A Tarkintown Siege

15 BBY: Tarkintown, Kijimi

KAI TWIRLED HIS SABRE

Left and right, he cut down several stormtroopers making his way into the hangar. Bothka and Xido followed suit as they came before the war filled the hangar. Two opposing forces stood across from each other; one attempting to bottleneck the other while the other attempting to get free!

"You brought the clones," Kai smiled as he deflected millions of more blasts.

"We cured them, they should be fine with us here!" Xido answered as she called into the comms. "Goldie, come in! How's it going?"

"We're almost through General," Goldie answered while he ordered the men to look for a weak point. "They'll break in no time!"

Right after he uttered those words, at the edges of the hangar awoke several AT-ST's. Their legs extended further outward as the bodies rose tall into the air. They pointed back to the clones and began firing. They would blast several clones over while others scurried to find cover.

"He had to say it," Kai sighed before he surveyed the hangar's ceiling to find a way over to the machines. "I'll go aerial, meet you both on the floor!" He suggested before he lept upwards as he clung to the hangar's metal pipes. Making his way to the gunners.

"Affirmative," Xido replied before she led Bothka down and secure him in his old starfighter. "Hey, stay seated. Breathe, we'll get you out of here!"

"Alright, let's get the party started," she ignited her sabre and run towards the machines. Beginning a brutal takedown while the clones did their best to fire back.

-

Meanwhile, Kema and Zena kept their grounds in a gruelling lightsabre duel. Kema opted to defend herself and let Zena tire herself out. The room began collapsing as the two dodged each other's blows. As they prolonged in the duel, Kema noticed some changes in Zena's style of fight.

"Someone did this to you," she said. "Snap out of this aggression!"

"No, you all did this to me," Zena lunged forwards and with her sloppy Form Five couldn't keep up no longer. "If I can't kill you, then you won't have me,"

Zena retracted her sabre and thrust her hands towards the ceiling as its whole integrity fell to the floor and upwards she ascended. Kema cut through the rubble with her sabre and chased her upwards.

As they lept upwards floor by floor, Kema tried to make the ascension harder for Zena and catch her before she could escape. In an unleashed rage Zena would blast through ceilings and thrust the debris towards her foe and leap upwards with all her might.

Crashing onto the last obstacle, she came to the roof where she found her ship awaiting her departure. Kema who hanged for dear life, disoriented by the debris of falling ceilings. Her body told her to stop. Millions of little cramps would begin taking over!

-

"We're in trouble!" a stormtrooper screamed inside of his AT-ST as Kai pierced the vehicle's windshield and cracked through taking out the troopers with two figure four cuts. Retracting the sabre, he jumped into the cockpit and began firing on other AT-ST's.

Meanwhile, Xido ran on the ground floor and took out a plethora of troopers before she targeted one of the giants. She lept upward igniting her staff and began cutting down the legs. She would separate her staff and using her Jar'Kai sabres cut underneath an unsuspecting AT-ST and took out the pilots with ease.

"General we've made it through," Goldie spoke in the comms. "We have a short window before they recover, I suggest you move it!"

"Make your way out, I have a ship!" she called in.

"Yes ma'am," he closed in a salute! "Alright boys, exodus awaits!" he signalled as the clones revealed their spots and ran towards the troopers in a hard push.

Many would give their lives to make sure their comrades made it out, but the lot of them successfully pushed through and made it out. Also, just outside awaited transports that stood in front of fiery blazes. Some could make out tie-fighters that fell from the sky.

"General, we got a hold of the security protocols!" a trooper ran towards Kema and reported, "Kema's on the roof!"

"Alright, escort Bothka away and I'll get her!" she retracted her sabre and jumped into a starfighter.

"Yes, ma'am!" he saluted, then ran off with the rest of the legion.

-

"Stop!" Kema yelled before Zena took another step! "Please, I beg!"

Zena turned to hear whatever she had to say, most likely didn't listen anyway.

"Come back," Kema pleaded. "To us, to me!"

"I can't!" she attempted to hold her tears back. "He won't listen, I must do this on my own!"

"He?"

"This is way bigger than you, Corde!" Zena chuckled in her hidden grief. "You will never understand what I've been through,"

"Then help me understand," she said. "You don't even know me, this is serious!"

"I'll let you help me," Zena uttered. "From that hole," she threw her hands towards Kema and Kema flew back into the hole only to cling again. Zena then scurried onto the ship and entered it in a quick sequence.

Zena then ignited the engines, and the ship hummed to life. She began the liftoff sequence but just before she could lift off, Kema back up to the roof and dashed towards the ship.

"Goodbye loser!" Zena sighed.

However, as she lifted off, the ship paused harshly in mid-air. Thinking her systems were failing, she cranked the engines further, but to no avail. Looking back, her eyes caught Kema pulling back with her hands outstretched and the ship sputtering towards her control.

"C'mon!" Kema grunted as her feet began cracking the floor.

In a smart move, Zena let go of the steering and the ship descended to disorient Kema. As Kema fell back, she veered the ship out of the way and ascended into the clouds and out into orbit. Finally, the ship zoomed into lightspeed.

In a graceful depression, Kema fell to the ground and after the pain in her throat couldn't stay any longer, she let out a painful wail to the sky. Her head sank to her arms and tears filled them over.

Down below ascended a starfighter that came to land a distance from Kema. Xido hopped out to come to see her apprentice in deep anguish; she embraced her padawan in deep arms.
