Now, It is unrequited love
We always thought of Love as a mutual feeling but sometime you can feel love even it is one-sided,
That is what Ayi is currently dealing with. In the past years she always fell in love with guys because of their physical appearance but now, she realized that love can grow through time and being with the person you like.
"Why does people fall out of love while here I am, falling in love?"
"Why can't he like me? Am I that ugly or unlikable or do I have attitude problem?"
"At are the reasons why a person can't love you back? Is my reasons of loving him are enough?"
These are the questions running in her head while starring on her coffee.
Little did she know, someone in the coffee shop is looking and worried about her the whole time.
Without making up her mind, Ayi straightly drank her coffee and eventually stood-up and left the coffee shop. Her mind is full of questions thus she never noticed anyone passing her or even the place she's walking to.
"Maybe crying would ease these unknown pain, but tears wont fall of my eyes."
As she keeps on walking, she didn't noticed that she was now at the intersection and the pedestrian stoplight across her turned to red then she was about to get hit by a car, suddenly someone grab her arms then pulled her backwards up to the street gutter. All of a sudden, her consciousness returned and felt palpitation in her heart afterwards, she turned her head it was Jero behind him.
She saw Jero wasn't looking at her, He was seriously looking at the road and while both of his hands are holding her arms. After the light turned green, Jero assisted her crossing the road.
"Ayi, are you alright? this is not the way to your house, right?" He asked
"Ahmm... I'm just hungry. I'm searching for a nice place to eat. Wanna join me?" she responded with a shaking voice and hoping for a positive answer.
"Nah, next time! I still have some errands to do but good thing I was able to pull you awhile ago haha."
Ayi simply bow her head and responded not looking at him. "Ohh I see. Thanks by the way."
"Just head towards there and you'll find a food lane there are viriety of food to choose from. Unfortunately, I cannot assist you anymore tonight so take care. Gotta go and see you tomorrow!" then Jero waved goodbye and walking away from her while she was standing still, holding her shoulder bag tightly until he disappeared to her sight.
At that moment, Ayi realized that, there is no mystery behind Jero's mask, its just that he doesn't feel anything for her at all. That's why he can still act like nothing happened between them two days ago. Acceptance is the hardest step in-moving on but once the process was made, the action will be on its way.
