The Doctor

On the Drorax Plane, inside a magnificent palace that stretched as far as Australia in comparison, sat a middle-aged handsome man. His features were so breathtaking, it would literally cause a war if mortals were to lay eyes on his visage. His eyes were closed and his brows were furrowed in deep concentration that added a devilish charm to his look. There was no energy surrounding the man, and he looked just like a mortal. Except if you were truly powerful, then you would feel the suffocating aura surrounding the man. Beneath the exquisite robes and harmless look lay a beast so vicious, not many would dare cross him.

In his hands lay an orb that shone with resplendent but gentle light. The orb looked ethereal, yet it still maintained its perfect spherical form. Excluding the lights within the orb that seemed to contain the mysteries of the universe, the orb looked so mediocre, you wouldn't be blamed for considering it useless.

This man was simply known as The Doctor.

Cultivation is an arduous and slow-going process.

You find yourself spending countless years at a time in slow meditation, either accumulating energy or trying to comprehend heavenly laws. The few times that you are not in meditation, you are either fighting for resources or in discussions with like-minded individuals in a bid to advance your cultivation.

It is impossible to maintain your individuality with such training. In fact, most cultivators are insane individuals whose only drive is to accumulate more power.

Over time, you lose things such as your personality and even pieces of your soul. Therefore, losing something as insignificant as a name has never been a concern for the truly powerful.

Titles are the most convenient way to identify an individual. They are concise and describe the most memorable traits of an individual. I mean, after thousands of years, who would really remember someone's name when they might be dead in an underground cave for all you know?

The Doctor was his title from as far back as he could remember. Even he had forgotten his name in his millions of years of existence.

A million years may sound like an impossibility for a mortal or low-level cultivator but it was the blink of an eye to those monstrous existences. These are beings that have watched the birth and destruction of universes and planes. They could aid the birth of a universe, just as easily as they could stamp out one. Powerful individuals such as The Doctor have to control everything they do as even their breath could destroy planets if it was a little too forceful, which is also why they are lonesome entities.

The Doctor was so called, not for his healing or benevolence but for the exact opposite. This was a cruel man that was known to have traveled throughout multiple planes and universes just for the sake of learning more about the creatures in those places. And what better way to learn about a species than dissection and experimentation?

In the field of biology, there is probably no one with a better understanding than The Doctor.

When you've had a taste of power, it becomes impossible to relinquish it, especially when you know that you are just an ant to some people. Therefore, you strive for more and do anything in your power to grasp even more power. Such is the madness of cultivation. A madness that had greatly affected The Doctor.

Millions of years in the past, The Doctor stumbled across an inheritance. The inheritance was in the form of an orb that was said to have the powers to grant him the means to accumulate energy and comprehend laws from multiple places across the multi-verse. That orb had become his most treasured secret because he understood just how beneficial the orb could be.

Unfortunately, the conditions to take control of and activate the orb were extremely stringent. It was this that led to his weird habits of experimenting on creatures from all over without bias. From the truly weak insects in mortal planes without an ounce of cultivation to truly powerful monstrosities at his own level. All in preparation for the activation of this orb.

Suddenly, The Doctor opened his eyes and the room's entire atmosphere changed. It gained an ancient aura as if an archaic beast had just woken up. His eyes, which seemed to see through the mysteries of the entire universe, lit up with a strange gleam as he looked at the orb in his hands.

"Begin," He said in a solemn voice that carried the same ancient air about it. Immediately after, an image was projected in his mind.

[Command Received. Activation Initiated]
