Chapter 16: The Indecisive Battle: Dragon v.s.Vampire Part 4

A loud roar echoes around the place emptily ...
Normally, a Dragon's roar indicates their rage, or display of their power to intimidate.....
But the current situation is different, the black Dragon; Ceres now is liberating a loud Voice, due to agonizing pain she's going through.....
Just what happened?
Ceres is now paying off her own mistakes... Being too overconfident on her Magic barrier and underestimated her opponent's ability.....
Ceres can't comprehend what happened...
Those "thin matters" should have been nullified by her Magic Barrier, that should've happened!!
Nevertheless, at the moment that the Vampire's ability got in touch with Ceres's barrier, Ceres's fully reinforced; and three layered of Magic Barrier got pierced as if it's just a child's play...
Naturally, Ceres got surprised on what happened....but she doesn't have the right time to put a care about that...
Cuz a Millions of thin matters is charging at her direction....
Considering her gigantic body, worst-case, she doesn't have any Mana left, there's no escape for her.
But, Ceres isn't the type one to let herself be subdued merely like that.
Believing that she was being driven into a corner one-sidedly, Ceres thought that the only way to win was to somehow withstand that attack....
' If I can withstand that, it's my win'
With this things on her mind, she strengthen her valor..... thus receives the Vampire's assault with her sole gigantic body.
She spread her wings as if she's about to hug her own death...
Without any sound, the hit comes with the speed of light...
And so, her unmatchable pain and punishment have started.
She can feel every solid attack she received as if those particles are tearing her flesh into shreds, like a blade cutting through her ribs and sternum to reach her organs...
For every half of a second that goes by , about thousands of "thin matters" hits her directly...
The speed of this Vampire's ability won't be easily be followed....only if you use a Magic sense....
Although Ceres's body was covered by a hard scale, and hardened skin, they all got pierced and got penetrated....
Just think of those "thin matters" piercing through her Magic barrier earlier, then how about her own flesh that only covered by a mere hardened scales...
It's pretty obvious that it won't help her even at least...it's as if Ceres is covered by a shield with a myriad holes..
「 ROOOOOAAAAARRRR!!!! 」(Ceres)
Ceres let out a roar that was more out of anger and pain... Her crimson warm blood had sprayed around the place as her whole body is getting penetrated by the vampire's attack...
Ceres fell to her knees..
' Endure it!!! Fucking endure it!! this body of mine! There's no way.....there's no fucking way that I'll die in this place.... I can... I can overcome this...'
after a few moments of undergoing an immense pain, the thin matters have run out, the same with those red droplets of water floating around them...
Currently left on the battlefield, the Vampire that is calmly watching Ceres's figure who is coughing a blood, with a small but countless of holes on her body...
A blood keeps flowing from every part of her body; result of the Vampire's attack...
But for Ceres, her own blood doesn't matter if the replacement is her own victor...as long as she wins, that's all that matters...
Technically, Ceres was on the ground bathed in her own blood.....but it is not enough to slay Ceres...cuz she possessed an high self-regeneration...
Her wounds are too small that is almost too hard to be spotted, but those wounds aren't shallow, and the worst; there's a countless of it...
But she can do something about it, all she need is 'time' to regenerate...
So she lay there silently, healing her own wounds while her opponent isn't taking any action.
'Seems like she runs out of Mana, considering that attack of her's. As she thinks the damage she has inflicted is severe, it's my chance to recover some of my Mana'
Then, Ceres sensed a movement of Magicules arround them, this indicates that the Vampire started to make her move...
This leaves her no other choice, she put all her might into her limbs so she could get up and face the Vampire once again....Ceres already recover the quarter of her mana, enough to throw a destructive attack...
Ceres maybe on complete disadvantage due to her severe wounds she got, but the Vampire isn't any exception...she used almost all of her mana just to use her skill 『 Blood of Tempest』
And unlike Ceres, her mana regeneration is not that high, only equal to those regular Vampires...
To be exact, the Vampire is the one on a complete disadvantage, not Ceres...
And Ceres is aware about this, that's the reason why Ceres is so certain on her victory...
「 GROAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!! 」(Ceres)
After Ceres raised her whole body from the ground, she muster her strength and released a loud roar. It is to announce to her opponent that Ceres can still fight and completely vanquished the Vampire's full forced attack..
Then, the Vampire dropped to her knees.
There's only one reason, she's run out of Mana...
Clearly, it's Ceres's win...
「 ROAARR!!! It's my win kid! No matter what effort you put in, it'll be deemed useless before me. But there's no need to feel ashamed losing to me, you should be proud that you have caused a damage upon my—」(Ceres)
「 Shut up.」(Vampire)
Ceres's speech got interrupted by a low voice came from the vampire in front of her..
「 Hmmn? Do you still intend to fight?...If I were you...you should lay down quietly and give up already, as time goes by, my strength is gradually returning....unlike yours that slowly depleting..even an idiot knows what the outcome is...」(Ceres)
「 I told you to shut up.」(Ceres)
After Ceres heard those words, the Vampire slowly raised her body and said—
"I'm not done yet"
