Chapter 12: Awakened Beast

「 ROAAARRR!!! 」

Losing my composure, I unleashed my fire-breath attack towards her, I'm pretty sure that I don't need to use my full strength against this one, I don't want to waste any more magic power from an insect...

However, before she was caught by my sudden attack, her image instantly disappeared like a bubble.....

A regular adventurer wouldn't even have the chance to move their feets before that fire can caught up them...

Yet, this one evaded it as if it were a pebbles thrown at her...

I admit it, that's not just an insect, 

"That's an enemy"

That said, although there's a chance that she's a Named-one " Pure-blooded Vampire" , I'm not saying that she has a chance to win against me...

What a waste for her to die, she has a potential to grow...

Nevermind. In the first place, it's her fault for disturbing me and attempting to steal the one I'm guarding at, there's no way that I can let it " Okay, you may go" just like that...

Let's see, Half? No, I guess 10 percent of my strength is sufficient to erase her existence....

Okay, Now lets begin....

 I unleashed my "BloodLust"....which is enough to make my foes gravel before me....

The whole place got enveloped by a black Aura coming from every inch of my body...

A demonic-aura that can make a normal adventurer pissed their pants,...

Yet—this little girl isn't showing a bit change of her expression...is she that scared that her feet refused to move?....or—

No,no,no...'I have a hunch, I hope I'm wrong...'

 I launched my right hand attempting to grab her small body...and slowly squeeze her to death after that...which is my plan...

However, she easily avoided it....

I'm obviously expecting that to happen...

Therefore, without giving her a chance to react, I loosed my『 Dark Flame』which the speed is doubled compared from my previous attack....

Still, she managed to elude it like she calculated it from the start....which surprised me further....

What's more, even in this kind of situation,

her face refused to show any kind of changes...and uphold her serenity, giving me the feeling like she's mocking me, 

'Oi,oi....you're not thinking that this is all I've got, are you!? just you wait, I'll carve into your soul what does despair really means'

For the past moment, I've been intentionally repeating the way I attack her and cautiously waiting for the right time..the moment when she let her guard down....

And then, it went according to my plan...

I purposely attacked her in a way that she can evade it with ease.....

And this is where the actual plan begins....

Enchancing my fire-breath attack at my utmost, I launched it towards her exact direction after circumventing my previous attack....

With an speed as lightning, no one can evade with that kind of attack in mid-air especially when your attention is focused on something else...

But there's something that bothers me, before my attack of black fire coiled around her, she threw away the doll she's carrying all this time to avoid it being consumed by fire together with her...

If I recall correctly, everytime she  dodge my attack earlier, she prioritized her doll rather than herself....

'Is there something special about that doll that even on the brink of death, she managed to prevent it getting a single scratch?'

The black fire covered her entire body and currently devouring her, it won't be too long untill she turned into nothing...

With that kind of flame?? what a joke if anyone 

think she'll survive...

For the meantime, I used『 Spatial Magic 』, to get and examine the doll, I'm a bit curious about it...

I transport it in front of me....

While hardly peering at the doll, I can't sense anything from it, even after using 『 Magic Perception 』there's no variation at all....

'Means that this is nothing but a mere doll? what a letdown,'

By the time this things coursed over my head,

the blazing fire started to dwindling.....and what my eyes met was the opposite of what should've happen...

The figure of a child that was supposed to be ashes by now, emerged from the fire like nothing happened....which made me stop dead in my tracks for a few seconds.....

Is this some kind of joke!?.....

That black-fire which cloaked her whole body just now can melt even a well-made armor of adventurers...

Yet this child!? she received the aforesaid fire head to head and survived completely unscathed?....

My『 Dark Flame』that even a " High Class Magic Barrier " is useless against it!? Are you telling me that this little vampire outclassed one of my best abilities before my eyes!!??

'Wait, what am I thinking?!!!.…..'

I snapped my tails on the ground out of annoyance...

What a disgrace losing my self-control like that....so what if she survived that attack...???

It doesn't mean that she's superior to me...

even in a million years,, there's no way that a mere vampire can defeat me!!! 

She just survived that attack, that's all!!!

How can she defeat me, if the only thing she can do is to run!?...

"Hmmmnn?...Wait.....That's it!! All this time, she kept avoiding my attacks without launching a single attack....why is that?? Is she waiting for my Magic power to be depleted of.....

Now, it makes sense...

Unfortunately for her, I can do this whole day nonstop, 

Even so I don't to waste Magic power any more....but It'll be pointless if she won't charge at me head-on..."

Trying to find an answer, a brilliant idea went in my head...."Her precious Doll" that is...

As I grasped the most appropriate answer, I noticed the naked vampire in front of me... 

An apparent anxiousness in her face while searching something.....which is obviously the doll in front of me....

The way she lost her equanimity just because of a missing doll makes me wanna laugh....

I wonder what would she do if I'll destroy her precious doll in front of her very own eyes?.....

Would she cry and get depressed..? what kind of face she would display....

Now I'm curious, hehe...

At that time, she face at my direction...but her attention is obviously focused from the doll lying in front of me.....

I sensed a sudden movement of a magic power arround her...This convinced me that she's planning to dash in front of me to retrieve her doll....

But she's already too late, I already casted my spell before she can move on her feet....

A swirling Black Flame arised from the magic circle and wrapped the doll....

I commenced a Multiple Magic Barrier subsequently to prevent her advancing....I want her to watch her dear doll to be destroyed, and impart to her what it feels to be powerless....

She keep hitting the barrier with her sole fist like a madman as she screamed 

「 GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!! PLEASE BREAK!! PLEASE!!! 」like that....

I just realized how important that doll for her  when I saw her pleaded like that.....

Good thing for her, I didn't actually destroyed her doll...

Yes, she thought that her doll got devoured by the black flame....but the truth is, I only put it in my 『 Dimensional Storage 』

I just want to erased that calm expression of her cuz I find it annoying.....

By the time the black flame inside the barrier disappeared, she fall into her knees for the reason that her doll cannot be seen in there....probably thinking that her doll had reduced to ashes.....

I pity her state as her tears flowing rapidly, and her fist is bleeding nonstop while murmuring something that I cannot hear...

After a few moments, she raised her head and look directly into my eyes....

her face doesn't show any emotion, while tears dripping down from her empty eyes sends me chills down my spine for some reason....An expression which I have ever seen before...

Normally, as soon as my enemies realized how destructive my power is, they can only think about running and save their own life, the other lose their hope to escape and accept their fate to die....with the traces of Despair, Agony and Fear on their face...

But this one is different, even though her eyes are dead, something, something is not right...

"what is the meaning of this uncomfortable sensation?"

While asking myself, looking for an answer to my question...

An unexpected event caused a goosebumps race over my skin....

And the reason is—

...the sudden upsurge of Magic Power..

An immense and incomparable Magic power....

But that's not the worst of it, the overwhelmingly magic power is coming from the very body of the vampire before me....

I can feel like even the whole place is shivering in fear before her deathly aura...

I won't deny, this is the first time my danger senses on full alert.....

'What's this? What's happening to me? Why is my body trembling!?.....no way, I'M SCARED!?... Ahahaha, after 400 years....

I have encounter it now at last.... this shivering of mine, this icy bitter feeling...

 So this is what " FEAR" means...as if death came alive and is coming to collect my soul....

"Oh god, what have I done!!! What kind of thing have I unleashed upon this world!!!!

 I have awakened the beast from it's slumber...

This tyrannical deathly veil of aura!!

An icy wave of demonic power!!!

This deathly feeling....

There's no doubt about it....

This is not your average vampire anymore...
