NO BUSINESS MAN COULD BE TRUSTED

A pair of blue eyes stared back at a pair of grey eyes.

Adam just stared at her for few seconds and then retracted his gaze away from her.

Jennifer heaved a sigh internally.

Her big spectacles made her eyes look like a faint shade of turquoise blue. Ava for the first time stared intently at her, "You eyes are too beautiful Alissa. Why don't you remove those big spectacles? You would look more good without them."

"Oh, actually my number is a bit large and I cannot see things situated at a large distance without wearing them." Jennifer skilfully lied.

"Why don't you just wear lens then? I am not forcing you to wear them. I just now recognised that your eyes are truly very beautiful."

"Oh, thanks for the compliment. I actually like wearing spectacles."

Seeing that she did not have any plans of removing her big spectacles. Ava did not dwell further on it. Instead she continued gazing at the man on the sofa.

The man just kept smiling without opening his mouth. It was already two minutes since he settled down on the sofa.

'Does he have no plans of speaking at all? Why is he acting like a doll?' Ava thought, she might as well keep him at her home as her self acquired possession.

What nice would it feel to look at a man as soon as she entered her house, sitting on a chair with a sweet smile on his lips. Just looking at his smile made her happy.

Worried that her friend might fall in love with Adam, Jennifer warned her, "Hey don't day dream. Even though the man's smile looks harmless, he is still considered a capable business man. You know that not all the men are sweet as they look. They are crueler and heartless when the time comes. Be careful never to fall in love with a man easily."

Jennifer just advised her based on her own experience. No business man could be trusted.

"Why do you say that the business men are crueler and heartless. Not all the men are same. As you can see my brother, he is such a sweet person." Ava did not want Jennifer to misunderstand Emmett so she had to lie and say that he was a sweet person. But in truth she knew that he did not care about his own brother. Thinking of Derek, he must be still working hard in South Africa. He must have tanned a lot.

Far away in South Africa, the man whom Ava thought to be working was enjoying his time. He was currently resting in a restaurant and was looking at the sea from his balcony.

What a great life!!!

In Versailles,

Adam finally broke the silence, "Hello, you must have heard of Sion Group. As your Professor told, I am planning to start a sub-branch of my company in Versailles. I hope to have your support, also you can come anytime to me if you have any doubts in these 7 days."

With that he stood up and went towards his car along with his bodyguards who trailed behind him and drove off.

He was completely the same person from the past who used to smile at her and was very friendly. He treated her as his own sister. But he had changed a lot afterwards, almost that he had tried to choke her to death. He was like a bloodthirsty animal hunting his prey.

Maybe he concealed his real side very well. If one were to meet him now, they would feel themselves getting close towards him. He made one feel warm and friendly. No one would believe that he would turn into a demon and try to kill his own friend just because she had rejected his brother, which resulted him in turning into a psycho.
