. At 5:50, she was supposed to exercise for forty-minutes before heading to the breakfast.

The dawn had just broken at 5:30 in the early autumn. When Jian Sangyu opened her eyes, she found that Gu Chen was already gone. Jian Sangyu thought for a while, tiptoed out of the bed and groped for the door of the bedroom like a thief. She was just about to crane her neck out the door to see if Gu Chen was already dressed, ready to go back for the team when she ran into a wall. That was such a strong wall that Jian Sangyu almost fell backwards.

That was a wall of human flesh, a wall of Gu Chen.

Jian Sangyu massaged her forehead and threw a look at the clothes on Gu Chen. Startled, she found that he was dressed in jogging sportswear. It seemed that he was just about to go down for a run in the compound.

"What is it?" Gu Chen looked at Jian Sangyu who was stealing looks at him. What was she sneaking around so early in the morning?

"Are you going back to the team after jogging?" Jian Sangyu asked in a trying tone.

Usually, Gu Chen only stayed at home for one day before heading directly back to the team without breakfast. He never missed the morning training of his team.

But it seemed that he was about to go running first before heading back to the team?

Despite Jian Sangyu's pretentious look, Gu Chen knew pretty well why she was asking him this question.

"You want me to go back as early as possible?" Gu Chen asked.

Actually, she had the answer written all over her face. However much she tried to deny it, she was still seen through by him.

Gu Chen, who had thought of her hastiness of letting him go back to the team, somehow didn't want to satisfy her at all.
