The tears and blood of my people cried out to me from the vision. I saw the crests of Nambai upon the soldiers and the face of their leader. Marsau the king's personal hound. The face of death was upon them. I leapt from the vision startling mother and forcing my spirit back into my body.
"Mother what can we do? Is there time to get to the mountains. We must gather the scrolls and sacred texts. We must protect the children." I turned to run from the abode but the colorful silk fabrics held my body in place. I turned back to mother and watch the tears flow.
"Sia, the only way to save them is to give yourself. When the demon comes for you then you must go with the dignity and grace befitting a goddess."
Mother's words were choked and broken with an unrecognizable pain. Her normally beautiful voice was distorted and I had never seen her so distraught. Her words fell on my ears but I could not understand them.
"Dear Goddess please bestow upon me the wisdom that you see." I bowed and showed her the customary courtesies hoping that it would pull her together. I gathered my fingers together connecting my thumb and middle finger and placing them at my source of wisdom. My golden braids fell forward and covered my face as a deepened my bow.
" Goddess of sight and wisdom please reveal what I cannot but must see."
The beads around my neck began to lift and mother's hands rested on my shoulder. The pain began again.
Mother's voice coaxed me into the vision "I see you my child. I love you my child. My goddess. Our Savior."
Darkness encompassed me and the silk clothes caressed my skin before enveloping me in its tight grip.
