Not to brag, but I realised that it was a fun feeling in the heart to help people. At first, my plan donating to Taal victims was a joke until I called my neighbor, Pines (of course, not his real name). Pines is my funny and trusty friend who is just one call away when I needed help.
I contacted him, saying that I have a plan to help the victims of the Taal volcano ash fall, but I have no idea how. I looked up to Twitter until I saw my classmate, Molly's post. Molly is my classmate who is an anti-Duterte and a member of a non-government organization. I asked her on how to send my donation to the Taal victims, and she gladly helped me through the process. She even assisted me through my grocery shopping with my friend, Pines.
I was so shocked that I am with her the whole grocery shopping coz I have a crush on her since I moved to the science school. She was so beautiful, and I love her standing in life. One time, I was with her and my friends in a bar, not the wild ones. We drank Smirnoff and San Mig Light until we get drunk and talk shits together. She opened topics about her stand on the government, Duterte, and LGBT. She was so freaking knowledgeable about these things. She even backed up this shits with scientific and research evidence. What she said, while we were almost drunk, where all facts from the Internet and the books that she read.
Although she is kind and likable, almost everybody in my batch still hates her. Maybe it's because of her strong personality and her will to fight for our country. Maybe it's because of people who are butt hurt at her factual statements. Her influence is so strong at my school that even my classmates joined her organization, which is against Duterte. She doesn't manipulate people, just spitting sick facts about the society.
Any ways, back to the story. Together with Pines and Molly, we bought things that are beneficial to the Taal victims. Food and water are the top priority. My budget is only 500 pesos, which is my left over from my Baguio trip. We bought 2 6-liter water, because you know, stay hydrated, my Gregoritas. We also bought a bunch of ready-to-eat canned goods and biscuits. I also looked for N95 mask, but they were out of stock. We can't believe that we only spent 500 pesos, but we bought a lot of goodies.
After buying these goodies, we went home and divided the loads. We decided to go home first, because the donation center was busy at that time. I gave Molly the lightest: bread and biscuits, while I gave Pines the other water and bread. While going home, I never knew that Molly lived far away. I decided to help her go home since I have lots of free time today. It was still fun, coz I managed to talk to her and help her. It was like I gained extra XP from my crush.
It was fun helping people. It was a simple donation, but at least I'm proud that I contribute to this society as a Filipino, unlike the President there who just flying in his private jet. You know, President, go pee in the Taal and eat the ashes. I would love to watch your ash Mukbang challenge.
Anyways, I have to sleep coz I still have classes tomorrow. My title defense is postponed so that's why I have time to write this chapter. Good night, and feel free to contact Sam Jetson if you wanna donate to the Taal victims.
