Mary Diaz urged Jennifer with her packing.
"Mom, stop it. I am no longer a child. I have taken everything I need for this trip. You don't have to worry." Jennifer was irritated by her mother's constant nagging.
"Even though you are no longer a child, but for me you are still small and immature. This is your first time going alone somewhere, I am worried about your safety."
"Oh mom, c'mon. I have made a good friend, she is pretty friendly and also uncle Smith would be going with us. So, you should not worry, okay?"
"Fine, fine. Call me whenever possible and also try to make some more friends."
"Yes, yes I will."
"Try finding a boyfriend too." Mary winked at her.
"Mom!!" Jennifer was stupified and somewhat speechless.
"What mom, ah? You are already twenty three and you are still single. How can I not worry? You were much more livelier in your teenage, but now you seem so dull. If not for you having crush on several boys in your school life. I would have believed that you were not into men."
"Mom, are you serious? I just lost interest in dating. And I am just twenty three. Woman nowadays marry in their thirties. I just want to do something in my life. I have my goals. Instead of wasting my time in dating, I would rather study hard and become a businesswoman."
"Okay, okay. I will not force you. Quick go now, or else you would be late."
"Okay, bye mom." Jennifer kissed her mother's cheek and made her way towards HEC. In the taxi, she put on her ugly makeup.
The driver kept glancing at the beautiful woman in the backseat through rear view mirror. He was lusting over her and had lewd thoughts. But her one cold look made him shiver all over and he dared not look back again.
When the driver again took a glance at the backseat, to inform Jennifer that there destination had arrived, he froze.
'This woman, how come she became this ugly?'
Jennifer got down from the taxi and paid her fare. When she was no longer in view, the frozen man came back to his senses.
Was he hallucinating?
The woman looked totally different. One was like a beautiful angel, while the other was like a garbage.
'Were they the same?'
The University had arranged a big bus for all the business class students. There were around fifty of them.
Jennifer sat down with Ava. The chatter box started speaking non stop throughout the half an hour journey.
Versailles was around seventeen kilometres away from Paris. Hence they arrived in Versailles after half an hour.
The hotel was already booked. Ava and Jennifer were given one single room.
"Why don't I see your brother today?" Jennifer asked Ava as she had not seen Emmett in the bus and nor after entering the hotel.
'Is Emmett not going to come? That's great!!'
No big devil will be there to disturb her now.
"Are you already missing my brother?" Ava beamed in joy after Jennifer asked about Emmett. She thought that her plan had finally succeeded. She will now soon receive a big gift from Derek after completing this mission.
Jennifer rolled her eyes and murmured, "Who wants to miss a devil. I don't want to get admitted to a mental asylum by the end of the trip."
"Did you speak something now?"
Ava just heard her speak something like 'devil'.
"No, I did not. Actually I have to cooperate with him afterwards, so I should at leat know if he is going to come or not."
"He had a business meeting in the morning. He would be coming in the afternoon."
Jennifer's mood dampered hearing this.
'The devil will not give her a piece of mind.'
Ava had already told her the reason why Emmett had joined the classes, despite him being a business man already. She did not mention about Rasmon Enterprise. Emmett did not liked telling people about his businesses. He liked being aloof.
When Jennifer had come to know this. She felt a little proud of herself after the practice test. It was her first time and she had already got 98 marks in it. Even though she was second in her class, and had got two marks less than Emmett. But after all it was her first time.
Emmett was not very interested in these types of test. But due to his mother's constant nagging, he had to score full marks to inspire and motive Ava.
