Fuck off

Right after the voice of the old man disappeared.

= "Okay, can anyone please listen to me? I have a plan on how to…" =

Murmurs and talks could be heard clearly, they are mostly nonsensical spouts that mean nothing and is useless to me or the other two.

Forming an alliance is not a viable solution to this, the reason being I can see the eyes of those present. And as I cannot determine their goals and agendas, the best thing I can do is to unhesitatingly move forward and ignore the useless sacrifices who do not want to go along the path of hardship.

= "Vir, Van, what do you think should we do?" =

= "Hunt monsters." =

= "Hunt monsters." =

The two smiled at each other as they got into an agreement.

I wish to say something so that I'll be able to get alone so that I'll be able to comprehend the emotions of humanity Lethias had been bugging me about.

But as I hesitated as I did not know what to say to them.

Vir and Van were in an agreement which is both rare and weird. Looking at them getting along so much is really weird for me because I only ever see them fight.

Human emotions, humanity, and kindness are still something new to me despite my incessant desire to learn them. I wish to know because I can fell something isn't right, but, I can also tell that something is growing within me that tells me not to feel such emotions.

As to what that is, I do not know.

Vir, Van, and I didn't need to think much of what kind of strategy we are going to use as we separated from the group of examinees. We were thought to prioritize the mission and if possible, travel in fours to ensure maximum success.

= "Hey, where are you guys going!?" =

And when we were just about to leave, someone called out to us, and I had to admit, his voice was calm but also urgent as if he was trying to stop something from happening instead of being arrogant which was pretty rare.

= "What do you want? We're going to hunt some monsters on our own now." =

Van was as impatient as he was tall. The man who called us had blonde hair and blue eyes, and he seemed to be from some well-established family or something or that sort.

= "I-I mean, why don't we work together? It will be far easier to go and pass if we go together right? And, I have an idea on how all of us can pass without anyone getting failing." =

The blonde man wanted to say something, but as he spoke with helplessness. Can he see Van's true nature? No, he can't, he's simply saying that.

Van snorted and let out a burst of laughter.

= "A man with a golden spoon in his mouth is asking us to cooperate." = Van was keeling over from laughing too much, but as he raised his head and run his fingers through his hair, = "Shut the fuck up, this is a competition, we don't have time to play with you guys, and besides, do you think you can convince them all to join your side? Such bullshit, hey guys, let's go." =

Vir said nothing to follow up the words of Van. He only smiled for he too believed the words Van had uttered were true, and as we try to leave once again, a tide of bloodlust swept over our direction and as I discreetly turned my head back, a woman was wearing white darted forward.

She wielded a sword and her eyes glowed an amber hue.

* 'An earth elemental warrior? She's at the peak of Gold-Grade Rank-3…she's weak.' *

= "You arrogant bunch, how dare you speak to him like that?" =

Oh, she's talking about the blonde guy? Is she a follower? Well, it doesn't matter because the instant she made her move, Van already moved as well. He appeared before the woman and as he tightly clenched his fist, and punched out!

The woman who was still darting forward suddenly glowed a green light as she Van's fist was about to hit her. But that green light shattered as Van's fist pierced through and her face crumpled and was sent flying several tens of meters away.

Like a skipping stone in a river, her body skipped on the sand before stopping. She groaned and with great difficulty, she raised her head and looked at Van.

= "Y-you, bastard!" =

But Van didn't care about her and just turned to Vir who was adjacent to his left.

= "Why did you save her?" =

Yeah, I was wondering that also.

Vir chuckled and shrugged his shoulders before speaking softly that only the three of us could hear it, = "Kill her and there's a chance that we'll fail, the association might grade us for our actions, especially on killing. Remember, this is a Righteous organization, they do not condone killing…at least not publicly." =

Van snorted and he looked at the blonde man who was now glaring at him. The blonde man wanted to make his move, but he chose to stay his hand and turned to his foolish companion who was sent flying by Van instead.

We walked away out of that place and soon, group after group also left. Only a few remained.

And as only the three of us were together as we walked, I asked Vir about something.

= "What spell did you stick on her? Is it the same spell you used on everyone else?" =

Surprised, Vir raised a brow as he cunningly smiled.

= "Hehe, it seems like nothing escape your eyes, my good friend. That spell is known as a Seed Demon Flower. It will let me know where they are, though just the general direction of it. I can't kill it but that should be enough." =

= "Okay, that's enough then, let us hunt these guys first." =

Van didn't say anything so he must have been aware of what Vir was doing in the shadows. Casting [Fly] spell on Vir and I leaving Van on the ground.

As Van steadied himself, the sands exploded and a centipede around 15 meters big appeared.

The hunt had begun.
