Chapter 4- Comrades!

This time, I took one for the team. The acid rain was drizzling for a few hours before it poured like hell.

I used my huge body to cover my fellow comrades from the acid rain. They flew for their lives and found a relatively large mall. We hid there until daylight shone through the broken glass doors.

I slept like a baby the entire night while my comrades took turns guarding our section of the mall.

In the morning, I felt my body consolidating ready to pounce on any enemies. I used my soul to imprint their souls in my mind.

Looking inside my head, there was a cabinet box with 3 files inside. The box labelled mind bees, with the files being mind bee number one, number two, and number three.

Taking out all three files, I improved their bodies a little bit. I added more antennas and made them stronger. Now they can control more bees at once and effectively. I also condensed their chitin exoskeleton on their heads.

I couldn't add anymore changes because I don't have a stable source of food for now. Looking at our hive's transformation from afar, it felt disgusting, with the rotten dead bodies of bees being dragged into the building and probably being diced up for food.

Suddenly, my mind's connection to my 'mother' the queen bee disappeared. This could only mean one thing, she died.

She probably came out from underground when the acid rain poured. Or she was attacked by mutant ants and worms. It was a risky move to escape underground anyways.

From what my 3 mind bees told me, the nearest beehive that accepted anyone was over 2000 kilometers away and it was the mother hive. Housing up to a million bees of several species.

When bees become loose-bees, meaning without an owner they were usually not accepted into any other hives so they usually died out fast.

But not me, oh no, even though I am a male bee I will be the Father Bee of my own hive. I will have queen bees as my concubines! Hahaha!

Although, thinking about breeding as a bee would be really disgusting. So maybe not. I did not want to waste any time so my fellow comrades and I set off for our adventure to find the mother hive.

As I fly through the forest, I could see strange plants glowing in daylight and animals that looked like Frankenstein's mad invention.

There was large patches of emptiness probably becauses of the bombs. However we did pass through small patches of forests.

About noon we found a group of humans. I listened to their conversation from the trees while munching on mutated boar meat.

"Krrr… zzzz Radio check 1 2 3 check 1 2 3, this is Joseph, the is my final message for the moving city. Location at Kiev border, south of Berlin, and west of Moscow. Must pay 5 gallons of honey or something equal or higher in value. Good luck!"

"Guys we need to join the Golden Gate gang! They're hiring, I think they had a mission to get honey as well!"

"Alright let's keep going guys, only about 2000 kilometers left!"

Seems like honey is a major commodity, not strange since honey lasts for a long time and has a variety of uses not just for food.

I guess we have to follow them for now since they know the way. Flying above the sparse trees should be enough, it's not like they have super hearing and our wings are incredibly quiet with the new upgrades.
