Reuniting

The fire otter didn't seem concerned with her new complection, but she herself was mystified.

"I don't understand." She spoke softly, at the same time grew extremely tired. She closed her eyes despite fighting to stay awake. The warm fire otter gave her no assistance to help her do so.

She woke to laughter and decided to hide higher in the trees. Still tired she couldn't tell who was laughing. She peaked through some branches to see a little girl on Damon's shoulders and Saundra taking the granite bear by leash behind her.

"We left her somewhere around here." Damon looks around. Iona does too before looking up and tugging on Damon's ears.

"She is scared." Iona whispered.

"It doesn't look like anyone has come by in a while. I'll go take a look around." Saundra sighs.

"It's all good. Why don't you show Iona where she can pick some berries?"

"Sure, whatever. Just stay a foot away from me." Saundra begins walking away.

"Fanella? Are you alright?" Damon calls out.

"Yeah, I just freaked myself out a bit. Its probably best I stay out of sight to not cause a commotion."

"What do you mean?"

"I… Its best if you see for yourself." Fanella called down. She wasn't actually scared to be seen, it was just alarming to herself. She wanted to figure out why the curse broke.

"Where are you?" He jumps up.

"Here." She speaks standing right behind him. As he turns around he is silenced. In his defense he had never seen a light Elven before.

Her skin was pale, like snow, her eyes were now icy blue. Her hair was a shiny white, but warm, like it had gold imbedded into each strand. Her lips were pale as well, but still pink, as to compliment her other features. On her neck light purple markings dance on her skin, drawing his eye, as it was supposed to.

"Princess?" Was the only word he could muster before falling off the branch. He sat up and placed his hand to his head, contemplating what he had just witnessed.

"They exist." He whispered, not that he didn't believe Fanella before, but actually seeing it was something different.

"Why'd you go?" Fanella called out.

"...I uh… thought I saw something." He didn't wish to admit that she was too stunning. He made his way back up and was just meserized as she talked.

"I was just trying to figure out why we ran and hid from everyone, and I thought it had something to do with my skin."

"Uh huh."

"I thought maybe if I'd tell the little fable maybe I would figure something out. I realized that we were wrong and did terrible things."

"Right…"

"I don't know if the Light elves are worth saving or if they should stay in their little cage."

"Yea."

"... And I plan to sacrifice your sister to Inami in a ritual."

"Sounds great."

"Damon! Geez, what do I do now?"

"Don't get caught. It would have been bad before, but now that you look like this you will be a much bigger target, plus not to mention you are the freaking princess!"

"What do you mean caught?"

"We've stayed away from most people, but if we meet a bounty hunter then we'd be in trouble. They would sell you to the king of Bilbok in an instant. Its a War Fanella, you would die."

"War?"

"War...Fanella you didn't know? I am certainly surprised you got this far."

"Ok, tell me!"

"Well this is Ishnal. Across the Barin Ocean is Bilbok. They have drained all the energy from Bilbok and now the king wants more… Wait Fanella if you didn't know about this then why were you trying so hard to save your people?"

"I didn't know. I just want… a whole country is dead? What do I do?"

"Hey Damon!" Saundra calls out.

"Whats going on?" Damon peaked out.

"Dude this kid is having some sort of mental breakdown! I don't know what to do!"

"Damon do we trust her?" Fanella speaks of trusting Saundra.

"I don't think we have much of a choice. I won't let anything happen to you." Damon smiled.
