Cocoyashi Village

A month later

Now that its been a month since Cer was training and fighting beasts in the island. Many thing changed to him, and one of that is his physical appearance. He grew several inches this month and his body becomes fit and muscular. His hair grew long and reached to the back of his shoulder. And his eyes were like the eyes of a seasoned warrior. The previous innocence and naivety was now gone, he was now basically a new person compared to before.

"I guess its time to leave this island and explore this new world" walking to the shore of the island was Cer wearing only a black pants that's made up of beast skin. His voice contained some excitement in them as he knew that he was now going out of this island.

Looking around him, a smile grew from his face as he remembered what happened in this island in this past month. As the first place he had been since he was transported into this world. He grew quite attached to the island. However, as his aim was to be a pirate and explore this world he knew what he should do.

"Captain!"

A shout came from afar and Sid appeared running towards him. This month that he had been staying in the island. Sid also stayed with him taking different herbs and sometimes helping him. When he mentioned that he wanted to become a pirate, Sid immediately offer to join him which Cer immediately agree.

With his forehead covered in sweat, Sid said with a clear joy in his face, "Captain, our ship was already prepared. The pirate ship that we got weeks ago was now ready to use. While I'm not a shipwright, I can still do some changes to the ship"

"Good, now that everything is prepared, lets quickly sail to the seas. The things happening outside this island, I wanted to see them" after saying that he said to Sid, "Lets go"

"Yes, captain!" Sid loudly shout.

"How many time should I tell you that you can just call me by my name" the two laugh together as they went to go to their ship.

In the wide sea of the East Blue, a single pirate ship was slowly sailing alone. The black pirate flag was fluttering in the wind revealing three dog head side by side, with a cross bone at its back. This was the Cerberus Pirates that Cer just created.

Cer and Sid was lying down under the hot sun as their ship slowly moves forward. In his hands, Cer was holding a wanted poster. It was the wanted poster of Arlong from the Arlong Pirates. Knowing that Arlong is still in East Blue, Cer realized that Luffy still hasn't defeated him. Cer thought this was great as Arlong was a well known pirate in the East Blue and him defeating Arlong and his pirate crew will make him known in this area of the sea.

Days later

After travelling for several days not encountering anything in the sea, Cer and Sid finally arrived at the Cocomi Islands. This place is the base of operations of the Arlong Pirates, the Arlong Park.

Cer and Sid docked the ship in a relatively remote area of the island before going down the ship.

"Sid, you said that the Arlong Pirates have many members. I believe that with my strength and devil fruit powers I can fight and defeat Arlong easily. What I'm worried about is what would happen if some of the Arlong Pirates targets you. You didn't have any fighting experience, what would you do?" Cer asked as they walked with Sid on the lead.

Hearing Cer's words, a hearty laugh escapes from Sid's mouth and he said, "Captain, you underestimate me too much. You don't know this but when you said that you will take me as part of your pirate crew I started to practice fighting. I might not be able to defeat strong people like Arlong, but I'm confident that I can defeat ordinary members of his pirate crew easily. So you don't have to worry about me"

When the two finally entered the Cocoyashi Village, many villagers were giving them a weird look in their eyes. They were all curious on who this two people are and where did they come from.

Looking around him, Cer spotted that at the corner of his eyes, there was a young woman with a light blue hair and tanned skin. Just this casual look from him, he already knew who the young woman was. It was Nojiko, the owner of the tangerine farm and the adoptive older sister of Nami.

This time, Nojiko seems to noticed that someone was staring at her. When she turned her head, she saw a young man staring at her. She was curious on why the young man was staring at her, so she shouted, "This is the first time I've seen you here, you are not a people on this area right?"

Cer didn't expect that Nojiko would suddenly ask him so he stopped and answer, "Just like what you've said, I am not from this area. Me and my friend here just came here to do some business"

Nojiko glance at Sid at the side and was confused on what might their business is, "Could you tell me what is this business you're talking about. As a resident on this village, I can help you"

"The Arlong Pirates" Cer said.

Hearing the words that Cer just said, Nojiko's expression turned serious and asked, "What do you mean by saying that, what business do you have with the Arlong Pirates"

Nojiko didn't seemed to noticed that her voice was quite loud and sounded angry. The people around all turned towards them when they heard Nojiko mentioning the Arlong Pirates. The people of the village were all scared of Arlong and his pirates. For them, they were all ruthless and bloodthirsty pirates that could kill on a whim.

Feeling the questioning gazes from Nojiko and the people around him, Cer explained, "You're misunderstanding something here. We're just here to take Arlong's head and make a name for myself"

"What!" an exclaimed suddenly sounded and a man wearing a police uniform walks forward with a pinwheel on his hat. It was Genzo, the sheriff of the police force of the Cocoyashi Village.

Ignoring Genzo, Nojiko quickly said with worries on her voice, "You just said that you wanted to take Arlong's head right? Please discard this idea, Arlong and his crew were not humans. And they were really powerful individuals. Fighting against them will only result to your death. Don't just casually make decisions that will make you lose your life"

The people around all nodded their heads agreeing to what Nojiko just said. They all knew how powerful Arlong and his crew was. And they all witness it in front of their eyes, on how Arlong and his crew killed their villagers.

"The moment I decided to become a pirate, I also accepted the fact that there is a chance of me dying while doing this. But that doesn't mean that I will be scared and stop being a pirate. On the other hand I embrace it fully, only by knowing that you might die will only makes your will to survive stronger. And with that, you yourself will also continue to become stronger" Cer stopped and his lips curved into a confident smile and continue while looking at Nojiko, "There are many strong individuals in this world, and I can certainly tell you that Arlong is not one of them"

After saying that, Cer walks away with Sid. He was not acting arrogant with his words. He was just confident with his strength.
