Sophistry is the Answer

Shaking his head firmly, Lucas resisted the temptation of the situation and replied as he walked away from the little devil.

"I like privacy, and this situation is wrong. They put us here as if they expected us to just do it, like we were animals in heat put together to make offspring."

Listening to Lucas's argument, Violette felt that the situation seemed much less attractive. In fact, if they were to start having sex in this situation, it would be as if they were animals unable to control their animal instincts.

Although she was still sexually aroused, she quickly calmed down and actually became a little angry.

"Aunt Thabata, how about we talk instead?"

While looking around since she didn't know where the cameras were, Violette called the woman who was currently seeing and hearing everything that was happening in the room next door. With a smile on her face, Thabata got up from the chair and headed to the room.

Before she could knock on the door, Violette opened it and found the woman at the door. Surprised, she asked.

"Were you nearby?"

With a smile, Thabata entered the room while speaking.

"The camera room is in the next room."

After observing Violette for a second, she turned to Lucas and her smile grew.

"I didn't expect that not only would you notice the details of the room quickly, but also that you could hold onto your libido, I'm impressed."

Sitting on one of the sofas, Thabata asked the two to sit down and continued.

"This place is used for various things, including situations like this."

Sitting on the sofa, Violette crossed her arms and legs and asked.

"What situation are we in?"

While mainly observing Lucas, Thabata explained:

"Everything I do here is theories created by me. In this building, I have various diagnostic tools for sexual and emotional problems. One of these tools is this room, which has multiple uses. I only used it to test the compatibility of you two. You told me a bit about your problem and I wanted to understand, through this test, if you could resist the urge to do it in this room designed for such activities."

"What kind of test is this? What does our ability to resist the urge have to do with anything?"

With Lucas silent, Violette was the one asking the questions. After finding out she almost fell for this woman's trick, she felt uncomfortable with the situation. This felt more like a trap than a test.

"From what you explained to me, Violette, you two, like any other young couple, are going through a phase of uncontrolled passion. I just wanted to know to what extent this passion has reached. From what I noticed, he has much more self-control than you."

Huffing in dissatisfaction, Violette asked:

"What if we started having sex here? What does that mean?"

Giving a small laugh, Thabata humorously explained:

"Nothing. It's normal for young people of your age to do things like that. I would just evaluate, through the video, your problem. After you're done, I would knock on the door asking for permission to enter, and then we could discuss the problem and how to solve it."

Looking even more dissatisfied, Violette responded in a slightly louder voice.

"But aren't we supposed to know what you're doing? I thought these issues needed trust between the counselor and the patients."

Shrugging, Thabata explained with a smile.

"Maybe, but it was just an idea. First of all, even though I say it would be normal if you just started having sex, most people wouldn't even consider the possibility. After all, you were in a situation where you were waiting for my arrival. I could arrive at any moment. Even if a couple realized they could lock the door from the inside, do you think any normal person would decide to have sex just because of that?"

Violette's impulse, which seemed to increase gradually with each word she spoke, almost completely disappeared when she realized the crux of the matter. In fact, if you analyze the situation, 99% of people wouldn't even think about having sex, but not only did she think about it, she almost fell into the trap, if it wasn't for Lucas.

Since they didn't do it, there was no problem, and no one was harmed in any way, that's what she was saying.

"I'm just saying that it's normal if you took that irresponsible attitude because it's actually within the behavioral standards of teenagers who have just discovered sex. But the situation in particular would prevent most people with common sense from even considering that possibility."

Violette felt dissatisfied hearing this. She felt that there was something wrong with Thabata's logic, but couldn't explain what. Giving up on the subject, she decided to move on with the meeting.

"So, what did we come here to do?"

Adjusting herself in the chair, Thabata cleared her throat for a second and made the proposal that was on her mind.

"How about I give you a room to..."

"No!"

Before she could finish her proposal, Violette was already denying, guessing what she wanted to say.

"Why do I feel like you want to have a video of us?"

Knowing that this topic was delicate, Thabata thought for a second and chose her words carefully to explain her point of view.

"As your problem is sexual, I need to have material to analyze."

"You speak as if it were a blood test."

Normally, Violette wouldn't be against this type of approach. She doesn't mind having a video filmed as long as only people she agrees with can watch. Since she knows Thabata is a professional, she wouldn't mind letting her watch, but something in the situation is bothering her.

"Well, if you're against it, we can proceed with just what you tell me, but it will be less accurate."

