Facade

"Lethias…"

"You called?"

Lethias appeared from within my body. She was still the old mage I knew. She and I exchanged gazes; a feeling of uncertainty appeared in my heart…

"What is the Continent of Reverie like?" I decided not to ask the matter of my being.

"Is that the only thing you want to ask? Well, let's see, I am not originally from the Sanctuary so I don't really know much but Reverie is the…"

I already knew everything about Reverie, I simply wanted to change the details of our conversation.

Reverie was the Continents of the Elves; it was a place that had integrated with nature. Though it was like that, Reverie was a land with blossoming Nature Oriented technology and was unlike any of the Four Continents.

In truth, the Four Continents were vastly different from the rest. From their constructions to their cultures, all of them were different. Just looking around this room, that was oversized in terms of human perspective, but as it was mainly based in the Thalius Continent, which was the Continent of Titans, this was normal.

Lethias finally finished her discussion and decided to leave my side to wander the ship. No one would be able to see her anyway, so I didn't bother saying anything otherwise.

Besides, Lethias was far more intelligent and experienced than I, if she ever found herself in a problem that would either mean she wants me to deal with it as training or the enemy was extremely strong.

I stepped out of the room to get some breathing room from the stuffy room with what seemed to be the remnants of Lightning Mana. I walked down a hallway without any direction.

I want to regain my standing, my emotion must come back, if I am perturbed, my own thinking will be affected with useless thoughts… one, two, and three… I have no managed to control everything.

My emotions and the movements of my muscles, down to the very last bit of my bit, I have managed to grasp it all.

'As I thought, emotions are only good if I can control it.' Doubts are clouding my judgment and it feels like I am being manipulated… and this is just the lowest of all emotions, I fail to understand how Vir and Van manage to live with such nuisances all their lives?

Then again, Lethias said that they are who they are thanks to emotions.

As I was walking down the hallway, I chanced open a person going about trying to deal with a vending machine…

"What the hell is wrong with this machine? How dare you take my money and not give me the item that I was promised!?" The man shouted at the vending machine before proceeding to hit it multiple times.

Seeing his plight, I decided not to do anything when I suddenly stopped by his side. I looked at the vending machine and decided to give him a hand, it was a strange action for me to do. But somehow, I wanted to engage with this person... it feels like I would learn something from him if I do so.

"Please step away…" I said calmly as the man instinctively followed my commands, BANG! I went ahead and kicked the vending machine with all that I had… this method had been taught by Lethias herself.

Tak! And as the items that had been stuck inside fell, I can wholeheartedly say that it works without fail.

"Hmm, why thank you, kind sir…?" he was speaking so kindly but when the man looked at me and quickly stood tall and poised his chest out as if he was a bird in mating season, "W-why are you here?"

"You appear to be rather different from when I last saw you, Sir Sullivan? Is this the real you perhaps?" I asked while remembering the Sullivan Feryal when I was taking the Special Examination, the one who lacked a sliver of class.

I thought he would be dangerous as he seemed like an arrogant and scheming snake, but it appears that I was wrong.

"Ahem — I mean, haha, you bastard, how dare you to look down upon me did you really think I could not use a machine such as this?" he asked with a completely different tone.

It was indeed a façade.
