Watching the new scales slowly emerging again on his skin after the previous ones had fallen off, Zhou Bai felt a tingling sensation on his scalp and wished he could immediately throw away the Dao scriptures and stop everything that was happening in front of him.
He continued to persevere, watching as his skin kept shedding and new layers of scales, becoming darker and harder, similar to fish scales.
But the disgust and distortion in his heart were gradually diminishing.
"I seem to be getting used to it?"
Zhou Bai curved the corners of his mouth upwards and continued reading the Dao scriptures.
He immediately discovered that his heart was continuously adapting to the fish scales on his body, even beginning to slightly appreciate them.
"Actually, if you look closely, it's not bad."
"The fish scales don't actually look that bad."
As this thought crossed Zhou Bai's mind, the fish scales all over his body seemed to tremble slightly, emitting bursts of light.
