After that fateful night, everything changed for Jennifer. Gone was the girl who used to smile and laugh along with others, cry in their pain and help them in their need. What remained was only an emotionless vessel who just had one aim in her life: Revenge.

"No one can control me anymore!! I will live my life as per my wish." She said with hatred in her voice.

"Heh...Love is what? The best thing that happened to you?? Tsk..tsk..such a fool. Remember, love is just another name of destruction. The ones who believe in love are all fools. I was also one of them, but not now. I will never fall in love again. Also, don't come crying to me once you face a betrayal."

"What will it take for you to accept me?" 

Jennifer looked at the man as if he had grown two heads!!

"Mister I have told this earlier too, I don't want to get into a relationship, so why not stop chasing after me?"

"Please tell me what should I do to make you mine?" The man pleaded.

Annoyed by his questions about the same thing again and again, Jennifer finally replied, "If you can defeat me in a fight, I will think about it." 

She was quite confident that no one could defeat her.

"You lost...."

"No, this can't be true right," murmured Jennifer. She was totally confused and shocked. Never did she think that 'he' would be able to defeat her. 

"So what do you want?" She asked with confusion laced in her voice.

"Are you sure you will fulfil my wish?" He smiled much to her displeasure.

"Yes, I never back down on my words." She spoke back with gritted teeth, showing her displeasure, even though she knew this decision of hers might lead her into something complex.

"Marry Me," He demanded.

"Wait what?!! But you are gay right?" This was her immediate response to his demand. Who in their sane mind would want to marry a gay? That too with the man with whom she was previously in a fake relationship.

He chuckled and slowly bent down near her ear "You will know when you will marry me" he whispered.

"You..."

Torn between the battle of her brain and heart, Jennifer doesn't know what she should choose? 

Should she listen to her brain which was constantly signalling her of the alert or should she follow her heart, which would pound erratically for some handsome 'devil'?

Because of her traumatic past, Jennifer had sworn never to fall in love again. To never let her heart skip a beat again for someone. But she fails, terribly; when a certain dashing devil enters into her dark world.

Will this devilishly handsome man break the walls of her heart? 

Will he be able to help her past her traumas and her insecurities?

The next morning, Jennifer got ready and came down from the second floor where her room was situated only to find Jason sitting at the dinning table for breakfast.


"Good morning Jen" he wished back. "Did you sleep well last night."


"Jenny I will be going out to bring some groceries."


She then pulled out a chair and sat down and heard Jason speak, "What are you planning to do next?"


Jason raised one of his brows in a questioning way, "What are you going to do Jen?"


"Planning to build my own company" was a cut-short reply.


Jason was surprised, "Are you seriously going to do this? Are you sure?"


"I have already decided on this yesterday night. I will try to take back things more legally."


Jason sighed, he knew that no one can change her mind once she has decided on something.


"You know that you will have to make appearance in public. What if that person finds out? He will..."


He was interrupted, "You were the one who asked me to leave my past behind. He is one of the person from my past and I have already forgotten about him. Even if I have to face him, I will."


"Jason, I will have to face them in the near future and I can't stop this from happening. So for that I have to be fully prepared. I have to make my base firm and strong. I know you are worried but after thinking over the things thoroughly, I feel that it is no use in hiding and doing things."


"Ok Jen, if you want this then I am not stopping you. But you have to remember that I will always be there for you."


Jennifer felt warmth flooding in, "Thank you Jason."


"No need to thank me Jen. You are my bestie and there is no need for these words." He continued, "But what are you going to do now? You have not taken business classes."


"Which university are you planning to go?"


"I heard that HEC is planning on taking crash courses for 15 months. I wish that I can go there."


Jason was surprised, "You know that it's best university in Paris and it is very difficult to go there."


"You don't have to worry about that as my dad's friend is a professor there and I have already conversed with him about this in the morning. He has already left one seat for me."


"That's great then. But again you will have to be careful for some time. You cannot appear in public till you have some power in your hand."


"I know that, and I have already taken care of that problem."


"Ok then, I will get going. I have to report grandfather about Lefen unit."


"Should I accompany you?" asked Jennifer.


"No, it's okay. I will talk with him." He then suddenly remembered something, "When are you going join HEC?"


After Jason left, Jennifer went back to her room and made a call.
