Awakened. Trent was in a dark place. It was pitch black everywhere he turned. He tried standing, but the floor beneath him disappeared. He fell down down down down. Not knowing where he will land, he fell until. Sploosh. He fell into water. Trent clawed his way to the surface. He checked his surroundings and found that he was in a bowl. Surrounding him seemed to be silhouettes of mountains and far along near one of the shores, an island! He swam towards it, but he couldnt get very far, for he realized that he was being pulled by vines that wrapped his legs.
He tried his best to fight it, but it was no use, he was pulled under the water. Struggling to breathe, he realized that it was fine. He could breathe clearly. It became dark.
Sploosh, he was out, he found himself in a dark room, tied with Emily on the opposite side of him. He tried struggling to get loose, but it was no use, the vines were too tight and plus he could not summon his weapon. Emily seemed to be asleep, so he tried waking her up: "psst, Emily! It's me! Emily?"
She did not wake up. She was tangled in the same vines that held Trent.
"Find the blood," said a faint voice from a distance.
"What? Who is there?" Trent called to the voice.
It was a women's voice. It called to him but it was faint.
"Find the blood...," it repeated.
"The blood?" Trent repeated.
Then, flip. The room felt like it was spinning, as though the whole room suddenly turned upside down. The vines let go of him as he grasped onto the vines, not wanting to plummet into the dark black water. The vines then slipped from his hands as he fell backward into the water. In the water, it felt like something was pushing him out. He fell out of the bowl as he watched it disappear in the pitch-black distance. Then, light.
Trent woke to find that he was tied to the mast of Abel's giant ship. He struggled, but no use.
"Damn," Trent said under his breath.
He relaxed himself and thought about that dream. It felt so real. It was unlike any dream that he has had before. He sighed to himself and struggled again. All of a sudden, Boom! Captain Abel jumped down off the mast and landed in front of Trent.
"Awake so soon?" Abel asked in a chuckle.
"Let me out of here, asshole!," Trent shouted.
"Leaf blades er always so trustworthy, aren't they, matey?" Abel said walking up to Trent.
Trent could smell the disgusting rot in his breath and saw his horrible teeth from behind his beard. His breath reeked of smoke and his teeth were yellow and all over the place. Abel smiled a toothy grin.
"Ye will get my Lilith back ar I'll skewer you and cook ye with the fishes," Abel said summoning his blade and stabbing it through the mask right past Trent's head. Trent was shocked that he did this and flinched.
"Who is Lilith...?," Trent asked.
Abel dispersed his sword and sat on the deck. The ship swayed as he sat.
"My Lilith...she is jewel of the sea," Abel said.
"A girl...?,"
"No, boy...A jewel...," Abel said subtly.
"A jewel...?" Trent asked.
Abel sighed and spoke: " a blue jewel, as blue as the ocean, As dark as the deepest abyss, and as beautiful as lady luck, herself...they call her Lilith du Supreme. Worn by the late Lilith, a wind blade from after the main land spirit wars. I would always marvel at her beauty. When she asked me, of all people, to take her across this blue sea to see the new Bay City, I was thrilled. I was more than thrilled, I was ecstatic. I agreed right then and there. We were to waste no time....three people came that day. Her, her mother...and her soon to be groom...Ay I hated him. With a burning passion, I did...He was going to take my Lilith from me? No. He had to be dealt with...but not the way that happened. A haunting...,"
"A ghost?" Trent asked.
"Ay. A ghost was that cursed our ship. A spirit that couldn't be destroyed and manifested itself in the ocean. It destroyed everything I had that day. Her other had died and her essence fading...she took what essence she had and placed it into her jewel. A jewel that I swore to protect with my life...until that leviathan attacked me. I dropped the jewel into the ocean and that...that thing took it. I tried to get it back, but...I couldn't trust anyone...not even my own crew...," Abel answered.
Trent sighed in anger.
"Alright, fine. I'll help you defeat the leviathan, but you must take me to the foreign shore," Trent said.
"Ay, a captain always keeps his word," Abel said with a smile.