Violette didn't say anything and remained silent. Lucas decided to speak up at this point.

"Do you usually collect videos from your patients?"

"Well, yes, it's part of my job. But don't worry, the video content is always properly protected, so much so that no video has ever leaked, if that's your concern."

Thabata seemed very calm and professional even when talking about sex videos of her patients. Lucas thought it was her way of making the conversation less awkward.

"I don't have a concern about that since I don't agree with the method. I think it's very dangerous for a video like this to be kept within reach of people I don't know or trust."

Violette nodded in agreement. Although she trusted Thabata, there was no way to know if this video would end up in the hands of someone with ill intentions. It's very dangerous. On the other hand, she agrees that it would be more efficient for diagnosing sexual problems if there was a video for analysis.

"Well, I can only say that it's quite safe, but if you don't trust me, the most I can do is describe our security measures, but something tells me you're not interested in that so let's move on from this subject."

After a brief pause, she continued with her agenda.

"So, I heard from Violette about your problem, but something tells me you have a slightly different view of the situation, could you explain your perspective?"

"There's not much to say, I find it strange that we're here in the first place. I met Violette less than a week ago, we had sex right after we met, which is not normal. For some reason, she's obsessed with maintaining a relationship with me, which..."

Interrupting Lucas' explanation, Violette quickly cut him off.

"What do you mean 'obsessed'? I just think that since we have such good compatibility, it would be a shame to give up at the first problem that comes up."

Looking at the teenager who looked like a cat that had its tail stepped on, Lucas shook his head and replied.

"Look where we are Violette. I bet most people who are looking for someone like Thabata are couples who are engaged or married. A small minority must be dating. Am I right?"

Directing the question to Thabata, she responded professionally.

"In fact, if we look at the statistics, most of my clients are married, with a portion being engaged. Few people who are dating seek our services."

Pausing for a moment, she noticed that Violette was about to say something and continued.

"But that doesn't mean much for the current situation. The job of my company is to help with sexual problems that people have. I've had cases of people who aren't even dating, or people who cheat on their spouses. So, it's not like this would prevent me from being able to solve your problem."

Nodding in agreement, he explained his point of view.

"I know, what I want to point out here is that it's not normal for us, with the short and shallow relationship we have, to seek your help. To begin with, we don't have sex often, so it's difficult to know if the 'problem' we came to discuss is actually a problem or just something spontaneous that may never happen again."

However, his logic was flawed, and Violette instantly realized it.

"Then why did you want us to never speak again? If you don't even know if this problem is actually a problem, I don't understand why you were so extreme in deciding that."

Thabata was 100% focused on the conversation. She was thinking about how the conversation was filling in some blanks she had before. Lucas's attitude of wanting to end any relationship that could result so quickly and decisively at the slightest sign of a problem, and Violette's attitude of wanting to seek her out to resolve it.

From Lucas' perspective, it was very strange, especially with him pointing out this fact himself, showing that he was aware of it. On the other hand, Violette didn't want the relationship to end and was willing to seek help from a professional, and not just any professional, but someone who had watched her grow up, her mother's best friend, someone she called "aunt."

Lucas had no way of honestly answering her question. He couldn't explain his current situation.

As the Successor of the God of Love, Lucas had acquired a predisposition for love. This predisposition was difficult to explain, and he himself didn't understand how it works.

A simple way to explain it is that when he acquired the right to be the Successor of the God of Love, something inside him changed, as if a seed had been planted.

Because of this seed, he was sensitive to everything about love in every sense of the word. So, for example, if one day he loves someone, he will love that person for life. This feeling will also not diminish, and will only increase the more time he spends with the person.

Because of this predisposition, he decided to end his relationship with Violette. The longer he spends with her, the greater his chance of developing feelings of love for her. If that happens, even if he wants to break up with her, he won't. Even if she breaks up with him, he will do everything to win her back.

Therefore, the longer their relationship continues, the greater the chance of reaching an irreversible situation, and that's why he decided it wasn't worth it and wanted to end it.

He only agreed to meet with Thabata because he found her reaction interesting. He didn't expect her to decide to go with him to talk to someone who was an expert on the subject to solve this problem, especially someone she knew and called "aunt."

Being as proud as she is, he was really surprised by her reaction, and that's why he decided to give it a chance.

Unable to explain all of this to her, he remained silent for a few seconds, thinking about what to say.

"Everything that starts wrong, ends wrong, so it's better not to start."

Sophistry is the right answer after all.
