Chapter One: 1892: James

Trying to keep my calm I breath in and out. The man in front of me known as Principal Davis looked at me with a mean face.

"I'm sorry, I was ju-"

He smacked me in my face leaving a red mark to form before I could even finish my sentence. "You need not to say more and go to the solicitation room young man."

I look at him and break down in tears. But with good reason. The solitation room is where you go when you are especially bad and are put into to a room for the rest of the school day without any one els.

I walk through the halls and once I see it, I lay my head low. This wasn't the worst of their punishments. And I dare not speak of them. For my own good.

The door was heavy and made of Iron. A lock as long as a meter stick but as thick as a melon. The room was empty and dark, and the only light was from the food slot where they would slide you your lunch. Completely away from any one els. No other student would walk by to hear the tears and screams from another. Now I'm in their place. Crying like a baby.

I hear laughter from one another outside this hell hole. I then soon jolt up. The laughter sounded more like it was from inside these walls. I look around to only see darkness. Another laugh comes from within the darkness once more.

A cold breeze shoots by when a single candle is lit. I find strange to even remember when even a single candle were forbidden in the solitation room. And still is. Then 4 more candles light making a circle. Then the 6th lights in the middle revealing satan's circle.

The laughter grew more loudly while turning more deep and grim until the laughter of a beast was the only thing to be heard. Each candle was going out one by one. Until the room was black once again. Then the voices started whispering my name. James. Growing more louder, then the screams of the devil yelling at me, beating into my eardrums.

Then I hear scratching on the walls only for the candles to all light again. Instead of the to be expected 6th candle in the middle, the body of a mutilated boy replaced it. My breathing became cold sending a cold fog into the air. James looked at the boy to try and see who this was. The blood seemed like an endless stream reaching it's way to James. The cause of death seemed not to be stabbing but slicing through, but not far enough to reach the outer layer of the other side of his body. His mouth stitched shut and his eyes seemed to be a big blood ball. There seemed to be strain on the neck and fingers broken. Pale skin and dirty cloths, oh the cloths striked James only to be explained by chilling. Wearing the same school uniform as James.

Then James became skeptical on this boy's identity. He had the same color and length of hair as James did. The same pair of glasses and facial features and structures as James, and along all things, he had the same scar on his check as James.

Then all the candles went out. The coldness strangles around his body. The taste of evil touched the tip of his tongue. The whispering grew again all around him. Taunting him.

The flames on the candles arise. The boy in the middle was standing. His stitched mouth tries to smile, but a weak grin fades out, and James is panting. The Candles go out once more, and when they go back on, the boy was not there. The candles go out again, and a boy's laugh was the only laugh to even be able to let out was heard.

A scene from outside these walls has the only sounds of James dreaded screams. A second of silence followed by a slam on the door, the blood leaking out through the food slot.

Another few seconds pass for the last chill was the devil's laugh filled the rest of the silence.
